Where do you think your club needs to reinforce?

For me, I think Swansea needs to get a new striker. Gomis isn't terrible in my opinion, but he also isn't that great. A think a striker is definitely where Swansea need to look at.

A striker that is well within Swansea's realm in my opinion is Edin Dzeko.

for us i think we need another top class striker. we got lucky with injuries (or lack thereof) but with the extra games vardy will be pressed and the backup don't impress me

I've had a soft spot for them for a while now. Since I want to actually start following the PL once again, I figured I may as well find a team.

Stay on topic scouse lad!

Centre midfield initially i guess, arguably are most consistent player Gareth Barry is nearly 50 and his legs wont go on forever. Of course the chances are Lukaku will be sold/force a move and we will get some decent dosh to reinforce in a few areas..

We need to get rid of a few like Osman, Kone, Mirrallas, Macgeady who are too old or not good enough.

Hopefully Tom Davies will get a run of games early on in the season.

Oh and ' H ' will be a year closer to taking control of the Prem.

On topic enough for you senor?

The biggest concern for Chelsea is Conte arriving late due to the Euros. Having such short time to assess the squad means trial and error in competitive games. It could be a season of instilling a new system, it's a question of whether Abramovich will be patient enough if that's the case.

Conte is a great manager. He's not doing too well at Italy right now but at Juve he undoubtedly left a legacy: and he was also the one to create Paul Pogba into what he is today.

Not to deny Conte's influence in progressing Pogba, but he was already a mint player while at United. He was always going to be a star.

Well, he was immediately good enough to get in Juventus' first team and play most of the season. So yes.

Our goals against column tells the story.

We've played our League 1 back four pretty much all season (Bar a couple of disasters when Distin had to step, or fall, in) and they've generally coped reasonably well. But we couldn't defend set pieces in League 1, nor last year when we routinely conceded from corners, so it's no surprise that we still can't win a header, and any cross into the box causes untold carnage.

So a centre back and a holding midfielder are the biggest priorities. It seems to be a law somewhere that we have to sign a winger every transfer window so it'll be interesting to see who shows up.

I'm just saying that most Utd youngsters are touted as 'going to be stars' but most of them are found out when they make the step up to the senior side. Ravel Morrison was Utds and Englands future and yet he's in limbo, and I've chosen an example there who has talent rather than others which don't.
Conte signing Pogba and throwing him straight in perhaps doesn't merit huge praise but he saw something SAF clearly didn't.

Fans big up their own youngsters, it stands out more at United, especially when it's part of the club's mantra.

Fergie got rid because Pogba wanted £50,000 and Paul Scholes was keeping him out of the side. Pogba's talent was known, Fergie didn't want to seem weak and set a bad precedent in the youth set-up by giving Morrison and Pogba wages they hadn't warranted yet. Obviously in the case of Pogba he was spectacularly wrong.

And Morrison was infamous for his antics around Manchester. Everyone knew he was throwing his career away. That's why Fergie sent him down South to get away from the people he was mixing with. It didn't work.

Absolutely. If you'd told us back when we were promoted from League One, that we'd not only continue with that same back four quickly through the Championship, but all the way to PL safety - that would have seemed incredibly strange. It needed looking at 2-3 years ago never mind now.

Whilst we've dabbled in trying to improve by splurging 8m on the instantly injured Mings, or picking up Distin the Dinosaur, and we've benefited from the remarkable progression of Charlie Daniels , it's still prone to the same screw ups that it was playing against Oldham and Shrewsbury as today against Everton and West Ham.

Central defender and a ball winning central midfielder are the minimum we need this summer. The trouble is, we won't look at them unless they can play a fair bit of football as well, and that makes them rare and expensive.

Boruc has another season in him, but probably need to think long term about goalkeeper. We also have little cover at full back. And we'll buy an attacking midfielder or two, because that's just what Howe does.

Yes indeed. And each time we've jumped up a level, we think to ourselves (and are told by others) that we'll no longer be able to play like that. Yet here we are, somehow.

To be fair, you have got a little lucky that the league is so god damned shit this season. Not to take away from what you've achieved of course, as for a club your size to have done what you have is fantastic.

Totally agree that the lower end of the league (and even higher up) has been poorer than we probably expected, and we've been a touch lucky with that. We will likely need to improve next season in a few areas just to match ourselves this season.
