This is what pisses fans off. Get pumped first half, second half change personnel, shape and commitment and looks the better side and it just points to the manager fucking it up from the start

Lucky that Cook can’t finish really, we’ve not been able to react to the faster pace second half at all. Like we’re just in a daze from home easy the first was.

Maybe it is, and I’m not saying we would have got anywhere. We shouldn’t have really last season with our resources, but Barrow, Crewe and Morecambe are currently occupying playoff places.

One thing that I have noticed this season, is League 1 is a hell of a lot stronger than it was when were last in it 9 years ago. A hell of a lot. The gulf between L2 and L1 is far bigger than I expected. Eye opener.

League One does look very difficult, lot of big teams with big resources there. If we do manage to go up again this season we will need to have a much bigger squad overhaul than we did this summer just to compete.

That said Stevenage seem to be doing OK so who knows.

We can’t half be annoying, absolutely sublime for 45 mins and then completely lost the plot for the next 45, totally lost control of the game and a bit lucky that Cook appears to be a complete camel.

Still, signs of how good we can be when we’re on it, and good to get back to winning. That second half is why we’re a play-off team this year rather than any higher though unless we can sort it.

Unforgivable first half. Better second half. Blame has to fall with Alexander for starting with a 4-4-2. Credit to him for changing it. We should have scored another goal or two. Cook with twelve attempts and not made the 'keeper do anything. A better team than us walks away with something.

This Stevenage side is Steve Evans' finest hour, but he won't get the credit he deserves for it. I'm gobsmacked they're up where they are.

Yeah based on today both sides would need lots of work to be comfortable in league one, obviously Bradford are struggling but that Notts County defence would have L1 strikers rubbing their hands together with the chances it gave up today.

They’d be ok from a forward perspective but would need to massively improve that defence, a modest L1 side probably hits 4 or 5 easily there.

Bradford just seemed to lack that killer touch but we’re equally bad at the back as County and that was the main difference in the end.

It’s still our non-league defence to be fair, don’t think we expected to be this close to challenging for automatics so soon. Signs of how bloody good we can be playing like this at this level, but the consistency isn’t there yet and realistically it’s probably three or four players away yet. We’re fun, though, loving this season so far.

Would bite your hand off for a point today. Squad still looking thin. Starting XI down to bear bones and looks like we will park the bus. Not much on the bench either tho good to see Clarke and SPH back. Hopefully Mansfield having a player sent off as per will give us a sniff.

It was objectively a great game of football to be fair, probably should’ve been 6-4 or something. Your opening 25 mins was pathetic but I thought you were pretty decent after that.

For me easy is where you don’t even have to be on it, run, work hard etc and just win easy by being far too good.

Comfortable is where you still work your bollocks off and it’s still tough, but you get into a position where you win comfortably.

We seemed to do well against the teams that liked to play expansive possession football last season in L2.

Gotcha.

So if you work hard and on your game your side last season would win at Meadow Lane and if you aren't you would lose

Bostock plays and Notts win. He's been a huge miss.

Palmer also a big miss but we just about manage. Not been impressed by Goslings cameos so far. Looks well off the pace and definitely not championship level

Probably all left after 45 for bingo and a nap

When the first half of the game is uncompetitive stroll in the park it's hard to get too excited especially on a mid-day kickoff. Blame the Bantams for being turd.

A smidge under 12,000 for a televised game , very few would manage that at this level. Must be the classy entertaining football and goals goals goals on offer most weeks.

Well this was never gonna be a classic and there's a ridiculously strong wind to contend with. Feels like one of those games that is gonna be decided by a freak/scrambled goal of some sort.

Enjoying the goals as they go in stuff on Soccer Saturday that’s come on in the pub. The two Mansfield players tackling each other when either could’ve just tapped in that penalty rebound there was a particular highlight.

Forgot they did that on international weekends, good day to play early at home then. Shame there's hardly any L1 one.

Mullin missing an absolute sitter there because muscle memory had him appealing for a penalty instead.

And an extremely dubious penalty for Forest Green. More as we get it.

FGR 1-0 from the spot. No chance it's a pen.

Deserved because your goalkeeper appears to be wearing a Forest Green shirt. Few pints in now and did a double take.
