As many of you know, with the impending (or seemingly immediate) closure of TFF, Saddlerrad and myself (Tractor_Boys from TFF) would like to keep the core community together at a new home as a result of the closure. We've received support from many of the regulars so we've decided to take the plunge.

Imminent rebranding is the first thing on the checklist, and we want your help on a name. Naturally, we're going to incorporate Premier League sections so 'thefootballleagueforum' doesn't quite cut it. Please post your suggestions and we'll go with the general consensus.

Saddlerrad was keen on 'Football Ninety Two'

Furthermore, we'd like to hear your thoughts on colour schemes for a redesign, and what sort of features you want to see. We see this very much as a community project and any input would be both welcomed and appreciated.

All the best,
TB & Saddlerrad

Don't fix what doesn't need fixing would be my advice. A similar design to the previous forum with the addition of the shoutbox etc. I'd get the basics up and then if people want sub forums for games in the future, then they can be incorporated if need be. Thanks very much for doing this by the way. Looking forward to the new look.

I would also be happy to donate. A similar design to TFF would be nice, if only for convenience sake.

The name is unimportant, but if pushed I would steer clear of the fucking football zone. That shit is cheesy as fuck.

FootieThreads is my choice.

Happy to help sort the forum software/development out. And donate.

Nothing with footie either. Christ. Can we just stick to 'football' something. Football threads. Football talk. Whatever. As long as stay away from words like 'zone' and cocking 'footie'.

I tried using synonyms for forum.

The Football Agora
The Football Public Meeting Place
The Football Marketplace
The Football Public Square

Or we could just drop the idea of using 'forum'...

I actually like 'The Football Forums'. A bit like how Silent Hill have rebranded to Silent Hills.

+1
But I guess this won't be available.

EDIT : I'd like this forum to be much lighter.

Trialing the SB below the forums, I appreciate it's a popular feature but considering we have our work cut out here in terms of getting discussion flowing inside the forums, I think it's a better placement to encourage users to use the forums aswell.

There's still a direct link in the navbar if you really can't be arsed scrolling.

For those in doubt or worried, I will not be joining the Moderating or Admin Team on this forum. I have had a chat with a few of you via FB, and feel it would not be right.

Just to put any doubt out of peoples minds

It's a shame it has been taken down less than 24 hours after the news.

Thanks for setting this up guys. Footiethreads was the name of a pretty successful forum that I was previously on so it has been used before just in case that effects your decision.

Under General sport, I would get rid of English football as that is already covered above. Created an international sub forum, european football sub forum, and wrestling sub forum.

Any idea why the forum was shut down? Lots of people won't know the url for this which is very disappointing.

Magic is right. Should just be one large NOTW game that never ends.

Is there a reason why I can't see the 'supports' bit under members' username?

Just want to say an absolute amazing job by Saddler and Tractor Boys to find a quick solution. Nobody will be criticising you about anything any time soon. Don't take too much advantage of that! ;)
