Classic Vale fans, you get used to it. Probably one of the racial abusers from the other week. Burslem is truly grim.

Here’s a revolutionary concept. Rather than lump everyone in together how’s about cutting out the generalising.

Switched to 4-4-2 this half. We’ve been even worse, if that’s possible. Dire, dire stuff.

Make it 2-1 to Vale now. Switch to 4-3-3 done the trick.

Read the comment from your fan after all I said was 'get in barrow'.
Appreciate I shouldn't generalise but not easy at times.

Taken a dodgy pen to get the lead, Scunthorpe were doing well stopping us play before that - on the gamesmanship side, our commentators reckon by going down and staying at every opportunity, and otherwise they're complimentary of the home side.

I have and it’s disgusting and inexcusable no argument there.

Long way to go in this game though. Got a feeling this is going to be another Orient or Sutton type of finish. Which way it goes I don’t know.

I’m not sure how much longer this run can go on for, another loss and poor performance.

don’t think we’ve won since the second fixture this season.

Sounded like Scunny were the better side first half, we came out well, got the pen then a decent second from open play and now it's all Scunthorpe again, including a cracking save forced from McGee. Does feel like doom and gloom when all your good work goes to nothing as seems the case for Scunthorpe here, as we've not sounded particularly good bar a short spell.

Obviously know not to preempt things too much but those are the kind of results a side that wins promotion picks up. Looks a good sign for FGR to me.

See Sutton just taken the lead again, got to give a lot of respect to them. Done a cracking job this season so far. Wonder at what point their manager becomes linked with clubs higher up.

3-1 Benning. Think that SHOULD do it!

Meh, game over. Can't get too disheartened after an unbeaten run, we're a mid table side by the looks of things so you take the losses when they come.

Another McGee save then the Scunny player stays on his feet in the area with his shirt being tugged, think you might be on to something kieran.

All getting a bit bad tempered and eight minutes of added time. Matt subbed off before he got a booking I think, to a round booing :D

That was a long way from being a classic. We were toothless again, and needed an own goal to sway it. Still... another clean sheet and a welcome three points, and I think the travelling fans had fun!

Good bite down on the gumshield kind of win for Vale there coming from behind.

One of the big things we do have is depth on the bench and ability to change things up if it’s not working. Compared to last season where Askey wouldn’t have been able to / willing to do that is the big difference now.

Well, first half was a clear improvement but once Tranmere scored early in the second there was only ever going to be one result. After that we started getting sloppy again. Although we did still force another good save from the Tranmere keeper.

Good comfortable win against poor opposition. Have to be beating these types of teams at the bottom if we are aiming for the playoffs.

Just gash from Pools, no redeeming feature whatsoever. Can't even say that Salford didn't allow us to.play. they were pretty damed ordinary too, and I'm certain they can play far better. They were still way better than us and deserved their win all day long. We had plenty of the ball but I can't remember a Pools side conceding possession so frequently and so easily for quite some time. We have some truly hideous options up front.

I'd say this is the second mini-crisis of Dave Challinor's tenure at the Vic. His response to the first was superb. Over to you Dave. Good luck.

I actually thought you had the better chances, but that's not saying much in that game! We needed a good save from Doohan in both halves.

Got the job done in the end, Scunthorpe put up a decent fight but lack a bit of quality. Forced a couple of good saves from McGee. Pretty tetchy at the end think there were 10 bookings altogether (5 each) which is unusual for our games.

Edged that I thought, but punished for poor keeping in the end.
I hope you all lumped on the draw, it will be the same again on Tuesday

To be fair regarding the own goal, I think it was one of those where its a brilliant cross and the defender has to try and do something with it or else it's a tap in.

Game of two halves at the County Ground. Fully deserved lead at half time and then we played the second half as if we were asleep during the break. Sloppiness which Rochdale benefited from and looked like they were going to take all 3 points until Jonny Williams first for the club. Our dropped points at home against teams we should probably be beating is really holding us back at the moment.
