Notts v Salford, both conceded 72 goals, equal worst defences in the league, nil, nil looks unlikely.
We've every chance of a win if we keep working hard and don't drop an all too often massive clanger in defence.

Jatta v Smith. The battle of the big lugs.

Be nice to win just cos it does keep the season going. I don’t think we’re likely to be anywhere near consistent enough to go in the sort of run needed, but six from two winnable games against Salford and Swindon then you never know.

We clearly aren’t going 90 minutes without Smith scoring a header against us.

Win that and there’s half a sniff of the play-offs. All that was needed for you lot is just doing the basics right at the back and keeping “us shape” - probably too late now but let’s see…

No need to blow even more smoke up the arses of the north wales mob!
You omitted that prior to Stockport, Grimsby had been on a terrible run, couldn’t remember the last home win. Now 2 home wins on the trot, is it 6 unbeaten?

There will still be many season ticket holders absent, I know of several who go virtually every game but are at Wembley to watch England
It was just a bit of a facetious dig at our home fans (like fans of all other league 2 clubs) flocking to a game against a non-local side that isn’t top of the league and doesn’t play particularly attractive football. Two home sell outs on the trot v Wrexham for us, that Tuesday night NL game was a home sell out as well. All good for the coffers of course…

I don't know much about Newport to be honest, reverse fixture didn't live long in the memory. Seems they've been quietly milling around mid table all season, but still have a sniff at the playoffs.

Massive game for us, but we're worryingly short upfront. 2nd striker Courtney Baker-Richardson likely out for the rest of the season with a shoulder dislocation. Leaves us with 1 fit striker in Elliott Nevitt. Also missing Jack Powell, Chris Long, Luke Offord, Joel Tabiner, Matus Holicek, all of whom start when fit.

Still, Wimbledon don't look fully stocked now, as they are about to lose Omar Bugiel to international duty and also seem to be down a few players to injury.

No reason we shouldn't be looking to take at least a draw out of this. A win would be massive and put us within touching distance of securing a top 7 spot in my opinion.
Best we can hope for here is a draw. We are light up front.

I can't see it, I think we've left it too late even if we did somehow get it together.

A draw at EP is basically free money, looking at that
Matches in L2 end in draws only 25% of the time. exactly 25% at the moment, (456 matches, 114 draws) so I would suggest putting money on a draw at anything less than 3/1 is a bad idea, and certainly when one team is favoured.
of course there are some teams that really do draw more than others. Grimsby most of all, who've actually lost less matches than lots of teams challenging for the playoffs, but I still think it's usually daft to ever bet on a draw.

Interesting stat, cheers.

I usually throw a draw into a 3 team accumulator to seriously boost the odds.

We've drawn 70% of our games since Cowley took over... and I would be more than happy to take another one tomorrow!

And we’ve drew with loads of lower table fodder at home like Tranny, Donny, Sutton and Bradford..

My bet tomorrow is Will Swan to score a brace.

any Newport fans heading to Barrow by train tomorrow need to be aware there was a derailment on the Lancaster to Barrow line today apparently caused by a sinkhole which means the there are now no trains on the line until at least 8th April. A bus replacement service is running but adds 60-90 mins to the journey

Home to Crawley. We were a bit unlucky not to come away with something in the return game, which was Adkins first match in charge. The Crawley boss whining about the number of penalties we get, maybe trying to put pressure on the referee, who's another triallist from the NL with only a couple of games at FL level.

It will be interesting to see what changes, if any, are made for this match. Captain Tom Davies is fit again and likely to replace Joe Yarney, who had a good game last weekend. Will Luke Norris start again?

Hard to call the outcome, all three possible but reckon draw the slight favourite

Yikes, makes that journey from GY on public transport over 7 hours one way for our upcoming match. Over 5 from London. Never thought I'd be uttering these words but can we just play you on a Tuesday night like we normally do instead?

We’re all Mansfield and Doncaster today, aren’t we?

We’ve got a great opportunity to show last Saturdays win at FGR wasn’t a fluke, but we’ll need to do so without Stephen Duke-McKenna who is away with the Guyana team (along with Deon Moore, whilst Us player Jay Williams is in the Wales U21 squad this international break)

We’ll also be playing in a Royal Aubergine coloured kit, in partnership with the Royal Marsden cancer hospital (a percentage of every shirt sale will be donated to the hospital)

I'm not quite sure why but I enjoy the games against Tranmere. There never easy, even when the fans say they're rubbish they always put on a good show against us. When we win, it's a hard fought win. I suppose that's it. Some get the joy by smashing a poor team. I prefer to get a result against a good side.

Tranmere, at ours, put in a good game after a poor run but I think we deserved to win, just. Some good players there so this will not be easy. They don't have much to play for so I'm hoping for some beach football from them.

2-2 draw.

Home to Gillingham today ,can't believe we have just lost 3 games in a row and still only 3points off the last play off spot ,this is a crazy season ,as to todays game its going to be tough as heavy winds are expected around kick off so not sure what kind of game we will have playing to the conditions

Casey, think if we win all our remaining games could scrape into the play-offs so not expecting any beach football from Rovers today, while that very slim hope remains. Windy weather could be a factor too.

I'm looking forward to this great West Riding derby, which is too close to call. Our home form is horrible while Bradford play better away. I don't think you can judge Bradford's form over the last three games playing on their cow patch pitch. The weather forecast is for gusty wind so it will be down to which team can deal with the conditions or get a bit of luck. Hopefully, they will be exhausted by their recent run of weekend and midweek matches.

The club has said it will be the highest ever attendance for a league match with over 4000 tickets sold. Yesterday, I went past the ground on the bus, the pitch and the whole ground looked in great condition.

Good luck Bradford supporters see you at 1.00 pm.

Sutton have passed up far too many great opportunities*

Can FGR get that essential win at Rovers, anything less and it's curtains imo

* Notts County games aside of course.

I didn't think Tranmere were as close as that(scrambling looking for league table from deckchair).

I would add a like but, while a decent post, I don't bloody like it!

Struggling with injuries at the moment particularly at the back. With Matt Baker away with Wales U21s we will have Jameson as the only fit CB. Bennett will most prob join him in defence. We have options going forward so expecting a few goals this afternoon.
