Congratulations Rovers.

Chuffed for you, have always had a soft spot for the Gas after meeting a couple of decent blokes abroad once and have been to a few games. Pleased we get to have another away day in Bristol too.

Fucking hell Rovers you left that late!
My battery died on my phone at quarter to 5 at a play centre with the kids and i thought you'd bottled it now just got home and seen the score, delighted for you well done. :gr:

Fantastic achievement for Bristol, I would never have thought they would go up automatically at the start of the season.
Interested to hear how different your squad is to last season.

Well where do I begin? Just wow. I've never experience automatic promotion before, only the 2 play off final wins recently. I always thought that doing it through the play offs must be better, but today? Well, holy ****, that was un-f*cking-believable.

For what it's worth, daggers looked like a very good team. They gave their all and did everything they could to stop us. Their keeper must be in the running for the euros too on that performance, he had the game of his life. In fact, if it wasn't for this being win or bust, if daggers played like this in a normal game, they would have surprised us and won in my opinion.

On to the game itself, how many chances did we miss?! Jesus it was unreal. All I could think was it felt like Mansfield on the final day a few years ago, where a goal would do it but we just couldn't finish. I even almost wanted accy to score, because I couldn't deal with the idea of us not going up because we slipped up, not the other team.

Honestly, when Taylor missed his chance before the goal, I couldn't believe it. Then he pops up and hits the post and Lee Brown, who at the time I had no idea who scored, taps it in and I went friggin mental. I don't think I've ever gone that mad before.

Honestly, I was straight on that pitch as soon as the Accy result was confirmed. What an amazing day, what a feeling! Totally worth coming back for this! Words cannot explain this sense and many thanks all for the congratulations, it means a lot. I have some cracking videos on my phone and memories that will last a life time.

Back to back promotions, Unreal. To think 2 years ago we were relegated to the conference for the first time in our history. And now, my own club is back in league 1 after a double promotion.

Good luck next season daggers, with performances like that, it's only a matter of time until you're back. And commiserations Accy, whatever the result of the playoffs, what an achievement for your club this season. Fingers crossed you join us in league 1 next year. You certainly deserve it!

Gassy you've summed it all up.

What a day, what a result. Never do things the easy way do we? Feels like rectification for Mansfield a couple of years ago. I still can't really believe it.

Just seen the highlights on the Sky Sports site, how many chances did Rovers want? Should have had double figures.

My mate got a season ticket at Rovers two years ago for the first time, and in his two years he's seen you go go up via penalties at Wembley and then with a dramatic 92nd minute goal infront of your home fans having gone into the day not expecting to go up.

I text him telling him to savour the moments, you've literally got promoted in the best way twice in two years. I can only imagine what it would have been like at The Mem when that goal went in.

It's no hidden secret I hate you bastards - but I've got to say congratulations on what you've done under Darrell over the last two years. Complete turnaround. The rivalry isn't dead boys, far, far from it.

Have a good night.

It was pretty ridiculous, 35 shots. Sitters, woodwork hit, amazing we put one in :bg:

To be fair though JJ, it isn't all good luck. Unlucky to go down on 50pts given historical points needed, unlucky to not win the Conf title with the points total we had. 85pts wins us the title last year in this league. I think we deserved that today.

Those highlights were ridiculous, some great last-ditch defending by Daggers there.

They're a good side, forgot to mention they caused real problems today.

Fancy them to challenge in the Conference next year under Still.

Oh no - absolutely not, and I'd be a fool to suggest that, I was referring to the ways you went up as in a penalty shootout and a 92nd minute winner at home. Fantastic ways to do it.

A lot of stress though! Hasn't sunk in yet to be honest. Hopefully will over the next few days!

Nothing will EVER 'rectify' that day, utterly hilarious (as a red). ;)
I was down Wetherspoons in Hanham tonight and had to listen to your lot crowing. I did tell them the words to the 2nd and 3rd verses of Irene but genuinely heard a couple of Gasheads saying ' we are the new Man City'! With all respect lads, congrats, but you have just finished 3rd in division 4.
We all had a good laugh regardless.
Well done chaps. We have set the target for L1, just the 99 points to beat which should be easy for 'the new Man City'.

It's rectified for me after today, whether our red friends want to keep the memory is their choice - I don't blame them for wanting to.

Meh, people get carried away as people do! You should know that ;) We're not taking the approach of 'waste all the money!', we're building sustainably - that has to start with the stadium. The fans have done their job over the last six weeks or so, the staff and players even longer than that. Now the next few months are about the owner and chairman showing their credentials, let's see if the potential this club has can be realised. The short term financial future of the club is secured, now its about building for the long term.

Its stunning to do what we've done over the last two years, a huge achievement given the scale of the challenge. For me, its about enjoying next year and showing we've got enough to compete. The ambition of the players and manager suggests to me they won't settle for that.

Far too level headed GH, especially for this time of night after you've just sealed a double promotion.
Well done fella, as much as I hate to say it, congratulations.
By the way, we will NEVER forget that memory as you would never expect us to.

Gassy totally summed it up for me. I could not believe how taylor missed that shot as I was jumping around thinking he'd scored. Well the 92nd minute -- What can you say!!!

Went into the suite over the main stand to celebrate with DC & the players then off to Glouester road which was shortly closed to traffic by the police .Arrived home about 1 in the morning and still buzzing.

My third automatic promotion -- but certainly the most celebrated.

A really good day. Rovers fans are being a little kind about us though, should have ended about 19-1

Crazy game. Could and should have won it comfortably but then when we were leaving 2 defenders back throwing everything at Daggers they could have nicked it themselves. Think we lead the league for most goals scored in the last 15 minutes and that's no suprise, but I had to say after Matty Taylor missed his guilt edged chance I thought the game was up.
