Well, be interesting to see what our genius manager does for this game. More incredible decisions like playing centre mids out wide I'd imagine. I'd drop Bingham, move Jones inside and start Inman on the wing. But then I'm an old fashioned guy who thinks its a good idea to play every player in a position that is comfortable to them. Silly me.

As for Dale, they embarrassed us 3 times last season, winning 5-2, 3-0(JPT) and 4-0. Fully expect Keith Hill to have Davis' pants down yet again here. They've actually done ok at home this season, won 6 of their 11 games at Spotland. Henderson hasn't quite got going, but he loves a goal against us, so back on him to score in this one.

Yeah, given our manager's ineptness, our terrible boxing day record and Rochdale's decent form, I'm fully expecting an easy home win. 3-0 Dale. Henderson, Vincenti and Andrew scoring.

Can see us getting atleast a point here.
P.s.Can somebody let the people of Rochdale know that there's a professional football club in their town?

Shame there isn't currently one in Crewe.

3-0 defeat and all the melts on that Chronicle page will say Davis will be successful if we gave him money (when he'd be Steve Holland II) and it's all Norman Hassall's fault that we're in this mess. People are so deluded if they genuinely think all this mess is down to one man's reluctance to loosen the purse strings. This mess is a collective and monumental failure.

Shame the players are non-competitors mentally bar Lowe, Nugent, Guthrie, Jones and Garratt. Inman and Colclough are consistently inconsistent and not the Championship quality players some Crewe fans toot their horn about. Shame our manager plays the same predictably shite tactics each week and gets rid of our best outfield player last season. Shame we've only won 28% of our games last three years but that's "better than expected" in some of our fans eyes. Shame we have a minority of fans who fail to realise that every time we win it's shaky, narrow and far from comfortable. Shame we have a vast minority of fans who feel Davis is blameless when he can't develop Academy players for shit.

No person (Dario apart) should be bigger than this football club. Davis isn't Dario II, the reluctance of some of our fans to let go of him is absolutely embarrassing. How can we be positive about someone who is specialising in mediocrity, failure and talking bullshit to the media?

Can see us getting battered for 80 mins and an inspired substitution from Davis (?!) will change the game..... Thank you please.

Basically this. Comprehensive win for Rochdale.

Steve Davis will continue to get away with murder though. Not sure if it's total apathy (gates dropping at a fairly consistent rate), fans blind to it (cos we beat someone a few weeks ago didn't we?) or shitty local rags actually swaying opinion with biased reporting (What elephant?, asks Morse). Even Dario came under more pressure than this. It's just weird.

We are distinctly average. There's nothing to say you can't get result here (Although I haven't seen you play)

We are average yes, but results wise we are above average on home soil it would seem. We should be looking for 3 points in this one though.

You know what I find concerning.

Rochdale have been in League Two for all but 4 seasons since 1974 and some of their fans are being pissed off with being only mid-table in League One.

We've been above League Two for all but 3 seasons since 1994 and some of our fans are accepting we're a League Two club punching above our weight in League One despite the quality of our facilities, the supposed quality of our Category Two Academy and have experienced the Championship unlike Rochdale and some of our fans genuinely believe the rhetoric that we're overachieving. It's as if half our support are fans who've only supported us since Davis got us promoted in 2012 hence why they're so attached to him.

Timey is spot on, Dario used to get lots of stick when we were mid-table in League One and towards the end of his second spell, if we weren't in the Top 7 in League Two fans would go ballistic and demand change. They even demanded him to be sacked in that Torquay game and they got their wish when he stepped down. Yet Davis, bar a few shouts at Blackpool and at the Eastleigh game this season has got away with blue murder. I genuinely haven't a clue why as well.

And if we go down and are in this position next season, the same melts will happy clap and tell us to be positive about finishing 22nd in League Two and Davis will still remain in charge playing excuse after excuse.

This sounds eerily similar to the situation we're in, substituting a couple of things. We've spent 32 seasons out of 106 below the second tier, only 5 since 1980, yet some of the happy clappers on our forums seem to think we just need to buckle down and stick with a manager whose led us to the bottom of league one purely on the basis that we've sacked too many in the past.
Failing to realise, of course, that continuing to back the wrong horse (which Johnson blatantly is) would leave us worse off than getting rid and trying again. We lost 8 games in a row this season in the fcuking third division, one loss away from the worst run of results we've EVER had, yet this is fine in some supporters eyes. We've a Cat 2 academy as well, yet our promising youngsters get left out of the squad. Both clubs should be aspiring to better things than bottom of League One.
Reminds me of this:

Oh yeh,the notorious Spotland pitch.
Been the same for decades.
We played there once in the late 70's and the ref lost his watch in the mud and had to guess when to blow for time.

It's no longer notorious for postponements thanks. The river roach burst its banks this morning due to large amounts of rainfall. Nothing could be done to prevent this one.

Uneducated buffoon or poor wind up attempt.

The floods throughout the area left 12000 homes (including the stadium)without power and its the first time in living memory that the town centre has been under water.

Our pitch has had rave reviews from all the teams who have visited us this season.

Still..... you keep living in the past eh?
