Our game against Morecambe has been postponed due to damage to our main stand in the winds last night:

At least we didn’t wait til 2 hours before the game to call it off…..

Sounds like Bonner has been at it with a hammer, good job gaffer.

I've found it quite amusing at how a section of our fanbase, after two freakishly good seasons, are losing their minds over the possibility we might get relegated from L1. As well as having a bottom 6 budget, we have a stadium that's barely fit for L2, we're absolutely light years away from being able to sustain ourselves at this level and this surely just proves that, it's not even been that windy!

Haha yeah. I do see their concerns, it’s much easier to avoid relegation from a division than it is to get promoted into it - I want us to preserve league 2 status as much as anyone. But not at the loss of our most exciting manager for 30 years!

We need updates to our ground (ie a new Habbin and NRE, and also a new main stand roof ideally!) but we’re never going to need a 20k all seater as some of our fans seem to think. Nor would we get it with this council and the traffic problems at 5pm on a match day as it is.

I didn’t realise it had been that windy last night, Bonner definitely did a good job of unscrewing some of the bolts. ;-)

I remember Workington playing Man Utd in the 3rd round of the FA Cup January 1958, just a few weeks before the Munich Air Disaster. They actually led 1-0 in the game before ( I think ) a Denis Violet hat trick which saw them finish 3-1 winners. I seem to think Jimmy Scoular was the manager but probably a million miles off the mark
I doubt Jimmy Scoular was the manager as I watched him play for Bradford PA at Ashton Gate in the 61/62 season.

I thought it was going to be Bill Shankly manager but he'd moved on to Huddersfield in 1956. The manager was actually Joe Harvey, who went from Barrow to Workington before eventually getting the job at Newcastle.

There were over 21,000 at that game - a record for Borough Park, which now has a capacity of 3,101.

Our pitch is excellent, a far cry from when we had that Boxing Day game abandoned a few years back.
Its not 100%, but I'm confident it will take whatever the weather throws at it

Yeah, the pitch is excellent. It’s poured down for the past 2-3 days so the fact it looks like this today, is impressive.

Lots of rain tonight but I’m sure the pitch will cope fine.

Fantastic photos mate, you have no idea how much I enjoyed looking at them - great stuff and thank you
Like 000's of other very young kids, I became a Man Utd fan because of Munich

That's because we're not bothered about yoooze country bumkins lol . Seriously though, I'm sure it was on Sky on a grim Friday night. Just saying. There could have been a train strike , and it's notoriously tricky for us Derby fans to journey laterally across England
Who's given this **** the site address again.

Ipswich 4/9 today! I get it. Plymouth's results regularly exceed their Xg and Ipswich are probably the reverse of that. However, Plymouth keep getting it right where it matters in the 6-yard box. Plymouth Double Chance at 17/10 looks great value to me. Might even put something on a 2-2 draw.

Massive game. A win for us is a huge step closer to promotion you’d feel. Would also take a point all day.

No idea how it’s gonna go. They’ve got a couple new signings and I’d expect most of ours to feature somewhat.

We’ll have the two Norwich lads at wingback so a bit tastier for them.

Personally I think we’ll come out and take the lead, and then Ipswich will dominate the second half, equalise and we’ll be hanging on at the end. 1-1.

Fear for us at Wycombe with our defensive numbers taking a hit, if they play the percentages then I fancy them to turn us over.

Almost impossible to predict our line up today, could have up to 5 debutants which isn’t ideal in the middle of the season, but needs must. We’ve already used 27 different players in 25 league games, most likely to go over 30 today. Maybe we can find a settled team after this window ends.

The state of our subs bench today...and not in a good way!

We've gone four at the back, more of a 4-2-3-1, but it doesn't look a great side overall tbh. House and Roughan still missing, no Walsh either. Bishop in a wide area, Sanders/Sorenson midfield. Crikey.

We look improved by the signings though not carried much threat, Exeter had a pen shout when MPH took out Sparkes but he fell in a way that probably made the ref doubt him. Exeter's corner routine is a new one on me, the bus queue shuffling across horizontal.
Slightly second best then but might nick something.

Pretty comfortable first half other than a header from I think it was Raggett. We should have scored more than 1. Bodvarsson off injured and he’s looked so good the last few weeks. Nlundulu on… and is running his arse off. Pressing… and we lost a ball from a corner and he chased Pompeys counter attack. Guessing he wasn’t running like that for you Cheltenham fans?

Pompey need a new manager and a few players in fast… if they hadn’t had a decent start to the season they’d be relegation fodder based on these performances midweek and so far today.

Didnt you just sell Kilgour to Mansfield too?
We did, although I still dont think he would have got a game today. Apparently Thomas was in our squad for today but asked for a termination of the loan so he could join Barnsley and sit on their bench.

Great goal from SWFC to be fair against the run of play. We'd started brightly, but didn't take a couple of early chances, so...

We're playing OK and are still in the game, but really aren't creating much up front and we've barely challenged their keeper, so we need to step it up somehow in the second half to get anything out of this.

SWFC's backline looking disappointingly solid right now, and also they look strong on the counter so we could easily get caught out with pushing men forward for the equaliser.

2-0. Bit harsh on the young gk to drop a cross like that. He’d looked ok on debut up to that point
