That looked very much like a mid table battle at the Pirelli today. Not much quality on show and a point a fair result.

I think both teams will see it as two points dropped though.

No points gained on us from the bottom four though and another week closer to getting some players back which we need desperately.

Remember Oxford fans on social media speculating whether they could catch us and go up automatically. They’ll be lucky to hold onto a playoff spot!

Performances finally starting to turn into points. Only bottom half team to win today, looking a little more comfortable.
You've done well mate and consolidating a respectable position in the league. 6 points in the last week is great stuff, boy, I'd settle for half that !

We got battered a wee bit in that match but somehow took the lead, Morecambe came back and we were very much holding on for the draw at the end. A win would have been great obviously but a point isn’t exactly bad either.

Only a fool would bet against it happening again, a statement made today.
Great 3 points at Oxford, maybe not the best team in the league but certainly the best bench.

We have got that too tbf Fossey has a hell of an afro :ohy:.

On a serious note we shown proper cojones today to get the win with a ref who was a massive _____head... especially having to come back from behind twice. Great first half by both teams with real intensity & tempo the second half not so much. I don't think we'll get play offs at all but I'm going to enjoy a good end to the season to hopefully set us up for a good go next.

Boring Oxford can’t keep a clean sheet against the better teams in the league and Bolton look like they have what it takes to push for promotion next season. We need a bit of luck with injuries to get a settled back four for us to cope with the loss of Thorniley back to Blackpool.

I like that we keep our attacking style of play though, it’s certainly entertaining and enjoyable most weeks.

We played well today, but Fleetwood were probably the worst team I've seen at Whaddon Road this season. They had absolutely nothing going forward.

We, on the other hand, finally looked dangerous and 2-0 doesn't reflect the way we dominated.

We'll be fine now - the winless run was becoming a concern, but performances had never really dropped. We just want to finish above 17th.

I thought some of your attacking play was fantastic today but nobody can win promotion defending like that. Reminds me a lot of us before we switched to the 3 atb. Took 2 really cracking efforts today to score against us whereas if we’d played 4atb you’d have put 5/6 past us today with your movement and interplay. Brannigan will surely be playing in the championship next season with someone. He looks exceptional.

Brannigan like MJ Williams and Gethin Jones came from the Liverpool Academy and play the right way

Salop came for a draw. They were were very defensive minded. We clearly struggled to break them down. Salop bunched in the middle pushing us outside and encouraging us to cross. This did not work For us, they handled it well. The first time we got to the byline we scored. We did not look great, but the credit for that goes to Shrewsbury. 3 points. According to K-win‘s stats 22 to go.

Difficult game that, feels like a loss. We controlled the ball for long periods but just didn't do anything with it, playing in front of Gillingham. They sat deep and we didn't know how to break them down as Ehmer did a really good job on Stockton.

They score a screamer out of nothing and then Chapman pulls off a great save in the last minute to stop us from knicking it. Gutted. If we don't get anything on Saturday, then I think we may be done. I just can't see where our wins are going to come from.

Very nearly out shithoused the kings of it today, got the early goal from a corner no less (beautifully worked move BTW) and give us something to defend and attempt to catch them on the break which we nearly did to get the all important second . They had plenty of chances but we defended heroically and reduced them to long range, got caught out with 5 minutes left, the guy who crossed the ball in decided it would be to wind up the home support for some reason.

Cheer up mate, we are in the same boat. I looked at the team today and felt this is good enough to get a point, we were crap.
Still we are all optimistic about the next game, however who avoids the drop may have more to do with other teams being worse than ourselves

haha, my god they parked the bus against us on Tuesday.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, it's entirely a legit tactic.

But we get every week the, "well, you know what you're going to get with Wycombe", so if nothing else, it was nice to give Ainsworth a chance to reverse the cliches and be equally bitter in his post match comments, as in "well we knew what we were going to get". Woop woop!

Good second half performance today. Donny had a couple of good chances first half but couldn't put it away. One amazing safe from Bazunu again.

Second half was some of the best football we've played under the Cowleys. What was encouraging was the number of players involved with the goals. We've struggled to create chances all season but we looked incisive today.

We're unlikely to threaten the playoffs this season but there are encouraging signs for next year.

It was a good match today. A 0-0 that was really enjoyable. I don't know if Ipswich have left it too late to get into the playoffs but it's going to get really congested up the top of the table with them and Bolton on good runs. Portsmouth as well. It's still really open although I can't see past Rotherham or Wigan for the autos.

Were they time wasting from about the 20th minute onwards with you on Tuesday? It is very rare for a goalkeeper to be warned in the first half for time wasting, but he was twice. Ignored the ref both times, and more times in the second half. Despite the ref giving various Barbara Woodhouse signals they never did get on with it.

As you say it is a perfectly legit tactic, so no complaints, Gills and Cambs also did the same and it is up to us to break it down.

Quick Tyler Walker question for Lincoln fans - Sounds like he did pretty well for you on loan a couple of years back. He's been really disappointing for us so far. Doesn't contribute in the build up and doesn't seem to be anywhere near the ball when it's in a dangerous area. Even yesterday when it seemed like every other player was involved in the goals at some point, he was nowhere to be seen. Completely invisible. What type of goals did he score for you? Thanks

Some solo efforts, finishing inside the box from crosses and a couple of penalties (he missed a fair few of those mind)
Odd the Cowleys are struggling to get him to play to as he did well for them here before they left and did well under Appleton too, got 15 goals in half a season in a struggling side.
Marquis has settled in well for, lead the line superbly yesterday despite Wycombe trying to rip his shirt off at every opportunity.
