Our back line clearly feeling generous today.

It's been an enjoyable watch regardless. With 8 debutants today and 14 incoming transfers I won't be too critical over results for the first 6 or 7 games.

Morecambe spirited today. We've helped them out, but they certainly don't appear out of place or overawed.

Starting line up looking poor up front again. Not seen Green have a good game for us yet while Jaden Brown is a left back playing left wing. Options off the bench are Kamberi, Johnson and Corbeanu, no Gregory unfortunately.

Happy enough with that, the leveller will hurt Morecambe. I enjoyed watching it.

Defensively we were calamitous but Cook is looking at 2 more CB's by Monday apparently which is important after Nsiala limped off in the first half in tears.

Based on today Morecambe will not roll over for anyone & I feel we will do very well once we "click". Wouldn't be surprised to see us mid-table after 10 games, possibly along with you guys!

Thank you for those gracious words. What are your thoughts on Cole Stockton?

Decent point for us at Gills with an undercooked squad and a handful of injuries.

No idea how the game really panned out.

Not a classic by any stretch Luke but a point probably about right.
A few silly moments when your guy decided to go into the home end (not in front of, actually in)
to celebrate the goal but all in all a lot of huffing and puffing without much quality.
Keeps us unbeaten for the season though

Two poor teams today. We were largely pants, looked exactly like a team whose pre-season has had every disruption imaginable. No real link between players and completely lacking energy. Still gifted Cheltenham the equaliser and never really looked like losing, so I guess it’s onwards and upwards.

Agreed, was pretty worried considering the outs so nice to get a point on the board and get up and running. I expect us to get better as the season goes on.

Seems a kerfuffle after Edun's goal featuring alleged racial abuse towards Cohen Bramall been reported to the police.

If it was racist then there is absolutely no excuse whatsoever. Never has been, never will be.
I was pretty close to it and I was speaking to a guy who actually about two feet away. He was absolutely adamant that there was no racial abuse.
It happened because your guy left the field of play and actually celebrated in the home stand. The Gills fan then pushed your player away. Another of your players then came over and started shoving the fans. That’s when it kicked off.
As I say no place for racism in football or society in general but I am pretty confident that this was not a racist incident.
The Lincoln players could have gone to their own fans and celebrated but they chose to go into the home stand.
That was the catalyst for the whole sorry saga

If there was any racial abuse that’s totally unacceptable and needs to be dealt with accordingly. But running in to a home stand to celebrate a goal isn’t very clever.

Pretty low quality game in all honesty. Charlton should have won that really, they dominated in the air and bossed the second half until 80th min after we edged the first. Stockley was a handful.

Toothless going forward again although Bannan missed a sitter late on to win it. Andre Green can’t seem to do anything right, anonymous again. Brown on the other side was okay but you can tell he’s not a natural winger.

Very underwhelming. Couldn't tell you what formation we played first half. Don't think our 1st 11 will look anything like that in a months time, but if it does, we will be really struggling this season.

A point was a fair result today. Oxford had the better of it first half and we had the better in the second half.

I was expecting more from Oxford to be honest and we more than held our own. After today I’m confident we’ll be competitive this season.

Played well today and Ross Stewart shows why we won’t miss Wyke too much, he is such a better all round player. Midfielders playing in both full back positions done a job filling in and Callum Doyle from Man City in CB who is 17 was class, going to the top him mind, you heard it here first. Played some decent footy and could have scored a couple more. However Wigan will do well this season in my opinion and just need time to gel and can see them being up top end.

Great result away at Fleetwood having lost one of our 2 central midfielders 20 min before kick off. Ogilvie having to play there having never playerd there before. Took a while to shake that disappointment. Bass in goal kept us level at ht as well as some heroics by Raggett. Cowley tactically got it spot on 2nd half changing to a back 3, had a few chances and could have won by more than 1 goal. Fleetwood will curse there poor finishing and meeting Bass is good shape Desperately need a couple of Central midfielders ASAP now.

Got a feeling Cowley will have u up there, gonna be around 8-10 teams who feel they can go up in top two. Gonna be a hard and fascinating league this year.

Not great from us today by all accounts. Big blow losing Niall Ennis in the warm up. 45 games to go. I do expect Rotherham to be up there though.

I thought Crewe were poor today and we weren't much better, though I think we were better.

Last season's weaknesses came to the fore again and that's being the better team in 2 of the 3 thirds, before falling apart in the final third. Alfie May will run and run, and cause all kinds of problems, but put him through one on one and watch him hit it straight at the keeper.

We are so desperate for a goal scoring forward otherwise we will struggle to score enough.

We always struggle on the opening day though, so a decent point away from home and we go again on Tuesday against Bristol Rovers.

It felt so great to be back in a football ground today.

I’d have taken a point before the game given everything. To concede an equaliser with the last kick of the game though is gutting
Where do i start i will give a honest view of todays game
Surprised at the line up and felt pretty confident pre kick off.
We kick off and it quickly became obvious that we was playing a shithouse team and a weak pathetic referee
Bakayoko was a beast and hit anything that moved mainly fair ....Harvie for MK was the main target who liked to fall to the floor and whinge at every tackle.
Mk Dons adapted better to the slippery conditions and knocked the ball well in midfield especially Robson who was running the show.
Then a bad kick out from Gilkes to John who slipped let Eisa in 1-0 fully deserved.
We at this point struggled to break mk down as we looked toothless upfront Bakayoko apart
Doyle huffed and puffed yet it was obvious he was a yard off the pace and Dapo was doubled man marked and struggled to get in the game.
Midfield was all Dons Sheehan at this point was not at the races, Sarcevic was a yard behind the pace and Williams tried to match dons physicality.
The Game changed in the 30th min when we got a free kick 25 yards out and Sheehan stepped up and made it 1-1
Then up until half time we had a number of chances to go into the lead.
ht 1-1

Second half
our midfield got back into the game and Sarcevic and Sheehan started to get us on top
Bakayoko fired us in front and at this point it was how many would we win by.

On a rare venture forward Bakayoko give a stupid free kick away as twine lost the ball.

Twine stepped up and scored dons second goal Gilkes again was poor in his positioning........though i now know it was deflected.
All Bolton at this stage and dons fell over kicked the ball away time after time...........Referee piss poor and was losing the game
Sub came on again another time wasting tactic.....Boateng then finished a well worked break to put Dons 3-2 up
Game over so every one thought when we kicked off 5 mins later after dons finished celebrating

5 mins extra and it was all one way we missed a glorious chance in the 93 min and with time running out Baptiste found himself in no mans land in the 95 min, and from three yards out scuffed a shot that just about got over the line...........cue wild scenes

mom Robson/Twine Dons..............Sheehan/Bakayoko Wanderers

I see the Gills goal came from a Griffiths error. He makes a few and I think he'll be more harshly punished this season than last.

We could have (maybe should have) won if we’d have punished his other fumbles

That'll do. Far too early to make any really meaningful observations but signs are that we're capable of carrying on how we finished last season though Donny had pretty much a new team out and even allowing for unfamiliarity, man for man they don't look anything like the same quality they've had over the last few seasons. Goals from midfield are what we're going to depend on to replace Pigott and we got a couple from there today - Ayoub Assal at 19 is a genuine star in the making and him and Luke McCormick will be a real nuisance for any lumbering agricultural centre halves. Probably right back to earth with a thump and wilt in our first home game in front of a proper crowd at the new stadium next week, but a nice start today.
