Super Calvin Andrew scores when he wants.

No thread because nobody made one :bg:. Vale came to frustrate, time waste & spoil. The last minute winner was justice for the horrid tactics. You would think with them being dragged into the dogfight they would go for the win?

The highlight of his Mansfield career (and their season) was their 0-1 over us last season. Our paths diverged then :D

When Calvin scores it's time to give up. Page played a weakened side and should be sacked. Apparently Dale were there for the taking but we decided to park the bus. Sooner Page goes the better but can't see us staying up now.

Fucking obvious it would be that donkey that scored. Unbelievable.

Page needs to go whether we stay up or not. Absolute clown.

Our game was hindered by the Vale tactics, if you had come to try and win I would have fancied us to win by more. Justice was done in the end, a team that came to do precisely nothing got exactly that.

Dale were down to absolute bare bones today.

The bench included a youth player and a coach who retired 3 years ago.

We had 2 left backs on the pitch but decided to play a right back at left back. While that may seem illogical, it was because we only had 1 CH so Kennedy slotted in there, and Michael Rose has been ace as a defensive midfielder of late.

A few years ago, some Vale fans moaned that under Coleman we were the dirtiest cheating team to visit their ground ever.

I won't make such a claim today, but some of their antics were bordering on pathetic today. Dodds staying down holding his knee, then rolling down his sock to show the ref his shin started it, Marshall diving carried it on, Brown constantly in the refs face perpetuated it and the number 6 (can't even be bothered to look for his name) going loco because he had fouled and been caught rounded it off. Well it did for the first half.

You can tell when a team is struggling and Vale played like one today. Pope looked a shadow of himself, Marshall looked good when not complaining, Pope's replacement looked ok too.

Good luck in the run in Valiants, no doubt see you all next season, today won't have changed either of our likely fates.

Possibly we will never know, it worked a treat at Vale Park against you so assume that's why Page did it, although why with that XI il never know.

No chance will we stay up. Need 2 wins from 5 with two games being against MK and PNE, confidence in pieces and a manager who has lost the plot.

Fucking Calvin Andrew

He's dreadful which says it all about our defence this season, scored once in our league two promotion season when as a team we were top scorers in the country... And that was a Doug Loft shot that deflected past the keeper of his arse! Soon as I saw he had come on you just knew what was going to happen!

He's not dreadful for us, don't care how dreadful he's been elsewhere. He's never going to bag 20 a season but he's a grafter and holds the ball up very well. His goals to minutes on the pitch ratio this season will be one of the best in the league, he never starts and has been injured for a good while.

We were dire and Dale were dire, difference was we played for a draw and Dale wanted it more. Dale even took a defender off in the last ten mins and brought on a striker. Just knew Andrew would score. PAGE OUT

The sub was actually to counter your move of Marshall from LW to RW.

We had a RB playing at LB all game. The sub off was our LB, the RB went to his normal position and Michael Rose reverted to his LB position from midfield.

The other two subs were winger for winger and midfielder for Calvin.

I think i'd prefer Calvin fucking Andrew to Ben fucking Williamson.

It's not like we've signed a striker of French nationality who knows where the net is though so Ben has to play! Page Out!

Today sums up the problem we have under Page, dropping our best player in O'Connor, having dropped Pope on Friday because he "isn't right at the moment" he then starts today and the only real positive for, Friday being the new loanee Coulibaly doesn't play a minute today! He also persists with Willo, Birchall and Dickinson dispite poor performances. I don't get why he just doesn't simply pick our best 11 and see how that works out! I'd sack Page tomorrow and give Michael Brown the job for the last five games.

Andrew is absolutely hideous despite what Rochdale fans may say. As for us we are as good as down, i have posted for months that Page is a negative twat and can,t do with the bloke. One up front at home to shit like Crewe and Colchester then yesterdays tactics playing for a bore draw against mighty Rochdale who had in fact lost 7 at home so hardly a fortress. The interview on Radio Stoke was cringeworthy, O'Connor can,t play twice in 4 days as he can,t get through the games that is why he was dropped? Funny how he has played saturday / Tuesday 8 times this season and all of the Christmas and New year games. You are a lying bastard Page the same as you lied about Pope on Friday. Something is obviously going on behind the scenes as O'Connor Neal and Marshall are the only 3 players who have played consistently well. Yes man Grew then comes out and says' O'Sullivan was picked after his 2 goals for Wales v Belgium. Really ? if that is the case why was it 10 days later that he was picked and not for the Colchester game?. Wank, we are down and MK Dons willpiss all over us on saturday, then to rub further salt into the wounds that horrible nasty cnut Garner is bound to get a few when PNE knob us.

Vale fans and many others will only judge on his time with them, Calvin has been great for us, with a very limited amount of game time.

Calvin Andrew was the worst striker in the world until he came to us
Ashley Eastham was the worst defender in the world until he cam to us
Tom Kennedy was not even good enough for Blackpool and Bury FC this season until he returned back to us

Historically we can do Lambert is too slow and fat yet played for England in a World Cup in Brazil, Chris O'Grady cannot score (20+ goals in our first promotion) yadda yadda yadda, blah blah blah.

Keith Hill was indeed high in his interview, he said it himself. High on football, as cruddy Calvin's 95th minute winner was a natural high.

Must admit, I went a bit ape-pooh too.

Somehow Chesterfield and Rochdale are still in the hunt despite losing their star striker in January. Probably says more about the management and whole teams than the importance of said star strikers.
