Turned us over pretty handily at our place (doesn't everyone?), but of course we're road warriors.

1-2.

Walsall win would be nice here. Just so we can have a chance of 6th Sunday before our usual bottle job in that position.

Revenge for the home defeat would be peachy. I'd be happy with a draw mind you.

I'm hoping Millwall can keep up their good away form in this one.
Will the sending off on Tuesday have any real impact Wall fans?

With the other 4 defensive options all possibly out (Craig, Edwards, Cummings and Williams) losing Beevers is a fairly big blow.
We might well have to select the same teenage centre half who was utterly dire vs you lot in the home game. If Nelson plays we lose this game, IMO.

Mahlon Romeo and Sid Nelson, who have about 10 first team apps between them, make up half of our defence today. This could be interesting i.e. possibly disastrous, but interesting all the same.

Well it could be a cracker then as our second Keeper is out injured late in training and we are now playing 21 year old Liam Roberts, who has never appeared for the first team. SOD dropped Lalkovic back out for Henry, why not just play them both?!

Hit the post and then Bradshaw off injured..just as Posh and Wigan join Burton in the lead...only Gills left for a bad afternoon at the office.

If Bradshaw is long term, our aim is to cling onto 6th with our life.

2 down now.

All signs point to this being the self combust button pressed.

If Bradshaw is gone long term, we need a loan in before Tuesday or else we are fucked when the top 2 is considered.

Wigan and Burton coming up...

Mahlon Romeo; how's he done 'Wall fans? I think he had one appearance for us in a meaningless end of season game, he looked alright. I gather he's found the net today?

I think this was his debut, and from my person at the game, she said his goal was a peach.

3-0 now, cracking scoreline that.

Wish we could play away every week. Sounds like Romeo has had a cracking debut, even taking his goal out of the equation.

Providing there isn't a late surge from one of the other hopefuls, and with Sheffield United continuing to unimpress, it's starting to look like it's between us, Southend and Posh for the remaining (remaining two, possibly?) play-off spots.

Didn't deserve that at all. Bossed the game for 2/3'rds, Millwall were lucky and we were unlucky in that our chances weren't converted. They then counter and score 3 thanks to defensive mistakes down to us chasing the game as well as having our young 3rd choice goalkeeper making his senior debut in goal.

Never a 3 nil game. So angry atm, fucking soaked too.

Millwall got very lucky but did counter attack well and exploit our goalie. That RB of yours looked decent going forwards but Rico had him on toast 3 or 4 times, especially in that first half. Rochdale did it better, they completely nullified us, Millwall didn't do that.

All in all, you looked pretty poor first half but improved in the second half when you began counter attacking us when we pushed forwards more after Tom got injured.

Sounded like dear old Rico got pulled apart a fair few times in the 2nd half, too. But of course the debutant who scored and helped his defence keep a clean sheet came out looking decidedly second-best in this encounter.

Frankly, if you can't bring yourself to give sincere praise, don't bother at all. [Insert grumbling comment about being patronised by a Walsall fan here].

When did I say he came out second best? He got beat a few times by Rico (who played LM not LB btw) in the first half and we looked a real threat down that side. That isn't me trying to skew or criticize him to annoy Millwall fans, it's a fact.

The sincere praise I did give was that you counter attacked well second half. That is what I believe what you as a team did well. I personally don't think Millwall were all that great today, and yet you walked away with 3 points. That is what my view of the game was, that is the ENTIRE point of a forum, to provide opinions. If you don't like my opinions then just ignore them.

This seems to be a recurring theme amongst home teams we've done over this year.

"They didn't look all that but their counter-attack looked alright".

Or address them, innit. I dunno, I thought you were being a bit disingenuous, but then you did say that you were in a foul mood because the weather was shit, so maybe I should have just left it. The way things are going, we might well meet in the play-offs for round 3. In that case, hopefully the weather will make for conditions better suited to football.

Very open game, we defended deep, spending a fair bit of time on the edge of our own box and broke very quickly. Walsall had some chances, we had a hatful and took 3 of them. Biggest scare was a cross (not sure if the wind played a part here) hit the post and then the keeper and then put out for a corner. Great debut goal for Romeo and Greggs up to 18 for the season.

Sounded like our own fault for not capitalising in the first half. Millwall are brilliant away from home so had this down as a tough fixture anyway, especially with the weather. Said a draw would do to my mates but to lose 3-0 on home turf can only be seen as a disappointment really.

Rico needs to go back into the wing back position for me, and Lalkovic to start. Sean o'driscoll...hate to say it has got a few things very wrong of late. Still more than happy overall but we definitely need to be freshened up one way or another or we could start slipping as other teams pick up form
