I say again ... we should be getting 3 ponts on satdee ... respects to bolton ... but this should be 3 points ... we need to be closing down on the top two ..

You’ll probably get them but we’ve conceded 1 goal in 7 games and lost 1 of our last 12 so saying it should be 3 points maybe pushing it a bit. We don’t have Bodvarsson for the rest of the season now which is a huge loss for us based on the last 4/5 games. I’d probably take a point but don’t think that’s good enough for either team at the moment unless we are settling for playoffs

Gas v us postponed, not great but a frozen pitch is what it is, I guess. Annoying that they seem to be making a bunch of signings as well, I would have rather played them when they didn't have a defence.

Morecambe manager doesn't sound too confident ours will go ahead, just hope a sensible decision is taken early enough if it looks likely to be off with the distance and numbers travelling.

Only 2 signings and one was a keeper we dont really need in all honesty. Should have more in by the time we play though

Cambridge at home for us.

After watching us against them on Boxing Day (even though we lost), Cambridge were terrible and I’ll be disappointed with anything other than a home win. I’ll be surprised if they stay up after reading about their injury problems and small budget which is a shame as I’ve always seen Cambridge as a likeable club so I hope they can find away to keep above the bottom four.

Us on the other hand, after three consecutive defeats, we stopped the rot with a convincing 4-0 win away at Burton last weekend. The new lad Phillips seems to have given us more energy in the final third and was big threat which we’ve lacked at times from midfield. Still riddled with injuries ourselves but our starting 11 should have enough this Saturday, I’ve got a good feeling for this one.

Salop 3-0 Cambridge
Do you think the game will be on? It’s bloody freezing here and I assume it’s similar there.

I wouldn’t be against a postponement as it’ll give us time to sign a midfielder and get some players back from injury.

Morecambe v Port Vale Postponed.

Not that fussed, gives us time to get Wilson and Harrison back for the re-arranged game!

Nor me. Feels like we're on the cusp of a stinking run of form, so this gives us time to reset, get some players fit and hopefully bring some new faces in.

If it was at Gay Meadow then yeah, no chance it would be on. However, since we moved 2 miles down the road to the new stadium, we’ve had next to no games postponed there. Our pitch is up there with the best in FL. 100% it’ll be on imo.

What's the weather like over at FGR?
Just announced that there is a pitch inspection at 10:15 tomorrow morning.

Apparently they have had the frost covers on since yesterday afternoon...it was -3C when we kicked off against Birmingham on Tuesday evening and the pitch looked OK...if it gets a bit of sun in the morning it might be fine, although the area in front of the main stand will be in shade for most of the game.

More chance of your lowest Premier League points tally being broken than Derby breaking into the top two.

Can’t remember the last time we were decent in January! Last January in a promotion season we even managed to lose 3 in a row and draw one!

Our pitch passed an inspection at 3pm this afternoon, but a further inspection is planned at 9.45am before the Burton team are scheduled to leave. Looks like a cold one in the East tomorrow.

Derby only won 1 game all season and also gave us our lowest premiership attendance ever at the new ground, our first below 20.000 in 7 and a half seasons there , and by some distance., must have been before they suddenly developed a decent away following, i.e. this season

Game off for us. Seems an early call. Currently minus 3. I see most teams are playing Tuesday night too (9 fixtures), but we aren't. Time to sort out our midfield!

Our game on Tuesday is rearranged from the 3rd round day. We could be well ahead of you by then (or perhaps not)

By next Saturday, theres some teams like yourselves and Forest Green, who will have played 3 games more than us.

We’ve now played only once on a Saturday since November 19th (and that was away). Bonkers.

Peterborough v Charlton called off at 1.30, some 90 mins before kick off. Shambolic that.

That is why I’ll always advocate clubs taking the decision a day in advance even if they think the forecast could improve. Saves a lot of people wasting journeys. Am glad Morecambe followed that course of action.

Morecambe probably learnt from when they called our game off there at 1pm last season. Arseholes. ;-)

Yeah that is pretty shocking to be fair especially given the distance. In so far as can tell with Peterborough they never even announced there’d be an inspection when at the very least if they were working on getting it ready could have had that done this morning. Really poor from them.
