This is a short term solution to a long term problem.

I keep hearing it's not about pretty football but we haven't played "Pretty football" since Hoddle in 98, our last laudable performance. The one before that, 96 and Venables.

The problem hasnt' been England trying to play too pretty a style, it's that we can't even pass the ball 5 yards because they look like they are going to soil themselves when in possession, or defending for that matter.

This is the footballing equivalent of electing Donald Trump.
