If we get positive results tomorrow we will call it off.The league made us play with 9 teenagers eighteen months ago
Yawn neither funny nor relevantYou guys need to be careful, Barry Bennell did that and got 30 years for it.
Should be grateful that you weren’t tret the same way as Bury. The league made us play with 9 teenagers eighteen months ago
Keith Hill's failure is summed up by the Exeter Manager in his preview video yesterday when he said "Barrow were probably unlucky to not get more out of the game even when they went down to 10 men".... The Exeter manager is either;- a) getting his excuses in early or b) saying Tranmere didn't create enough against 10 men - which is exactly your point on the negative tactics I think.Should be grateful that you weren’t tret the same way as Bury.
Back on topic, probably another low-scoring game in Essex. Keith Hill’s failure to go for the jugular after Barrow went down to ten men midweek and his post match remarks about wanting to secure a point haven’t gone down too well on Wirral and are surprising for someone whose contract will allegedly only be extended if he gets us promoted. Can’t see much change from the midweek line-up unless picked up any injuries.
I didn’t watch the game but the impression from various sources was that if anything Barrow were more likely to score after losing a man, while Rovers kept giving away soft free-kicks. Introducing either Corey Blackett-Taylor with his pace or Danny Lloyd, who would make a nuisance of himself up the field might have put more pressure on Barrow than essentially leaving things as they were.Keith Hill's failure is summed up by the Exeter Manager in his preview video yesterday when he said "Barrow were probably unlucky to not get more out of the game even when they went down to 10 men".... why would they treat us the same way as Bury......we had collateral hence we got new owners, Bury did not have much to bargain with....Hence nobody wanted to buy the clubShould be grateful that you weren’t tret the same way as Bury.

More players have probably left Grimsby since September than we actually have. The Holloway effect has seen two of our loaned players being recalled, young Edwards and Morton have gone back to Bristol City.
Paul Hurst has already stated he likes to use a small squad and keep them all happy rather than having loads of players sitting around, so I expect a cull in our numbers during the next window.
As for the game tomorrow, no idea what team or what tactics we'll employ. You can't polish a turd, but you can mould it into whatever shape you want, if it's not too sloppy!
Don't worry we won't be that keen to recall Bennett. Also saw what Ollie wrote in the local Bristol press regarding why he left. Did'nt want to go into too many details but suffice to say his aligence was with Fenty and probably would have soured any relationship with any new owners plus the fact after promising to invest £100k when his house sale had gone through. Obtained a letter from Fenty allowing him to cancel this transaction based on the club being sold. The Holloway effect has seen two of our loaned players being recalled, young Edwards and Morton have gone back to Bristol City.

Did he mention the totally inadequate squad of 39 players he assembled and his involvement with a known serial fraudster that Fenty was courting for 1 million quid?Don't worry we won't be that keen to recall Bennett. We got them for nothing and only pay in fish & salt, so no real wage bill to worry about. Morton flattered to deceive and never got a good run in the team (like most of our players). Why have you got such a massive squad? Doesn't make sense at this level.
We had Morton on loan last season, deep lying midfielder good passer, looked decent.

it's not just the pitch it's the whole area around the ground - there's black ice everywhere (i live about 1/4 mile from the stadium) - even just trying walking to the ground would be a big risk at present.Micky Mouse in this day and age.....we had underground heating 30 odd years ago
