Can us fans not clump together and force a vote of no confidence in Harvey to oust him

Is this the same Shaun Harvey who, as CEO, stuck Leeds into administration on the last day of the season to try and get round the 10 point deduction rules, setting a dangerous precedent which the league tried to extend a couple of years later?!

A few of our players have gone to the Scottish Premier League , assuming Celtic and Rangers start at the bottom , there is no gaurantee they'll reach the Premiership any time soon

That's true Glass, but the old firm are head and shoulders above the other sides. Or at least Celtic are, as Rangers need some time to rebuild and become strong title challengers like they were before the troubles started.

What I'm saying is this - I reckon the rest of the SPL are L2/Connie standard, the old firm more like Championship/top 7 L1 standard.

And oh another thing. I don't follow Scottish footy so perhaps I'm being a bit thick here, but why is there such a big gulf in standard between the old firm and the rest of the SPL sides? AFAIK, the Scots say that football is their religion. So why do lots of clubs struggle with poor home turnouts?

Most of the population is centred around Glasgow , which is unfortunately religiously divided .....the whole country's population is the equivalent of Birmingham , Wolverhampton and Coventry ....imagine trying to get a 40 team league from that ! .....

Wasn't the Bolton chairman (Gartside?) keen on a PL2 including the Old Firm and no relegation? Interesting how the tide can turn and Bolton now find themselves outside a hypothetical PL2 spot.....

Shaun Harvey - CEO of the "EFL". Also known as (by Leeds fans) as "3 administrations Harvey", but as a 'fit and proper person' has the ability to investigate owners.

Its worrying watching Hoddle and co working on this England game talking about winter breaks and potentially the worst idea possible: splitting the Championship into two groups. Utter twaddle from Hoddle.

If it means Crawley are more likely to be relegated, I'm all for it.

Not really. I meant Grimsby as I am obsessed.

If ever two words fittingly described someone like these two do Hoddle then I'll be shocked.

Boring c***

I'm almost certain thinking about it that the Old Firm clubs would go straight into the Championship, less National League clubs into League 3.

There's a definite effort to split the Championship and Premier League away from the rest of the FL, presumably to protect relegated PL clubs.

Sadly I can assume that carlisle's view currently will be to find out just how much money the premiership is willing to pay our club to buy its yes vote.

They will then go on and claim it was for good of the game while swimming in their bath full of pound coins like scrooge mcduck.

It probably wouldn't be enough pound coins to fill a bath; a wash basin maybe.
I don't think such a thing will happen but if it did it would totally destroy the integrity of the English pyramid.

It's just a hunch, mainly based on the questions asked in that new letter, which appears to be a precursor to 'well you can have some more National League sides in the League, or we can bring in the Old Firm and make lots of £££££' in the future.

Given the move to bring them into the FL would be controversial enough, straight into Championship would be my guess, with 'travel costs' for lower league clubs being cited or some shite like that. Apologies Carlisle and co.

Been watching too much of that Scotland's Game documentary, where Celtic and Rangers are trying to break away every 5 minutes I think

Hmmm. We shall see. Such a move would have knock-on effects all the way from the top of League 1 downwards. Many many clubs would be denied promotion, which makes me think that such a move would be a non-starter. I'm not even sure that the supporters of the gruesome twosome would be in favour of a move either and I don't think that the putative benefit to English football would be so great as to sweep away all opposition to it.

My thoughts on this are the same as everybody else's I think - don't try to fix what doesn't need fixing. However, if changes are inevitable though I really hope not, then I'd rather see us play Boreham Wood and Sutton United then the Old Firm. Scottish sides have their own league, and their situation is entirely different to the Welsh clubs, who didn't have a league of their own at the time they joined the FL.

Only mentioning the Welsh sides as apparently there is a small element of fans who would welcome the Old Firm because their reasoning is we accepted the Welsh so why don't we accept the Scottish too.

Wales was not a separate political entity in the way that Scotland was back in the late 19th century. It was only natural for them to join the English system. In cricket the governing body is the Cricket Board of England and Wales.

I really hope our clubs vote against any changes they try to make. Think of the supporters for a change instead of getting a raging hard on at the disease that is the Premier League waving more cash infront of us. The only chairman I've seen who have been vocal and against this are Accrington's and AFC Wimbledon's.

If Celtic, Rangers or any other Scottish side gets into our league system then I'll fuck off and follow Sunday League.

Before you know it we'll be having a winter break at the top at least which is all well and good but these teams will just piss off to the US and China for tours.

I can't understand why they've got a constant desire to change something where there is no need for it to be changed. I'm all for making our national team better but so far nothing has been said in which will make this happen. Why not stop teams signing all the foreigners for their own youth teams?

Chelsea have won 5 of the last 7 FA Youth Cups according to someone on our messageboard and have barely handed an English kid his debut yet. Infact one has just made his 88th cap for all the national sides bar the senior team and has made 4 appearances in the Premier League. That's what's broken.
