I think Dennis Lawrence will get the job at our place.

The club tweeting that Barrow wants to stay indicates he will be staying as assistant and the new guy will be working with him.

Lawrence would fit in with the same philosophy we employed when appointing Ricketts and Keates. Given how far we've come in the last couple of years it would be daft to deviate from that at the moment. He's a bit like a combo of Ricketts and Keates in many ways, but with better credentials. Far more experienced than Ricketts coaching at a higher level, far more of a playing legend than Keates, and taller than the both of them (combined ).

That's all well and good but I think you should already consider who Lawrence's replacement will be when he ultimately leaves you for... (checks his Wikipedia)... Swansea in 6 months time.

We operate on a rotational basis. So after Dennis Lawrence, we can give another former Welsh player a six month stint.

If that's the case, I expect Vinnie Jones to be confirmed in the Wrexham hotseat by May at the latest.

Sounds like we've actually made an approach for Lee Bradbury, see how this plays out.

Bizarre one that!?
A manager that got H&W relegated, then promoted twice, now sitting in the bottom 4 at this level & quite likely to be relegated again.
What are the Pools thinking they are seeing in LB, that no one else does?
I think hes only ever played and worked in the South aswell (apart from 1 season at Maine Road over 20 years ago) , so not sure hes going to want to give up his cushy southern life to move oop north.

It's part of our CURSE doctrine that we are required to appoint managers who specialise in failure

But we'll give him a chance to fail first. Then we'll have to sack him in a few months as per the terms and conditions of CURSEDNESSIVITY

I'm with you on that, seems like a very strange one and wouldn't be my fist choice.

Expectations here are high and managers don't get long if their team aren't performing to the fan's standards, it'd be a gamble for us and him, if he wants to push on further as a manager he's got a greater chance of doing it with us than Havant but we can't afford to have another manager crash and burn.

I thought he's be a good choice.2 promotions with a lower league team with no money,if he would relocate.
But you've but some doubt in my mind & you've got a better idea of what he's like than us up here.

If it’s any consolation, his Havant side are the only team to come to Orient this season and keep playing football no matter what. No time wasting, no rugby tactics, no surrounding the ref; no shithousery whatsoever. Definitely a man with a corinthian philosophy.

Of course we did win 4-0 for the easiest three points we’ve had all season, meaning that he’s as stupid as he is principled, so there’s that slight snag.

On the other hand, they came to Barrow on the opening day, lost 3-0 (could've been 8) and Bradbury tried to make out they were the better side and were robbed. Seems like a delusional prick.

Gary Brabin is definitely one of the 7 guests viewing this thread at the moment.

For what it's worth Bradbury somehow managed to get Havant relegated from the National South when they had a top 5 budget.

Bradbury was manager down here for about 18 months or so. Did well as a firefighting manager forced to chuck youngsters in and hope for the best. He actually got worse when given a budget though. Whilst he could spot a player, players who would later turn out to be good, he couldn't get them to click himself. Preferred attack minded football generally speaking. Would seem a big change for him to up sticks from Hampshire. Good luck to him if he gets the gig.

He'll fit in well here then, we're especially talented at that.

Well our budget seems largely maxed out, we're trying to move high earning no marks out, although our owner has said money's available for the right players, including paying fees.

Preferred attack minded football generally speaking. Good luck to him if he gets the gig.

Think that's what we're crying out for after the turgid rubbish of the last god knows how many seasons.

So likes attacking football, but probably can't get his teams to defend, signs high rep players but can't get them to play well. Perfect fit for the curse FC. Welcome to the club, Lee.

Our assistant Graham Barrow has today signed a 2.5 year contract, so assume we have someone lined up... points towards us looking for another young coach again.

If Wrexham or Hartlepool had just acted a bit sooner they could’ve had the self proclaimed greatest mind in football at their club, instead Macclesfield are the lucky ones who get to hear him speak about how he was one of the best players in the world in his first interview, which should prove invaluable to Macc in their League 2 relegation battle.

Think Hartlepool should go for Steve Watson as much as that stinks for Gateshead and I would feel bad for them, because he has done an amazing job there in my opinion. Huge respect to him and Gateshead. But it would cost to buy him out.

Wrexham need to go for someone closer to home who will show some loyalty to the club. Bit like what Edinburgh has done for us. A londoner, played down the road at Spurs, but has an affinity to club it seems, like alot of londoners, even dismissed Wimbledon job immediately despite a former club. Wrexham definitely need that sort of person if they are ever going to sustain and push for success. I feel bad for them what has happened, twice inside 12 months is shocking.

Our mob have their heart set on Bradbury, both parties have confirmed they've held talks, Bradbury flew up here Tuesday for an interview, it's his to turn down now I feel, I hope he takes it cos I got a horrible feeling that Geordie rat Lee Clark might be next in line.

Is that Lee Clark who won promotion from L1 winning title and managed in the championship for a fair amount of time? Why wouldn't you want him? Pretty experienced even if he is a massive twat.
