I hope north wales police/wrexham fc are sued for the assault on one of our fans who was standing in a queue though!
Following on from this, someone in work turned up with a couple of bruises on his face. He'd been lumped in with the Tranmere lot outside the station by police and took a beating for his troubles. Poor lad.

That's the 2nd story I've heard about Tranmere 'fans' attacking our lot. Police had a nightmare it seems.

There was mention on one of the Rovers forums of a Wrexham teenager being hit at the station too. There’s no hiding that we have some thugs in our ranks and this ‘derby’ brings out the worst element.

Thought the stewards at the ground were fine and in my experience the police were ok, save the routing of fans back to the station after the game.

Just watched a full 10 mins worth of Mellon complaining about the referee. There were wrong decisions on both sides so he just needs to wind his neck in and admit that a draw was a fair result.

Your choice to view it, what were you expecting him to say? I haven’t sought out Dean Keates’ view of the game. Having seen the penalty decision again, it looks as puzzling as it did in real time.

It came up on Youtube as I was watching Keates' interview. The penalty wasn't that puzzling, your guy had Pearson in a headlock. It was only a surprise because at this level you see things happening like that at nearly every corner.

It was not a penalty. There was leaning from both players, but Sutton got his body in front of Pearson and won the ball.

You missed the headlock then?

We could have told you he was shit
We already knew that. Some of our fans were enamoured with him because he scored a few goals on loan when nobody else was, but he still wasn't very good. I couldn't believe it when we re-signed him over the summer.

It was 100% a penalty, I was sat directly in line with it. The highlights don't do it justice because of the angle. Sutton had Pearson in a headlock right in front of the ref.

Said at the time and 100% convinced now that if that was a penalty we should have had 2. The only player from your side that appealed was Pearson, wasn't even a sound from your fans or commentator. Says it all.

£1m budget he has been given this season and has completely ballsed it up. If you had seen us play the last 4 months you would not be saying it is ludicrous. We should be comfortably top 5 with that budget instead we are getting beat comfortably by part time teams like Solihull.

You’ve had four games against the worst Orient side in history and not scored a single goal, so to be honest you should probably skip sacking Still and simply fold the club(s).

What headlock ? There was grappling from both players but nothing that merited a penalty award.

There is some footage of the penalty incident on twitter, including a slow motion incident and it’s quite clear that once the ball is in play from the corner, there is no more than grappling for the ball as RLC describes. For a big lad Pearson goes to ground very easily...

As for Rovers penalty shouts, can remember Cook being held/pulled back very early in the game, which looked more of a penalty than the one awarded to the home team. Don’t recall the other penalty claim we had?

Just seen the extended highlights. Confirmed that the free kick for your 2nd goal was the result of a dive. McNulty also should've already been on a yellow when he got booked. At the start of the second half, he commits a foul almost identical to the one that saw Holroyd given a yellow.

Whether or not you should have had a penalty remains to be seen as these incidents have been left out of the highlights, but there was a foul on Pearson for the penalty. Your lad has his arms round Pearson's neck, whether he goes down or not, it's still a foul. Can you blame Pearson for going down 'easily' in that circumstance? The highlights cleared up that there wasn't a foul on Holroyd for a penalty shout in the second half mind. He just slips.

Makes the decision an even better one from the ref. A broken clock's right twice a day.

Had a peek at your forum and some of the posts on there are hilarious. Saying that there's a big conspiracy between the refs in the league and yourselves.

We’ll just have to disagree on the penalty then. Maybe it’s karma for the one you should have had in the opening minutes at PP. I thought the free-kick which led to our equaliser was on the soft side, but a great delivery from Buxton and finish from Cook. Wasn’t aware of McNulty being booked at all, though he was lucky not to see yellow for the incident at the start of injury time.

On referees, this is the first penalty given against us, I felt was wrong, but there have been some blatant penalties not awarded in our favour this season. I don’t remember any game where the officials seemed to be totallly against us, but there have been some poor showings from the men in black.

Having seen Pearson's conduct for the rest of the game, it wouldn't surprise me if he'd deliberately shoved his head under Suttons arm to try and dupe the ref. What an arse he is. Regardless, I can't really blame the ref for giving it - we'd be apoplectic if it was the other way round and it wasn't given.

I thought both teams had controversial decisions go against them. In fact, it probably evened out over the whole game, and is probably why I left feeling it was a fair result.

Pearson does like a tumble over in the opposition box, there’s no doubt. He’s been doing it all season. He always comes barrelling into the box looking for contact and then falls down. This time it’s more of a stationary one but he’s definitely being grabbed round the neck, it was hard to see in real time hence not many appeals. But watching the BT highlights, Sutton has him arm wrapped round his neck the whole time.

I'd have been surprised if we got a penalty for that. There have been a couple against us, Sutton's v Dover and McNulty at Macclesfield which I didn't see clearly in real time, but on looking back at highlights, could understand why they were given. However my blindspot remains on this one.

As for the result,no arguments. Over the ninety minutes, Wrecsam were slightly ahead on points and they look a much stronger side than the one who rode their luck at Prenton Park. Thankfully Rovers have come on since then too.

While a draw was a good result for us, I still think one of you two will win the league. Feel like we're fighting Macclesfield and Sutton for 3rd!

We’ve had a fucker of a fixture list over the past month. Reckon Edinburgh has got us organised enough to stay up. Aldershot were clinical; most sides in this shithole aren’t.

Woking - yesterday aside - Halifax, Maidstone and Hartlepool are all in free fall and three of the bottom four are as good as gone. It’s not going to be pretty watching us limp towards the line, but it’s going to take something spectacular to relegate us, I think.
I have to agree. I wouldn't be surprised if we were in the bottom 4 by mid-February, but that's only due to our intimidating fixture list. Tranmere and Fylde coming up amongst the next 3 games as well.

Would expect us to be comfortable by March once we get to play a few of the bottom sides.

Thought Aldershot were a decent side yesterday, but have now seen a few posts from them saying we were mediocre? I thought we gave the shots a real run for their money and should have gone in at half time 2 up, not 1-1. And let's be honest fro a second, that third goal was incredibly lucky to squirm under the keeper - though the best side won I think its disingenuous to imply we were mediocre.

Doesn’t look good from that angle to be honest. Seen a different one at a different angle and he look liked he gone for the ball but not so sure now

I wouldnt say you were mediocre, the only difference between us was that you didnt kill us off when you had the chance to, whereas we were more clinical in the second half (and were lucky that your keeper had a howler with McDonnell's winner)

3rd what? 3rd team confirm our place in this league next season? That's all we're going for now!

You probably only need 19 points from 15 games to make the playoffs - I cant see you dropping down to 8th by the end of the season. 3 games ago you were unbeaten in 10.
