Er... the only club I can think of that's even a 6 for us is Stevenage. They might merit a 5.
However, If we were to ever play Enfield (Town) again that would probably be a 2.
Wealdstone seem to dislike us but we just laugh at any notion that we 'stole' 'their' ground.

It is my personal rivalry based on the attitude of fans of those clubs in my home town.

I constantly have to field questions like;

What shirt is that?
Where are they?
What division are they in?
Who the f**k are they? etc etc

Is that alright with you ID?
Totally agree,CB.
Those type of gloryhunting fans are 22 carat arseholes.
No doubt about it.

Yeah. Nothing worse than the ones who claim to hate the team they glory hunt rivals too. My mate is an Arsenal 'fan' and always puts stuff on Facebook and Twitter about Spurs.

Great thread, would never want any club to go bust so rules 1 out.

2. Bolton, the club who many older Bury fans see as our main rival. Have experienced a few of these derbies down the years and can safely say the atmosphere has been a notch or two above any games with Dale. Haven't played regularly in the league for years after they received backing from Bury based Reebok. Have friends who support them and have mocked Bury down the years so I am enjoying watching them struggle now. Would love to play them in the league next season.

2 - York, historic rivalry dating back to 1993, always a decent crowd and atmosphere for the fixture. They hate us and we hate them, especially our older generation because of the playoff game in said year. Enjoy seeing them struggle and enjoy the fixture, I think the Lancashire Yorkshire thing adds to it. Reminds me of a lower league version of the United vs Leeds rivalry .

4/5 - Rochdale, one way rivalry but find their obsession with us is odd and irritating. We are a bigger club currently and historically and have always had bigger crowds (albeit not always on a big scale), so when we play them at home we get a bigger home attendance than normal than what they attract for the reverse fixture. In their eyes it means its our cup final, very odd logic. Likewise we take bigger away followings to spotland compared with what they bring to us, which again leads to their claim its our cup final, we also take much bigger followings to Accy Stanley than what they bring to us, doesn't mean a big fixture for us.
Do enjoy the games and they have had some spice since we both became half decent post 2007. Our recent record against them is awful.

Our main "rivals" are Wednesday and the Blades, Leeds too to a lesser extent, though it's not reciprocated much by any of them. Forest always get some stick as well because of the miners' strikes but again it's not really reciprocated.

Other than that we don't really give a toss about anyone else and no-one else gives a toss about us. We get on alright with the other local clubs.

Port Vale's main rivals,Norton United, recently went belly up which leaves them at a bit of a loose end although they like to think us and Stoke are interested.

-5 Mansfield - your description seems far too tame. Sheffield fans and others can "mingle" - we cant and if we do we'll either do so drink a few pints with them and it end up in a fight or never admit it and feel like you've cheated on your misses for even talking to one of the bastards

none of you have a fucking clue.
