Still un-decided as to whether I'm going to go to this one - never been to Rotherham's new stadium, but with Huddersfield the week after I'm not entirely sure I'll fancy being in Yorkshire twice in the space of a couple of weeks.

Anyway, as for the game, I think we'll win this. Probably the kiss of death as the few other occasions I've hinted at us winning this season we've got battered, but I genuinely think we have more than enough to get all three points up there.

I'd love a change of formation, not because the 3-5-2 isn't working, but just because I think the players we have within the squad could be accomadated into a 4-2-3-1 with our best 11 out their in their natural positions rather than the unorthodox 3-5-2.

Seeing as it will be 3-5-2, I'd go unchanged. I wouldn't mind seeing Bobby Reid coming in for Pack at home (not that Pack has done owt wrong, just think Bobby Reid offers more in terms of going forward) but away from home I think Pack provides more stability in the middle alongside Korey Smith.

I'd also like to see Moore given a go soon, he's a quality defender but he can't get Ayling out of the side. Hopefully he'll get his chance, but his loan deal doesn't have that long left.

0-2, with 1,084 away fans.

If Reid comes in it should be for Freeman, Pack and Smith is a decent CM combo at this level.

Have to agree, hope it happens here as well. Freeman's really lacking in confidence atm, to his credit he doesn't hide, he's still always showing for the ball but he's almost trying too hard, to do too much with it. Which just results in him losing the ball and slowing down everything that goes through him.

Also, he's clearly bulked up over the summer and I actually think that's worked to the detriment of what was so good about him. Last season he had an extra pace and sharpness about him, I know he's up against superior opposition now but last year once he got on the half turn he was away and on the defence, whereas now it's almost as if he's running through treacle.

He's shown flashes of the ability there: he was very good at Brighton and had a pretty decent game at Ipswich, but I think he could do with a bit of time out. And Reid has also looked good when given an opportunity, he definitely deserves a chance.

As for the game, going into a little period now (Rotherham (A), Blackburn (H), Huddersfield (A) ) where we could really put some breathing space between us and the relegation zone. Do think we've got enough about us to be well clear of safety, and there's a fair few teams we're better than - now's the time to show it!

We've tightened up at the back big time recently, and whenever I've seen Rotherham on highlights or the odd game on Sky their defence has looked an absolute shambles. Bet Kodjia's relishing this one.

Fuck it, don't care if it's a bit billy big bollocks... 4-1 City, Kodjia hat-trick. Good feeling about this one

Scrappy home win which will spark a mini riot between the Bristolian hoardes on here.

Where did all those noisy Rotherham fans go? There used to be loads in here when they were massive.

There was one utter moron who gobbed off all summer about how the three promoted sides were going straight back down and Rotherham were finishing mid table.... He hasn't been on here since their opening day 1-4 defeat at home to MK Dons.

This could be interesting with both teams, both managers and both sets of fans convinced this is a 'must win' game.

So I predict both teams will have 20-something shots, 3 on target and 0-0 final score.

We don't need a defeat to cause a mini riot Walkley! Any old shit will usually spark one off and we haven't had one for seemingly ages. :box:
On the match, we have one player supposedly struggling and the consensus on THAT forum is it might be the mighty Kodj! Without wishing to state the obvious, that's not good news for us if it's true.

Going, but not particularly looking forward to it..

Have a bad feeling Walkleys prediction of narrow home win will be correct. A win would be huge for us though, and anything less would be a bit disappointing.

Where did all those noisy Rotherham fans go? There used to be loads in here when they were massive.

We've not all disappeared Herts but it has been difficult to be positive this season and I don't particularly like to be on moaning and groaning.
Therefore I tend to think it's best to sit quiet and hope for an upturn in fortunes.
In spite of all the bad results, we have played some decent stuff at times but not enough to get the results against the top 10.

Last week at Leeds was the first time we have played another team near us for weeks.
The performance was gritty rather than outstanding but it did give us a little hope for the future.

NR is re-shaping the squad to suit his style of play and it will take a little time to get things right.
But he has off-loaded the players who weren't up for a fight and brought in his own men on loan.
Greg Halford and Maguire and Bowery have been hugely dissapointing on the pitch and there are rumours of them being disruptive in the dressing room. If so he has done right in shipping them out.

It's too early to predict how it will all work out, but he deserves the chance to try out his own methods.

TBF some of the displays with NR in charge, Ipswich first half in particular, have been woeful and confidence in the team and in the stands was dropping like a stone.
But it's amazing what a win can do for morale.

Of course I am hoping that we can get another 3 points, but a draw on Saturday wouldn't be the end of the world as it would still keep Bristol C in touching distance.

I know it sounds daft, but we will miss Leon Best he was a real handful at Leeds and we haven't another player of his ilk to replace him.
He seemed to be really up for the fight ...........and eventually too much up for the fight as it turned out.

We can only hope NR can turn it around and give us a fighting chance of staying in this league.

Worryingly optimistic about this one.

Hopefully Freeman can have the good performance he needs to kick-start his season.

I hate to be that guy but I can see a Rotherham 1-0 win and an OTIB meltdown coming a mile off.

Mate's bailed on me at the last minute so I'm stuck on my lonesome heading up to Rov'rum. What pubs people headed? Heard that Bridge Inn by the station's supposed to be decent for away fans.

Why do I always convince myself we're not as shit as we actually are.

Lost faith in the club after letting JET go and the transfer window that followed.

We're not STILL talking about JET are we?
He's gone, maybe he decided to go back to London. Let's support the players that are still at the club rather than banging on about a player that may have chosen to leave FFS!

Easy decision because the clueless muppets decided not to even offer him a contract. It would have been alright if there was a backup plan, but the backup plan was to let everyone go and bring in one ******* player. But at least we have a shiny new stadium, I hope we impress the Fleetwood and Burton fans next year.

We don't know what happened Jordan. Bear in mind he was free to talk to other clubs from January and may well have already sorted himself a deal at QPR. With all respect, you are accusing the club of 'letting him go' without any proof. Personally, I think he or his agent had already sorted the deal in West London way before the end of the season but, like you, that's pure conjecture. Let's concentrate on the team we do have rather than the players we don't please.
He's nothing to do with city anymore so I don't really know why his name is constantly mentioned when we do NOT know what happened. Shall we talk about David Seal and Paul Agostino as well?
