Rochdale have taken a big hit in recent weeks, struggling to score goals and on a run with poor results and low confidence. They do however, come up against a Colchester side that look to have talented outfield players but a defence that just cannot keep the ball out of the net numerous times of 90 minutes. Surely this is the chance for Dale to get the scoring boots on? It's also a big chance for Colchester to pick some points up with the attacking players they have.

Mate seems to think there will be a 'Hill out' banner unveiled :brill:

Was going to say - surely not! He's doing a great job at Dale, even if you are currently struggling.
He's pretty much unsackable... But his current decision making and comments in interviews are grating on a lot of fans. He seems to blatantly leave out some of our better players and play ones that aren't really that good in comparison for example. And the comments being made are odd too and annoying: the one about the Bury FA cup game being a 'free hit' made a lot of our fans angry, a team like us should do all we can to make the third round and potentially get a 'big tie' to help us out financially. The performance against Bury was a shambles, shows he wasn't that fussed for a cup run this season then. The loan signing of O'Sullivan was a strange one too, we have a lot of half decent players for his position. We need a striker badly, we don't have an out and out striker. Last season we had Henderson over achieving really. He isn't a striker. So far O'Sullivan has been subbed after 38 mins at home to Vale because he was going to get sent off. He did nothing against Bury, and last week he was sent off after 12 mins at Swindon. He's been annoying to say the least, and he's keeping our own players out of the team.

And the quest for some sort of defensive credibility goes on for another week. Same old.

Up to 55 goals conceded in just shy of 22 games, set for a seventh successive league defeat - it's pathetic.

Wins a win. Colchester looked alright going forward but missed a couple of sitters. We didn't play well at all. Shows how bad Colchesters current defensive problem is though.
