8 for Weymouth, really impressed. Mussa in midfield for them is the standout player we’ve come up against by a mile, and otherwise they defended solidly and played some neat football out from the back. On that showing they’ll be mid-table and a potentially tricky opponent for good teams.

I see Leigh Curtis is already touting him as a potential future signing for us. Although the last guy we signed who played wel against us was Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain..

I see no Yeovil fans have responded yet. Can only presume it's because they don't know whether ratings are supposed to start from 1 or from 0

Chesterfield 4/10
For one of the favourites to win the league perhaps they just had an off day?
They were slow at the back & the Rowe / Tshimanga partnership didn't look to be working
Sickness bug in the squad according to James Rowe might explain the lacklustre performance. Fans there on the day said we were miles off it compared to our usual pressing game. 4/10 probably fair for the actual game.

I'll be kind and give you 3/10. Very disjointed with no apparent plan, didn't play as a team at all. Having said that we didn't give you a chance to do so.

Yep, 6. I'd have said Dagenham were 8/10 and your lot didn't look as good as them. It's easy to see your side as better than they are when you're up against an insipid bag o' shite like us on Saturday.

Is it too much to ask for you to be the same bag of shite on the 25th? Would appreciate it... :)

Yeah I'd go along with this.

I'd go as far as saying Yeovil were just slap bang average to be honest, mid table stuff. I'm not trying to play down their joy of victory, if they prove me wrong fair enough.

I honestly think if we'd played one of the top 5 or 6 we could have been on the end of a 5 or 6 job, the whole ground was toxic from the minute the first went in and then the second with the penalty and the red card, it was just carnage.

I can't believe Rusk's is still here to be honest. I was expecting a "Comunicado Oficial" headline come through on the bird app notifications this morning. Maybe it's because we have a game Tuesday and a couple of away games to try and ride it out.

Rusk is a dead man walking though. When the bullet gets fired, dunno. I would have done it after the game to be honest.

You need to do it now. Looks a situation that isn’t going to be salvaged.

Only problem is a lack of obvious candidates you can go for.

I know. Need to just nip in the bud. You know as well as I do mate, well we all know on here, once the fans have turned there's no way back.

Sounds a daft predicament to be in but I can see us going getting a 1-0 or something tomorrow night and we'll have sections doing the whole "keep the faith" stuff. You know the types.

Rusk isn't good enough, he'll never fulfill this clubs expectations.

Other candidates? I'm not as up to date on say out of work ex League managers.

My preferred candidate would be someone who knows lower leagues (doesn't necessarily have to be NL), anywhere from League One down who has experienced success and plays a front foot, direct (and when I say direct, I don't mean lumping it up, I mean a manager who gets wingers high, gets people in the box, builds up where they can but knows the limitations of a lower league standard defence that should not be passing it side to side and back all day)

You got any names? I thought Phil Parkinson was a good appointment for Wrexham IMO.

I'd give us an 8, we were excellent. Yes you were terrible but part of that was us not giving you a chance to do anything

Didn't go to Dover so can't comment on them. We've had a favourable start but rolling into Yeovil, Woking and Torquay next so expect us drop more points. Not overly convinced we are as good as perhaps I thought we might be yet, but hard to tell.

Agree with your last sentence. We've had an 'easy' start to the season and I don't think we've played particularly well yet.

It will be interesting to see how we fare away at Yeovil on Saturday who've won 3 on the bounce.

We now have a tougher set of games ahead of us:

Yeovil (a)
Torquay (h)
Woking (a)
Wrexham (a)
Southend (a)
Borehamwood (h)

It'll be a better benchmark of where we actually are. I'm in two minds, if we have another gear to find then we will surely go on and be a real title challenger - if this is as good as it gets... not so sure.

Definitely agree. Rowe has said it and I agree with him on this as well that 10 games is a good benchmark of where we are at. Given our first 6 being relatively easier games (Bromley aside) the next 4 on paper look much tough.
I'm eyeing up half a day at work to make Wrexham already thinking that'll be a big game for us.

I'd looked at getting a train out of Euston but no return journeys following the game for me.

Seven for Wealdstone probably. They moved the ball nicely and Umerah upfront caused us all sorts of problems. Dodgy at the back though, we were well off it and still scored three with plenty of other missed chances.

Southend. Generally a team of old men ,liable to be run ragged by some of the “gym bunny” teams in this league. Uncreative midfield, lumped balls food and drink to the giant centre-backs in most sides. Good striker and goalkeeper. Only 3/10 on last night’s showing.

Barnet get a 3. Awful defence and striker(s?), they've just got decent widemen really. Scored from 2 deflected shots from outside the box. Regardless, shameful to concede 2 to such a team.

Weymouth 5/10 Great going forward but not very good at defending, will upset plenty of teams and will finish mid table. Not bad for a part time side.

Yup, fair assessment. All three centre-backs are inexperienced at this level, and the NL's a hell of an unforgiving place to be learning on the job. We tried to get Dominic Revan back from Villa on loan, but he chose to go to Northampton, which is understandable, being a league higher and closer to home. We've yet to keep a clean sheet, so I think a decent loan signing sooner, rather than later, is inevitable.

It is for them, they'll be needing the points to avoid a relegation battle.
I read that wrong tbh. I read it that he was deliberately taking half day to make US think they regarded us as a big draw.

Another sell-out crowd no doubt though.
