Home to Wimbledon. In all 4 games to date we’ve started like a house on fire in the first half and folded like a pack of cards in the second.

Could and should have been way out of sight at Posh last Saturday come half time but a 1-0 lead turned into a 3–1 defeat. Individual, basic defensive mistakes costing us dear in L1.

Shouldn’t take too much to put right and I’m expecting a narrow win against Wimbledon - who, tbf, look much improved from last season.

2-1

Home to Bristol Rovers for us. We managed to field a Lincoln Lite team last night so we should be pretty fresh bar two or three players who had to play due to lack of numbers.

Appleton's been nominated for Manager of the Month.

Don't know too much about Rovers. Obviously lost JCH and Garner still seems to be trying to put his stamp on the side, albeit over half a season into his tenure now. I recognise some of their players and they don't look too shabby a squad at this level.

We'll be without Walsh (apparently still working his way back to fitness after being on compassionate leave for a while), Lewis (Wales U21), Johnson (Wales Senior), Elbouzedi (ROI U21) and Bradley (injured, although he probably wouldn't have made the squad anyway).

Our very good start has got to come to and end sooner or later, it would be very (old) Lincoln City to do that against Bristol Rovers. Hopefully we can continue wracking up the points though. It’s that lovely Fl££twood team with Mr Barton away after.

This is the big one v Peterborough as far as we're concerned and gutted that there will be no crowd. There is however currently unsubstantiated rumours that Curle has been diagnosed with Covid though, if true that might lead to the game being off fully if it's spread to the players.

Accy away. The traditional Dale win, followed by a rant from John Coleman.

No Melbourne either by the sounds of it, so probably Edun having to play at LB.

Our bench will probably have a GK and 6 attacking players on it again!

On paper Rochdale, Burton and Wimbledon as the first 3 games at home looked pretty favourable. Rochdale were terrible, Burton adequate but blown away early and Wimbledon.....

Been reading they have improved this season but if we start as we did the last 2 games we should win. Not going to kid myself we are going to roll Wimbledon over, our defence is leakier than a welsh vegetable market which remains a concern but I’m confident we should win.

I’ll go 2-1

Bristol Rovers at home is probably the first game where we're classed as favorites this season. Having the guys on international duty and injuries is a shame although in fairness it's only Johnson who would probably be a starter at the moment but it's meant we don't have any back up defenders which is a worry.

From the outside looking in, I'd expect Rovers to be up there, seemed to be a bit of buzz with the owner writing off a huge amount of debt, recruited early and seemed to get a few names in the door and had a bit of cash to spend.

My memory may have deserted me but I think Rovers turned us over at home last season to a JCH penalty which was a bit fortunate.

Hopefully we can continue the great start, players seem confident and know what's expected but the run needs to come to an end. Not sure how Rovers set up whether they're physical or more patient?

Hmmm Wellens has just announced our latest injury problems -

Lengthening injury list for @Official_STFC manager Richie Wellens “Caddis hamstring 2/3wks, Conroy achilles op today, Fryers, Hunt potential back stress fracture, Iandolo knee, Lyden pulled calf 2/3wks, Stevens stomach bug” #stfc

Sounds like we’re training on bloody tarmac this year. An already leaky defence is stretched to the limit! Eek

Wigan at home for us. Wintle and Beckles our with Covid plus another two unnamed players. Jaaskalienen is away on international duty. Artell also mentioned we have a few more injury’s. All in all I’m not very optimistic about this one.

If they defend like they did Tuesday you’ll have a field day. They made five changes but not sure how many of them were defenders. The two centre halves couldn’t defend at all

The last time we were on Sky saw a nightmare game against Wycombe, tonight we saw a fantastic team performance, we battered and pulverised Hull especially in the 2nd half in a superb display with every Fleetwood player on the top of their game. Young Harvey Saunders is absolutely on fire and now has 6 goals in his last 3 games.
We ran Hull ragged, winning 50/50 balls all over the pitch, and never stopped running in dreadful conditions at times. Hopefully this will turn the corner for us, Mr Barton will sleep well tonight

Excellent 3-1 win vs oxford, rode our luck at times but we had plenty of chances ourselves and maybe should have scored 1 or 2 more than we did.

Excellent result for us, although Oxford certainly had their chances too. I’m starting to think we might do a Wycombe

Fair play Brizzle that was the archetypal away win.

Not a great game overall with very little in the way of attacking quality from both sides. Should have been awarded a penalty in the first half as McGrandles was upended but these things happen.

No complaints over the penalty or sending off - both stupid and deserved.

Played better with 10 men but couldn't find a way through since Hopper went off injured - lost any sort of physicality in the box. Rovers then slowed the game down at every opportunity and got the win.

Seemed to resemble the game last season at the Bank.

Wow, utterly dreadful for a third league game in a row. Can we quit and just play U23 teams instead?

I hope the EFL investigate Wigan for turning up at Gresty Road and being that so fucking shit. Did they not think to maybe phone ahead, pre warn us and let us rest some players? Police matter this.

Wigan looked woeful vs us today. Kirk and Ainley were on fire. Some of the skill from them two was superb. Great to have Powell back in the team also he makes such a difference with strength on the wing.

starting to get fairly optimistic in our chances this season. Even when we lost vs Charlton and Hull we played ok and we’re unfortunate.

I thought it was a game of 2 fairly poor teams today. Once you got your lead you just stayed in your shape and soaked up the pathetic offering we had. Your keeper’s handling and kicking was very good in windy circumstances.

OK, after nearly 60 years they're allowed to win one! After an abysmal first half which somehow remained goalless despite Accy dominating, we score from maybe our second attack. Then let in two quick, soft goals and spent the rest of the game huffing and puffing, but not really causing too much trouble despite a succession of corners.

Won 2-0 at home to Burton in a game I felt we controlled and dominated, it should’ve been more really the amount of times we cut them wide open and then just made a poor final ball or decision.

Burton either aren’t very good, or they had an off day, or they’re missing players through injury, if they play like that for the rest of the season they’ll be in trouble imo.

We’re not the finished article yet but signs we’re starting to come together and adjust to this level. The players Lowe has bought in are good additions and are starting to understand the style and system, but I’m sure there’s more to come yet from this team. We’re probably only about 6-7 out of 10 from our best at the moment.

To add to this, I am also astonished that the Oxford fans have not gone mental about Beckles and Wintle playing. What about the Wigan players? Does nobody care about them? Could somebody please think of the Wigan players!

Might sound odd, but I am disappointed. Burton were there for the taking, and despite scoring twice we did not take them as far as we should.
I suspect Burton’s injury issues at the back may have accounted for what looked like a relegation level performance.

Terrible goalkeeping error gifted us our first - low not that powerful a shot went straight through his hands and legs, who’d be a keeper.

Really didn’t expect that result. Missed the game so have no real idea what happened, but going from both Rovers and Lincoln forums it sounds like we deserved it.

I wonder if Garner has finally turned the corner with us? That’s 2 good performances in a row and 2 wins. Burton at home up next and suddenly there’s some optimism in the air, for the first time since January I’m actually looking forward to a game and expecting 3 points! What’s going on?!

With the exception of the first half against Charlton, not seen a lot in L1 thus far that scares me. Hull were very average and MK Dons and Wigan were both poor. But for Jamie Jones, Wigan would have lost by 5 yesterday and they didn't even manage a shot on target.

Good to see the Alex spreading the goals around as well, 2 from defence yesterday. Haven't even got most of last seasons top scorers going yet either. Next few weeks are tough, lots of difficult games, especially on the road.

Still, 6 points from the first 4 is a good return.
