I was surprised we took McLean off at half time because even though he hadn't done a great deal in the first half, he offered more of a goal threat than Gash. Gash works hard and is a real team player but I remain to be convinced he will offer very much at this level.
On reflection, 3 points from games against Orient, Wycombe, Northampton and Bristol Rovers is certainly not disastrous. All four of those sides will probably be challenging towards the top end this season. We had a few chances to have possibly picked up more points but I would suggest it will be games against some of the lesser sides where our real opportunity to put points on the board will come.
