What an awful game in the first half. Just had a definite pen turned down by the ref, other than that Swindon have the ball

Comfortable away victory against a poor Gillingham, only downside is we missed a penalty and a glorious chance in the first half to increase the score line.

Unbeaten since opening day and now back to back wins rather than draws. Maybe it's starting to come together for us.

Hartlepool look in big trouble based on that. Should have scored several 2nd half. Wilson will never have an easier hattrick and scored zero.

Quite easy this sport of football when you've got people who know how to do it.

Pretty straightforward for us today. Stevenage were woeful and everything you'd expect from an Evans team - very little footballing ability in that side and didn't look comfortable unless the ball was in the air. We cut through them everytime we went forwards and their back line looked shit scared of Cook.

Special mention for Tyreik Wright who looks like a cracking signing. Goal, assist and MOTM in his first 90.

Swindon totally deserve the 3 points, absolutely clueless again from McSheffrey. I’ve defended him, given him time but enough is enough

Yeah I was expecting a tough game today and you clearly have good players but there is something not quite right. We looked to have much more energy, snap in the tackle and better passing all over. Felt a bit sorry for your fans in the end, very little positive to take, your keeper was good I guess.

For us, it's a case of patience is a virtue as we finally put together a cohesive 90 minutes and there was no weak links today. In fact picking a man of the match tricky, Blake-Tracey, Clayton, Jonny Williams and the endless running of Jacob Wakeling the stand outs for me. 2 wins in a row, perhaps Scott Lindsey knows what he is doing after all! Really pleased for him, he's taken a lot of stick.

That wasn’t pretty but Colchester were absolutely dreadful.

Yet again we had a poor first half (Efete and Kiernan need dropping) but much improved second, topped off with a stunning goal.

Exciting time to be a Grimsby fan, but I’m still sure we’re going to need more going forward to maintain. Having said that, we’ve done all this without our best player in McAtee.

Must admit i’d have thought orient and barrow will have started to fall away by now, and they probably still will, but impressive wins for them both today.

Good wins for mansfield and northampton.

Looking a bit bleak for hartlepool and dale.

I feel bad for O'Donnell in goal for them, a penalty save and no-one to bail him out. After the second their heads just dropped and they weren't really in.

Hoskins keeping up his run at the golden boot from the wing.

Played a lot of the lower half of the table, got a few bigger games to come now.

Bit early to expect falling away surely?

I’d be surprised if barrow and stevenage are up there at the end of the season. Orient have hit the ground running.

Given how dreadful we were tuesday today was a pleasant surprise.

Thought Dale looked good first 10 but the wind really went out of them with the goal and they fizzled out a bit.

We’re playing some really nice football this year as well, Brady has really opened us up. Leonard on loan from Brighton is constantly demanding the ball and he’s absolutely top notch.

Shame that we had another player off injured today in Tyler Magloire, can’t get a settled side out at the minute with 6 out injured. Boost was Ben Fox doesn’t need surgery so instead of 6 months out it was 2 weeks, and he was excellent when he came on.

No sign of a post playoff hangover either.

Yep we stank the place out yet again. It's just not working. Hartley has to go.

Also, another 2 for Sam Hoskins and he’s up to 10 for the season. Awesome start from him and long may it continue.

I’m not shocked by Stevenage considering the manager. Orient got a lot of wins against the likes of teams you expect to struggle so I’m not quite sure about them yet. Yes they did beat us but it was rather fortunate but they are flying.

Teams will drop off but I don’t fancy predicting who!

Another grounded out victory, neither team looked particularly good. 4 goals conceded in 9 games, 6 clean sheets & Danny Johnson subbed off on 60 odd minutes.

Really happy to get a clean sheet after having our box bombarded with long balls for ninety minutes. Like what was posted above, they had very little technical ability - that Piergianni needs sending back to Blackpool beach. They won't be up there at the end of the season as they have absolutely nothing upfront. Once they come up against teams who can't be bullied they'll struggle.

As for us, I thought we were decent without really breaking too much of a sweat. Cook continued his great form with another two goals. Wright looked fantastic and deserved his man of the match. Chapman looked threatening. Thought both Platt and Odusina handled the physical aspects of the game really well. I don't think we had anyone who didn't put a shift in. Hughes got his subs spot on, too; Oliver looked good and both Songo'o and Sutton did their jobs well. More of the same please, City.

yeah, the game at orient we should have been 2 or 3 up at halftime, but if you don’t take your chances….

It cohld be a very topsy turvy season

Ground out another home win, this one today was easily the biggest slog of the season because of the way Walsall set up against us, mainly with everyone behind the ball inside their own half. Thought for the first 30mins they carried a threat with balls going into the box and set plays but no clear chances created.

Apart from the very first minute when Sotiriou didn't get his head up to square Kelman for a tap in, no chances and a dull game.

Second half we managed to get George Moncur on the ball for a period and he managed to create himself some space to set up Beckles for the tap in, which was literally the only chance of the second half.

From then on we managed the game out very well again, Walsall got into our box once all second half and Abraham couldn't get the ball form under his feet to get a shot away. Vigs rarely touched the ball in the second half, once we scored I never felt Walsall could switch mentality to find a goal.

We played the same side as Tuesday and maybe some tiredness in our ranks because our energy levels weren't what they usually are, but we found a way to win the game against stubborn opponents.

Walsall I thought were very average and carried out their gameplay well, but they didn't threaten enough. Alot of pissed off away fans at the end with a few choice words. Flynn was very quick down the tunnel at the end.

A win is a win, but it was not entirely convincing.

Very welcome 3 points to cap off a good week in terms of results. 4 points from Mansfield away and Wimbledon at home is the stuff of dreams really.

But I have to say I was very disappointed in our level of performance. After the improved performance at Mansfield, we were back to our frustratingly inept ways today. We were lucky to come up against a Wimbledon side who looked devoid of any ideas and on balance we deserved the win. But if we want to avoid being dragged down towards the bottom 6 this season, we’ll need to play better than that. It’s not for the lack of effort, it’s just the same old story of not having much quality in our squad. People might look at this and see me as negative, but any Carlisle fan there today will agree that we weren’t very good. But were good enough to get the win do that’s what matters in the short term, although I doubt that level of performance will be enough most weeks.

I am happy though, as it’s a results business and today was a good one. Plus I’ve seen enough from us defensively in the last 2 games to be confident that we’ll stay up.

Special mention to the referee Andy Haines. One of the worst officiating displays I’ve seen.

Crawley were really really poor today. Sat back for 80 minutes looking for a 0-0. Very toothless, which is a shock since Telford was the top scorer in the league last season, but off that performance I think we definitely got the better Newport striker in Baker-Richardson. That being said we still wernt great and are very much a work in progress, we did everything possible to try and concede a late goal.

You look a good side, certainly played worse last season. We should have had a pen, the Baudry foul that wasn’t given was a nailed on pen but if it had got us a point we would have robbed you. I have zero clue as to what we are set up to play, I honestly thought after the Northampton game we had finally sorted things out but that team and today’s are decades apart

your issue when we played you was midfield, there was nothing there, slow pace and a lack of ideas.

Clearly you watch your side more than i do and the above could be bollocks, but just looked as if there was no element of surprise about you.
