I’ve just seen a stat that said 60% of our goals conceded away from home this season have come in the last 5 games.

Nuts.
Hopefully we will push that percentage up a bit more on Tues. If we play like today we may well do

The ref set the tone in our game with a yellow very early on and that's why we ended up with 11(?) yellows along with 3 reds.

On first viewing, I think Rushworth's is harsh and worth an appeal to be honest. It looked like Taylor got the ball but Rushworth got in the way before they tussled? The first Vale player to get sent off didn't seem to remonstrate with the ref but I didn't catch what happened. Bit enthusiastic by the Vale sub, he got his first yellow a minute after coming on at HT.

A sloppy second to concede from us by trying to keep the ball in on the halfway line but a good first time finish.

Pass of the season from Mandoiu for our first and his second assist wasn't too shabby either.

Vale weren't the worst side to come to us this season but you know when you look at a side and think they're ill-disciplined and have an air of, well, not complacency as such but kinda drifting and going through the motions? That's how I felt about them at times. Which is surprising because that's 2 wins in 19 for them now I think?

We are down absolutely shit most of them players are. Can't defend, can't keep 11 men on the pitch, can't defend set pieces, keeper can't save shots, players can't tackle only to give fouls or pens away and some of them can't even be arsed put the effort in. Ipswich lost 9 nil to man utd in the 1990s and I can see them beating us by that score in Tuesday. Cass, Jones, garrity injured, ojo, politic, Robinson and conlon suspended so may have to put out youth team players in midfield. Can I see one thing a heavy defeat 3 pens conceded and 2 more red cards.

Well that’s us fucked for the season in terms of the playoffs.

5 points off 6th, with a worse goal difference than the competition, and 4 games to go.

Always a big ask but we’ve underperformed in several games where a team deserving of promotion would have ground out the result - just not good enough.

Oh well. L1 football to look forward to again next season. There are worse fates.

Seems we are furious about the Conlon red, apparently the Lincoln lad kicked out at Conlon and he’s been sent off arguing it, so from playing potentially 9 men 2-1 up it evens it up which is kind of the way it’s going for us a bit.

Will be funny Tuesday. We’ve got one central midfielder now!

Could be 10-0

Were we getting our next points from? Ipswich will wear us like Sooty, maybe a point at home to Rovers but won’t have the quality to win it, tricky tie at Charlton and then a desperate for promotion Argyle.

Cambridge and Oxford have a piss easy run in last 3 games.

We’ve got two as Tommy McDermott is back at the club. Wasting time complaining about Conlons red, he’s not been sent off for nothing so once the goal goes in my question to him is why retaliate at all whether it was verbally or physically?

Tommy is a kid. You can’t shove him in at Portman Road, it will do him zero good.

Of course you can. They had no problem giving him his debut on the opening day in a position he'd never played in his career. Low expectations on him and he's been training around the first team going back to last season and will have Tom Pett to help guide him through. How much he will learn playing against a Sam Morsy will be invaluable.

In what world is 9 points above the drop with 5 games to go (as it was before kick off), ‘need a win or we are down’ territory?
Because of what has happened… we are now 6 ahead, with a hideous run in, dire form and both an injury crisis and four players suspended…

That today was one we had to get something from, even if a point… by not getting it that has pretty much sealed our fate.

We will get hammered away at both Ipswich and Charlton, Plymouth will need the points for promotion last day and will beat us comfortably. The only chance we have is against Bristol rovers who have nothing to play for but a rovers fan has commented say there playing quite well. It's basically easy to beat us as we can't defend high balls in the box, keeper never saves anything, slice clearances away, can't tackle and when we do it gives a penalty away or player gets booked or sent off and players can't be arsed put the effort in and as soon as they concede a goal or a decision goes against them they lose the plot.

A colossal mess of January biting us on the arse and injuries, three fit centre halves of which one is useless, can’t change it though… now we’ve got one senior midfielder available… we went 6 weeks with no strikers in January.

Ridiculous, we’ve downed tools. Now lost discipline and it’s a really bad picture, at this moment in time I am worried as to how we are going to do in League Two with the form and momentum we will be taking down into it, especially with the clubs likely to be in it.

I can't remember the last time Fleetwood scored 5 in a game, never mind 5 in an away match. Well Blue Square Premier League, circa god knows, Southport 2 Fleetwood 6. Jack Marriott hat trick and he is total class since we signed him. John Coleman has done a superb job at Accy and if they go down wish them a speedy return - quality club with an excellent Chairman

I said at our game that Marriott is class, a better signing than Stockley.

Neither looked great last Monday although Stockley did score.
What Stockley is excellent at is laying off and bringing other players into play. His assist ratio is superb and if it wasn't for some serious shite ref decisions he would easily have another 2/3 goals

To be fair they do have a tough 4 games.

not to mention the fact that a dark cabal of referees sits around in a conference each week to plot how best to rob points from them. What has a simple team from Burslem done to upset the match officials so?

I feel the powers that be in the Football League should be paying more attention to this blight upon the integrity of the game.

Won’t lie, I certainly don’t think we’re at the beach yet. Saw this on fb before that game today, can’t help but feel like Vale are really in trouble

We're fucked. We've got 4 horrible games left and today everything went against us and not for the first time this season. Let's be honest, there's never 3 sending offs in that game but we are just plummeting to relegation. Can't believe we're in this situation.

They’ve a tough run in but I’ve never seen a team be 9 points above the drop with 5 games to go, lose it and a lot of their fanbase seemingly believe they’re 100% down.

I will try and be as diplomatic as possible but Exeter are absolute shite!

All fart no shit and never threatened once after going behind. We won in second gear and thats a pretty fair reflection of how bad the greek scum are!

Yeah it seems to be a bit OTT considering they are still 6 points above the drop zone

It's a strange one because I've been convinced for ages that we're completely safe, and I still believe we are, but there's always that nagging doubt that we'll lose our last 4 and the teams between us and Morecambe will go on an unbelievable run.

Cambridge are flying right now, so you can easily see them getting safe now, Oxford seem to be a goal away from turning things on their head and Franchise have now not lost in 7. With everything going to pot, it's easy to see why Vale fans are fearing the worst, especially when Oxford and Cambridge could be within 3 points of them on Tuesday evening.

In the event you’re here next season wait until you see the Carlisle fans if they come up if you think that’s bad. It’s not a view I subscribe to but the ill discipline that’s been shown recently is a sign of a team that is just counting down to the end of the season.

On another note having seen a few highlights that was an absolute shocker not to send the Bolton keeper off at Oxford. Not that am complaining as it keeps the gap to them in tact.
