Colombia had most of the ground Tuesday.

Croatia are half decent but struggled to qualify from an east qualification group needing the play offs so are far from invincible.

We will likely be favourites whoever we face but let’s cut the crap. We can’t flop now! Even if we go out Wednesday we’ve had our best World Cup showing outside of home turf ever. This team will be spoken in the same vein of Italia 90.

Go out or not no Englishman should be ashamed of what we have achieved.

I am talking here about football and never have a problem to congratulate the better team for a deserved win. I would even do that when we lose deservedly against the Netherlands or Italy. You on the other side can't even mention England in your last post, congratulating the loser of the match instead and that they are losing against the "weakest team left". I hope I will never be so bitter in my life that I forget about fairplay and sportsmanship

Fluked? We were in total control today. We were superb against a team that have consistently been solid.

Let’s be honest even against Colombia it took them 85 minutes to worry us.

Salty, I even have endured the ultimate humiliation of it. The Netherlands knocked us out in the semi finals of the Euro 1988 in my hometown Hamburg and I witnessed it live in the Volksparkstadion.
And yet I wasn't bitter about the loss (because it was deserved, the Netherlands were the better team. What made me bitter was the action of Koeman afterwards in the celebration (that I haven't seen after the match, only later on TV) but it had nothing to do with the match and the deseved loss and nothing to do with the Netherlands as a country.

As for the media, its exactly that which winds us up more than anything, because as I've said before, I have time for a lot of the England players past and present (despite some of the others being bellends - but none of us are perfect eh!); and of course I support Liverpool.
