Crewe at home 2/1 looks inviting but not as inviting as MK to win at Newport.

Time to lump on.

Would have also bet a small stake on Barrow but with the new manager now in place at Valley Parade I will stay clear.

BTTS , Crewe vs Notts, Colchester Vs Sutton and Wimbledon Vs Donny

Big game against Notts County. Seems both teams might be getting some important players back fit. Them with Cameron, Bostock and Brindley, the Alex will Tabiner, Long and Tracey.

Should be a good game between 2 teams who like to get it on the deck. I think their front line will cause our defence problems and could well score a couple. But I would hope we can attack well at the other end and do the same in kind.

Wouldn't mind a draw to be honest, going for another desmond.

Salford are decent odds considering we’ve now lost 3 on the spin in the cups. Still without Akins for this weekend too and they always seem to get the better of us.

Hoping we bounce back from the cup games and continue in the league where we left off, I’d take a point here with 3 easy wins against Newport, Swindon and Tranny to follow :D

A win at the weekend would be a fourth straight league win for the first time in just shy of seven years, so I'm sure Sutton will get a result.

We’ve apparently got 12 senior players out injured. A lot of those have been/will be out for several weeks as well.

Barrow at Valley Parade. Last season's fixture was probably one of the worst games I've witnessed. Not expecting to get anything out of it. 2-1 Barrow.

Full team and reserve. Bloody Hell.
But are all injured 1st teamers ?
Is the manager pushing them too hard in training?

And is your chairman's face covered in egg ?
Sometime ago he was bragging that his Vegan policy helped his players keep fit and recover from injury much quicker than players from other clubs. Twat.

A Tranmere win would put FGR back into an auto-relegation position which should be the real concern for the club.

Having an unusually long injury list at present doesn't prove him wrong y'know

Sounding like a nailed on away win then :)

One or two Rovers players likely to be missing injured, but don't think they'll make a difference. Luke Norris gives us a different option up front and I'd expect us to score, but the defensive issues and late goals conceded of late have been very costly and Adkins is reluctant to move O'Connor to defensive midfield to give us more protection. It will be interesting to see how McGee and Hendry fare against their old club. Draw most likely outcome.

While there are certainly some health benefits to a vegan diet, is there any research that shows such a diet helps recovery from injury?

Even if FGR have a vegan policy at the ground, doubt that Dale Vince can enforce it outside of that, so the players will eat what they deem appropriate in their own homes. Don't know how many of the Forest Green players are fully vegan, would guess the majority aren't. So even if improved injury recovery was shown by such a diet, most players wouldn't benefit.

It’s his entightlement of pushing his beliefs on the club and visitors that makes him an Uber Cnut.....and probably the most disliked owner in all the efl.

If I'm right, they don't try to enforce it outside of the club.

There's very little research to show if a plant-based diet can help recovery or not. I think there are some small studies and a fair bit of anecdotal evidence but I'd like to see some more wide-ranging studies before making any such claims...

There’s been a bigger study done on meat eaters.....it’s called human evolution and without it there would be is plants growing all over the earth with no soy boys around to eat it.

Good to see the bookies still love us after our 2 recent non performances and and a physio’s room that looks like something out of 70s Nam. Crewe 2/1 haha I’ll have some of that.

The last time I went to Gresty Road was a few years ago on the first day of the season. We scored after about 2 minutes and my pissed up mate thought it’d be a good idea to go on the pitch to celebrate. Got nicked, spent the night at Widnes police station and had to find his way back to Notts on the Sunday. The admission might be expensive but the beer in Crewe is very cheap.

Is because if you are in Crewe you have to get drunk or you'll realise you're stuck in Crewe.

Yep, players free to eat what they want away from the club.

Think I read there's only one who's vegan in his own time, Dom Bernard, who's been probably one of our most consistent starters.

Salford almost feel like a bogey side, not quite Harrogate levels mind.

If you look at Salford league form the only side they have lost to anytime recently was the 3-2 defeat at Wrexham, I’m concerned about Saturday to be honest after losing three on the bounce, admittedly all cup games.

Still not confident we worked out how to play without Akins yet, and Clarke will be a big miss too. We got a lot more about us this season though, I’ll take a point.

Graham Alexander’s first game in charge. Barrow at home - shocking record against them.

If Chapman is back to full fitness, he has to start. Probably our strongest XI, if you ask me.

GK: Harry Lewis

RB: Brad Halliday
CB: Matt Platt
CB: Sam Stubbs
LB: Liam Ridehalgh

CM: Ritchie Smallwood
CM: Alex Gilliead

RW: Bobby Pointon
AM: Jamie Walker
LW: Harry Chapman

ST: Andy Cook

How have McGee & Hendry looked? Both excellent players for us at this level.

I'm a lot more confident with Cameron and Brindley back available, and it sounding like there's a chance Bostock could play (and Gosling in to play some part as well). Should be a good game, I always fancy our chances more against teams that play a similar way to us as they're less likely to go after our obvious weaknesses generally.

Without 2 of our best players in Mullin and McClean. Expecting us to go with 2 bruisers up top in Palmer and Dalby, with Jacob Mendy filling in at left back. Dalby finding the net in the last game will hopefully give him the confidence needed up top.

There's word that Aaron Hayden might be back for this one, which should alleviate the slight injury crisis we've seen across the midfield and defence. Not sure Andy Cannon makes it back for this one, which is a shame as he looked brilliant against Mansfield.

I think the side pretty much picks itself with all that in mind:

Okonkwo

Forde
Hayden
Tozer
O'Connor
Mendy

Evans
Jones
Lee

Dalby
Palmer

11 changes from Tuesday, with just James Jones featuring in that match. He'd probably still play on the Saturday if he'd run a marathon on Friday though.
