Words can't describe how bad we are.
I'm done with this club.
Robinson out.
But, before that, Corney out.
ProbablyIs this the year that Oldham lose their WABLO status?
Not so sure.Probably
Compare it to Suarez getting 10 matches for a third biting incident. Barton got 12 matches for two separate incidents. Whatever Calvin has done 12 matches is ludicrous.Unusually long ban for it so must have been very serious to get 12 game ban!
I just think 12 in comparison to other similar acts of violence is excessive. If they were all treated the same I wouldn't have an issue but the fact the rulings within the FA are so radically inconsistent is my main gripe. What Calvin did is shocking, there's no denying that. It is however completely out of character, for a player who's never even had a red card in his entire career. He's usually one of the calmest players on the pitch. Something must have provoked him into this one. All I'm saying is if it was a big name player I doubt the punishments would be equal. Barton performed two acts of violence which also resulted in a 12 match ban. Barton is a player who's known for his violent shenanigans. If like I said before this is the precedent for future punishments and they are more heavily punished then so be it, because there's no place in football for these kind of acts. Not sure how any Rochdale fans can complain at the length of the ban, he's lucky he's not being locked up
Suarez is a serial offender though, he's bitten what, 3 people now? Like I've said I'm definitely not condoning CA's actions, the real test will be next time something similar to this happens. If it's a similar punishment then great but I genuinely do believe the same incident for someone such as Rooney (as I said above) would warrant smaller punishment from the FA. A player with an otherwise exemplary record of discipline has made one disgraceful mistake. There's no way he's done this without some sort of provocation. I wonder if that will ever come out though. If he's not been provoked then an explanation of why he behaved as he did would be nice, well either way it would be nice to know why.Suarez mildly irritating someone's skin with a bite and getting 10 games for it is worse than Andrews going out to twat someone as hard as possible in the head though, so I don't agree with the 'big name' argument. I agree that the FA is massively inconsistent with their rulings and they probably have no idea what they're doing.
This went completely unpunished

So this elbow is arguably not as bad, but like Calvins it's off the ball and very much intentional. No charge whatsoever from the FA. This is where I'm coming from when I go on about big names getting away with it.
You can say that again, not even a yellow and he's seen the incident. It would have been better for us if Calvins had have been seen then by all accounts he'd have his first ever red card and a 3 match ban, which for what he did is nowhere near enough! The FA should be able to overrule a referee when it's as blatant as the Rooney incident.Battenburg being a shit ref.
