It should be a decent game at Prenton Park today. We struggle when teams slow the game down and make it bitty, like Stevenage, but Oldham seem to be very open away from home. I can't see it finishing nil nil.

We need three points with two tough away games to follow next week.

Even watching us get smashed every week has been a welcome distraction from the other option of staring at the ceiling in between a home workout and another bloody walk.

Get a hobby, something like sitting on twitter posting conspiracy theories about games being postponed on purpose

well our original game against mansfield was called off 6 hours before kick off time with no more rain forecast....the pitch was playable kick off time

Teams in this league have not got a pot to piss in........Exeter v Grimsby should have been called off this morning

Some teams with less travel pitch inspections can be 10mins before start as far as i am concerned no fans have travelled ie your game today

Your argument is all over the place - you're saying that if no rain is forecast it should be on, but then also they should be called off in the morning???

Pitch inspections are fine - the only issue is the referees (usually the local ones) who think that a pitch will magically dry out by kick off. Can't account for that.

Wouldn't make any difference, we travelled down last night. During a normal season then yeah to stop fans travelling.

you wont be beating us in May........you will have played 10 games in 14 days
your rag tag urchins will rock up in ambulances and 6 will need injections before you step on the pitch.
Our 30 man squad will be on a high only needing to draw the game to gain promotion on the back of a 20 match undefeated run

Speaking from Devon's finest city I can categorically state that, with the rain we've had this morning, it would have...and NOT for the better.

I’m a bit worried Mansfield will lose our legs too early again, hope I’m wrong.

Game off, awful weather forecast and Exeter didn’t even put the covers on that they have access to.

Shambles.
Not sure you'd put covers on a pitch ahead of rain would you?

The drainage is in the pitch, not the covers and if it's was going to rain that heavily then the weight of the rain on the covers would wreck it and make them difficult to move. And where is the water going when you're taking the covers off?!

As a lifelong agnostic I deeply resent the "biblical" insinuation!! Merely to say "it's been peeing down" would have been more acceptable. :D

It’s ok Exeter we understand that you’re too scared to play our team of unbeatables but it’s ok as the rearranged game will only take place on OUR TERMS! :bg:

Ten mins before the teams are announced.......I expect one change Sarcevic to come in for Maddison
I expect Brockbank to make the bench..........Good options on the bench as everyone but the 2 long term injuries are available

3-1 Bolton
Doyle 2 Afolayan

One of the sure signs of madness is to keep doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome.

I'm watching the team picked for Crawley today with interest...and a white coat. :)

Seriously, it needs to change.

Looks like we are lining up 4-4-2. Not particularly a fan of that formation but the lineup itself doesn’t look too bad. Not sure about Crookes as a left back and don’t think Guthrie really warrants a place over Swan but either way new start and all that.

One change Fonz comes in for Isgrove.......very attack minded bench
Sarcevic only makes the bench as does Tuesdays winner Arthur

First team for Clarke and a few surprises!

Positive that Gibbons starts, huge upgrade and Mills not even in the squad!

Debut for Olagunju, we’ve been that bad defensively he is worth a throw! Big lad to!

Strangely Crookes in at Left back rather than Fitz or Montano.... unless it’s a 3 man central defensive shape?

Formation could be 3-5-2 or 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 it’s hard to tell as we’ve got three who regularly play wide in the side.

Not sure 4-4-2 suits the players we’ve picked as Joyce and Conlon would likely be over run... especially when Manny is on the bench. Taylor dropped too!

Looks like our usual 4-5-1-cum-4-3-3 formation, but potentially could be a 4-4-2 with Patrick up front and Dickenson on the left of midfield. No Alessandra which makes things up front a bit different, but we might be going more direct. The state of the pitches we've played on has been a factor in our form since Christmas and part of the reason why I think we're not creating so much.

Bench: Norman, McDonald, Armer, Furman, Alessandra, Toure, Zanzala

based on recent matches, expect to see at least four of these players making an appearance.

Exactly this, how many clubs have covers that protect against rain and then have somewhere to put that water afterwards?

Will Boyle out injured, breaks the streak of each of our back 3 starting every league game so far this season. With him, Sercombe, Chapman and Clements all out we're looking a bit thin at the moment.

One benefit of all these matches being postponed is Jem Karacan has managed to not miss a single game, really important to have him out there today.
