Our home form this season has really been holding us back. We're definitely better away, in fact we are unbeaten away from the County Ground. Yesterday was probably our best performance of the season and we have to follow it up at home to Rochdale who seem to be struggling. Last home game we played well against Colchester but could only draw 0-0.

We've got to get straight back on the horse at the weekend. No idea what Barrow are like. If they enjoy pumping high balls into our box and have a team of giants then we might struggle. I seem to recall them being a bit of an up and under team last season, but with cooper in charge it might be death by passing which will suit us.

We've played really well in patches and then inexplicably dropped off and let teams back in. If we put together a full 90 minutes we're going to give someone a pasting because at times we've looked far superior. Ability wise we were streets ahead of Sutton yesterday but we just couldn't cope with their tactics. Hopefully it was one of those days but we've conceded a few goals recently.

I'll go for a 1-0. Tight game where we nick it.

We barely have any players over 6ft - probably the exact opposite of a long ball team (we tried to match Orient at it yesterday and were hopeless). I'd confidently say that the only team who really outplayed us this season have been Stevenage, and you get the feeling that if our forwards click then we've got a pasting in us too - equally though, we tend to make a lot of stupid errors at the back. Probably two closely matched teams again, and I'd be happy with a point.

A huge game for us after yesterday, with last season in mind getting a result like that out the system quick is crucial, we saw last year how that can spiral quickly and under DC I would be expecting a big reaction Saturday.

We seem to have chunks of games where we are unplayable and full of quality in our play but are not being clinical enough in those spells, so many games we’ve said “should be out of sight here” and cost us yesterday, nearly did against Orient and did big time at home to Rochdale so have to start putting teams away… and that’s because we then go on spells in games where we drop off the levels and intensity and seem to sit deep.

It’s another tricky game, bar Scunthorpe we’ve played all the current top 7 and the others outside that we’re doing well at the time so it’s been a tough start for us on paper so being fourth I guess is good going.

If Barrow don’t have a big man up top and load the box with crosses to them that’s one bonus for us as we look very fragile with that, we had a lot of decent performances against Cooper as FGR manager so hopefully we can carry that into this one.

Tricky one but hopefully we can get back with a win.

Not much more to add to what Monkey says.

I would be happy with a point, keeps that tally ticking over. I don't think we have the strength in depth to compete any higher than mid table, so I'd be happy if we had a season of plodding along as we are now taking last year into account.

If we manage put 2 passes together and manage a couple of shots at goal then it's a better performance than what we did against barrow last season at home. Hopefully we will be tighter at the back and nick it 1 nil or 2 1. We had alot out injured against these last season but not sure who is out apart from legge.

No offence to Scunthorpe but given their current form you’d have to expect us to win fairly comfortably, especially with Ebou Adams back.

Need to get Conlon to shoot on sight! That game was awful Boxing Day, we had loads out with covid and injuries but it was probably the low point followed by Mansfield a week later.

It’s when it became obvious Askey’s time was up. Nathan Smith was terrible! Thankfully he’s back to his usual self these days!

Good battle at their place mind. Kicked the shit out of us but we stood up to it… literally chalk and cheese those two performances.

Some seemingly (at least in my eyes) generous odds at home. Yes our home form isn't amazing but nearly 2/1 at home to Rochdale seems off to me. I would also have expected Vale to be odds on also. Crawley at home to Sutton looks big also.

I think our experience of the last 20 odd years is playing heavy on our fans. Even in our promotion in 2013 we kind of limped over the line. We generally start seasons quite well and then go on an horrific run, then pick up one or two results in March/April time to make sure we don't go down.

We've definitely got more quality this season and in patches have outplayed teams significantly. We just still have a bit of a soft underbelly and concede really poor goals.

I'm hoping we get straight back on the horse at the weekend with a comfortable win.

The one thing am not in the least bit concerned about is our players having the confidence knocked out of them after losing late at Sutton. If that was a problem for this group of players they wouldn’t have staged the comeback against Orient the week before the way that they did. We do however need to be far more clinical killing teams off when we have the ascendancy.

Barrow have a decent enough team and another with a good manager at this level so will be a big challenge on that score but at home I’m expecting us to be well up for it.

Yeah I mean Tranmere happened... we recovered a few games later smashing Bolton but then Walsall happened, and then injuries decimated us over Xmas so was a few factors involved plus whatever went on off the field and the McKirdy rumours, Sinclair whatever who knows!

Positive is in the main we played well at the weekend, was superb at times and reading the comments from Sutton fans they were very complimentary about us... one even referred to us "these are absolute quality" so its not like we were last season at times when we were fairly crap.

I expect DC will be working on their reaction as off this morning.

Bristol Rovers (h) - aka everyone’s cup final, according to Joey Barton.

Doesn’t seem two minutes ago since we started the season very well, scoring plenty and looked a threat all over the park. Now, as soon as we have some bodies coming back from injury, we lose another in Oscar Threlkeld.

Anyway, I’m sick to death of Adam’s 4231 formation. Cooke is has been non-existent in the CAM role! Big Cook is completely isolated. Gilliead, albeit a good carrier of the ball, very rarely does so. Vernam is the only attacking threat, IMO. Thankfully, Abo Eisa is back from injury, but there’s talk of him being competition for Cooke at CAM - which is nonsensical. Watt and Gilliead need dropping.

GK: O’Donnell

RB: Cousins-Dawson/Threkeld (if fit)
CB: Songo’o
CB: O’Connor
LB: Ridehalgh

RW: Eisa
CM: Cooke
CM: Sutton
LW: Vernam

ST: Cook
ST: Robinson/Lavery

Our home form has been alright - still unbeaten. 3-1 City

The A217 Derby! Or not as the case may be.

I still haven't forgiven Sutton for nicking John Mackie of us, which shows how old I am, but they have a couple of ex Reds in their line up and the manager was here for a bit too so I'm sure there'll be a welcome on Pease Pottage Hill.

Sutton had a great result v Port Vale and we have only lost 1 in 6 so two teams who should be ready to play.

I'm going for a 3-1 win for us but with a late breakaway goal to seal it after Sutton bombard us for the last ten minutes trying to equalise.

We're gonna have to win away at some point!

It will probably be next Tuesday mate. We are usually quite obliging at allowing clubs to end bad runs like that

The classic one for us was back in the 90's. 3 months into the season, our visitors one particular day, Swansea, not only hadn't won away they hadn't actually scored a goal on their travels..Cue for them to rock up at Valley Parade and beat us 6-4 in an incredible game

Good to see you back in the Football League too. Always enjoyed my visits to Victoria Park. Good club and supporters

Expecting nothing to change this week - Club officials and staff seem to be hiding in their bunker and repeating the same messages.

Handy win for FGR at the moment.

Other than the FA Cup tie in 95/96 has there have ever been a competitive game between Sutton and Crawley? It’s strange that two traditional non-league clubs based relatively near to each other have rarely played each other.

We’re on a great run of form, confidence is high. I wouldn’t be surprised if we do slip up here.

Tranmere have yet to score a league goal away from home this season. If the current form of Carlisle and ourselves is anything to go by we should break our duck on Saturday! Then again?

Not at Crawley, no.
2-1 win to us with maybe a large crowd to witness it.
There'll certainly be a large Crawley following for the away fixture next year.

It's a proper shame this is on a Tuesday night, if this was a Saturday afternoon we'd comfortably bring a 1,000 down, good day out on the drink, plenty of decent places to eat, such an underrated city Bradford.

Still think you'll pagger us but we'd welcome three points!
