Maisie Sly at the Oscar ceremony on Sunday evening. Maisie is profoundly deaf and all of her dialogue in the film is conducted by sign. An Oscar winner for Short Film (Live Action) "The Silent Child". Not bad for a 6 year old.

She is an amazing little girl and so sweet I could just give her a big hug. When asked by a TV interviewer what was the best thing about coming to Hollywood she replied "Visiting the zoo here." She has melted so many hearts. I wish I could sign so I could tell her how lovely she looks in that dress.
