One of these days it’d be nice if we could keep all eleven on the pitch for 90.

That said good performance and third clean sheet on the bounce. Could have nicked it at the end. Burton really didn’t fancy it up against Faal when he came on.

Really, really bad first half for Luton despite having the bulk of the possession. Not that you’d have noticed because most of it was either backwards or side to side.

Everything about that game was shite. Luton’s lack of intensity, lack of creativity, disorganisation at the back (which I didn’t see coming to be honest). Every 50/50 challenge going against Luton in the eyes of the ref.

Yep rubbish but not surprised. There’s good individuals at the club but the TEAM is poor.

The squad is poorly balanced and not really disposed to any clear way of playing. Because we have loads of centre halves we default to 3 at the back but that doesn’t suit the wide and forward players we have, and other shapes/styles don’t suit the CBs and midfielders we have and is clearly moreover not what the manager wants to play either.

So everything looks disjointed, even in good days let alone bad ones like today.

It’s going to take quite a few more windows to unwind the frankly appalling recruitment of 3 seasons

Few red cards around .

And teams really do need to learn they cannot always play out from the back .

Knob head ref spoils another Vale game. What a surprise! We would have won comfortably otherwise. If it's true that these decisions even themselves out, we're going to have a hell of a run of victories!

Poor old Port Vale eh! Can't believe another decision has gone against you!

In terms of our game, I feel it was a great advantage playing Plymouth so early in the season. Its the type of game that suits us, let them have the possession, press them high and they'll lump it long and lose it.

For first 35 minutes first half they were terrible and played right into our hands. Great finish on weaker foot for Bayliss for our first, Collins then had 2 efforts saved by their keeper.

They came into it last 10 mins of the half as they pushed camped a little more in our half, and had a chance but we saw it out to half time.

2nd half, as expected they started the stronger for 5-10 mins, until we scored no. 2 and 3, both from Collins - what a shrewd signing for us last season.

At this point they could either let the game fizzle out of go for broke. They carved us open far too easily for their first, and the 2nd was very disappointing from a corner kick.

Despite the mad few minutes up to 85, I felt we managed the rest of game, including 7 mins injury time with more ease than expected.

Hopefully we'll see some movement in the transfer window this week as we had 4 youngsters on the bench and showed lack of depth compared to Plymouth's options

You could tell Plymouth have a lot of talent but just not playing as a team, I'm sure they will come good. Their fans have absolutely no faith in their keeper, but to be honest he made 3 or 4 cracking saves.

Not sure what happened with the ref but 2nd half he all of a sudden got very Card happy - booking any player that moved. Another interesting game for Wiredu for Plymouth, gave away the pen for a handball and somehow not booked, then booked alongside Street for a corner, then given 2nd yellow for a dive late on.

Some great performances from ourselves considering lack of numbers and available players we have. 2 wins from 3, 2 away games up next.
