After last year's Premier League 'B' team idea, according to today's NLP Greg Dyke now wants the FA to cut the prize money for winning the FA Trophy and FA Vase by 15% to put more money into grass roots football. This after the Premiership has agreed £5billion TV deals. Why not reduce the FA Cup winner's money, to the clubs that win that, it is mere pin money, but FA Trophy & Vase monies can mean make or break for the non-league clubs.

ALSO

BT apparently aren't paying a penny to televise the FA Trophy and Play Off final.

With the games being on TV clubs will lose money from people saying their time just staying at home to watch. TV money would help make up that gap

I would happily accept a reduced prize money for the Trophy if they downgraded it a one game midweek competition.

What do you expect from Greg Fucking Dyke? He is a total asswipe. Poor moves would just make the Trophy even less important and make it a real full blown farce and would ruin the Vase for many clubs

Absolutely disgusting, unlike those premier league sides under the £5bn umbrella, the cup winning money, the clubs going in the FAT and FAV need the money, as Dan points out, it can make or break non league sides.
The rich get richer, as for Greg fucking Dyke, fuck him, arse hole. Got absolutely no time for him or the FA.

He's such a bawbag. Serious arsepiece. Can't put an argument forth because it's so obvious, so I'll just say the man's a bellend.

No longer surprised by all the awful ideas Dyke and the FA keep coming up with. Would love the Premier League to fall apart but can't see it ever happening.

The same Greg Dyke who was a key part in forming the Premier League.
The same Greg Dyke who proposed a contraction of the number of Football League clubs at the time of the ITV Digital crisis.
The same Greg Dyke who proposed League Three.
The same Greg Dyke who formed the unfit for purpose FA Commission.
The same Greg Dyke who is so intent on appeasing the Premier League in his quest to take England back to greatness (so pie in the sky that idea) that he wishes to heap misery on lower league clubs and now non-league clubs.

The man is an absolute scrote, him and Scudamore allegedly support Brentford and Bristol City respectively and ironically they couldn't give a shit about the lower leagues. Can't wait for Dyke to be hounded out of office but that day seems very far away.

This doesn't make any sense, 15% of the prize money isn't going to amount to much.

Scudamore, who says he's not embarrassed and doesn;t give a toss that every Premier League player will be a millionaire while clubs non football staff are paid minimum wages.
Scudamore, who thinks the Premier League era is football's "Golden Age".
Scudamore, who still hankers after his "39th game" being brought to fruition.

If someone doesn't rescue English football from these 2 twats, it is screwed.

All they have to do is double the amount of money they delivery to grass roots football simple.

Even if they doubled what they provided now (they don't even provide 1% to grass roots football) then it would make a big, big difference and rightfully so - there is always talk about how they are going to do this and that and they never do it - there should be motions in place by the government to be looking into this.

It isn't simply a case of ripping off non-league football, they are doing it to leagues 1 and 2 as well - wanting to introduce B sides into the JPT for premier league sides.

It's short-sighted and ill-conceived

The FA claim that around 80% of pitches are council owned so therefore don't come under the remit of the FA - as if people are going to fall for that - a local council - funding threatened or reduced to this austerity is really going to say no to free money coming in to improve facilities? daft twats.
