Thought it might be of interest to collate clubs retained lists all in one spot now teams are drip feeding them out, know a few have already done them, maybe stick them in here so we can all have a gawp at who's been let go.

Crazy to be handing out new contracts at this point.
Agreeing deals with players seems fair enough but I’d be saying they don’t start until pre-season begins for the new season on whatever date that is.

Dreadful time to be an out of contract footballer. Even in the Championship there'll be players worrying about finding any club to take them on.

Not sure championship players need to worry being without a job for a few months as with the average wage about £8k a week, they should have enough in the kitty to see them through.

Rumours on our forum that Nassim L'Ghoul is leaving.
He has another year on his contract so a bit odd
Typical inconsistent winger but good enough off the bench for many teams in this league

Toure will be gone, Challinor and him clearly don't get along, Luke James is injured so I'd imagine would sign again.

Pools retained list

Contracted

Ben Killip, Ryan Donaldson, Nicky Featherstone, Gavan Holohan, Aiden Keena, Luke Molyneux, Brad Young and Gus Mafuta

Offered new deal
Luke James and Mark Kitching

Under 24 and have been offered terms of reengagement
Josh Hawkes, Kenton Richardson, Aaron Cunningham, Joe Grey

Released
Myles Anderson, Fraser Kerr, Michael Raynes, Niko Muir and Jason Kennedy, Adam Bale, Ryan Catterick, Mitch Beeney, Brooke Miller, Gime Toure

Luke Williams and Lorne Bickley invited back for pre season to try and earn a deal.

No surprises here, Myles Anderson would've been a 50/50 keep or release, but on the money.

Kenton Richardson offered new deal? Serious? He's absolute mince.

Toure I'd have kept but DC obviously can't work with him. The rest are spot on.

Challinor probably doesn't think we'll get Southam-Hales back in that case?

When Toure is on it, he's on it, but he clearly didn't want to be here after Challinor arrived, it says he wants to try and get a club in the football league, I could see it, what he lacks in work ethic he makes up for with natural ability and technique.

So are any of those worth us signing?
Sam Hird, Josh Kay and Brad Barry formed 3/5th of one of the best defences in the NL last season and you released the 1st 2 and Barry (apparently) turned down a new deal to join us....

Not really, but i'd have said the same about Kay and Barry. Hird was always going to do well at this level

Not much room for manoeuvre if they come up with 18 already signed on.

Interested to know what the end opinion was on Killip? Reports were that he was a bombscare earlier in the season but he had a stormer when you beat us at ours.

Having said that, I now remember he gifted us one in the reverse fixture.

It would often look like he'd forget to put his hands on the end of his wrists before a match, which was typified by the clanger he let in against your lot, he was up and down all season, but the best of a bad bunch of keepers we had this season, sometimes looked like a real talent, more often than not he was like a hologram in goal.

I think the problem with Killip is he wasn't used to playing for a club where fans had big expectations on them every week, rightly or wrongly, it's alright playing at Braintree in front of circa 500 every other week, different story at Pools, you drop a bollock in a match and it's amplified.

I think he'll be pushed for the number 1 shirt big time next season by Brad Young only 18 and a whopping 6ft4, rumours are he's off to Chelsea so we'll see.

They’ll come straight back down unless there is some financial disasters in league two next season, got to rip up that pitch too.

Challinor isn't a fan, if he was out of contract he'd be released.

There's a keeper in there somewhere, has good reflexes, distribution is good but his handling and decision making are catastrophic. He seemed to improve once he had a proper defence in front of him with the loanees so let's give him another chance next season. Don't think Brad Young will be around next year but it'd good to actually see these youngsters we keep flogging to top flight clubs who never get a sniff of our amazing first team.

After all the troubles this club has been in over the last 10-12 years, its reassuring to hear the general state of the club when you read that and watch the interview with the new C.E.O.
Aye.

It sounds like the tightening of EFL budgets could play to our advantage even if we reduce ours slightly due to Corana.
