Jackett sacked at Orient. Means Orient win on Saturday.

For this game I'm thinking it may be time to give our favourite psycho Lucas another go in goal on the proviso he doesn't go all Jackie Chan on any opposition players in future. Holy for me gets beaten far too easily off very few attempts. I think Conlon may come back into the reckoning for this one. Would also be looking at bringing back Dan Jones which may mean a tough call to leave out one of the other centre-backs not named Connor Hall.
If TC isn’t back I would bring Jones in and move Walker forward, take Cooper out and probably go back to 3-5-2.

I know he’s nuts is Cov but Holy just seems not quite good enough. Should have done better with Tranmeres goal at the weekend and tonight, he spills a lot as well! Considering we’ve defended so well in recent weeks he lets too much past him.

Maybe time to get back to what worked in September/October now almost all are back It’s ok being 7 unbeaten but drawing 5 isn’t ideal.

Yeah that's a good option certainly if he is back. In the event Conlon wasn't fit I'd go for that 3-4-1-2 which we used at Carlisle:-

Saturday is massive. Sold out away end, with more City fans in the home ends too.
Would be over the moon with a repeat of the game at SJP, but as long as we dont lose, i'll be a happy bunny.

It's simple, our squad is much better than Rovers. We've got the best striker in the league in Nombe, the best midfielder in the league in Dieng, the best defender in the league by a country mile in Stubbs and Dawson is probably the best keeper in both L1+L2. We're both in form, but our form is still better and we're rested. We aren't going to lose this, worse case scenario is a score draw. But I'm going for a comfortable 4-1 win again. 2-0 at HT.

Mansfield fans: Is that Ollie Hawkins fella playing Saturday? If so I'm running to the bookies to bang my life savings on him scoring a hat-trick.

Nope. He picked up his 10th yellow the other day so he's banned for 2 games. O'Toole who has been immense for us also got sent off in the same incident so we're without either of our regular centre backs.

Wow, the hubris.

You've won your last 4 sure, but only by 1 goal and getting pretty extremely lucky in a couple of those (Orient, Harrogate).

Also beating Orient and Bradford by 1 given our respective forms is nothing to get excited about.

Exeter are decent, but this post is actual madness.

I’m a bit worried about Saturday, potentially no Lapslie, Oates or Murphy too. So who’s suppose to score? Hopefully Bowery got his shooting boots on.

If they appoint Evans it’s probably worthwhile to lump on Bradford

Having a fit squad that can play the duration of a match isn't "extremely lucky"

Last league results

4-3 vs Harrogate
0-1 vs Bradford
1-0 vs Leyton Orient
1-2 vs Swindon
0-0 vs Hartlepool
0-2 vs Walsall
2-0 vs Scunthorpe
0-0 vs FGR

Our defense, bar Harrogate, has been unbelievable. Now we have a fully fit strike force bar Zanzala, this division is ours for the taking. No questions asked.

There's multiple clubs who can say that though, the promotion race has been quite "streaky" this season, Mansfield were flying, Tranmere were flying, Sutton were flying and have dropped off, we were flying then had a sticky patch etc.

Those results, you've won games you'd expect you too really, Scunny, Walsall and Orient down there and Bradford out of form, along with Harrogate who are the most bizarre side going form wise. Swindon is a decent result but their home form was awful until the last week or so.

I would caution against too much expectation but you've given yourself a good chance of challenging the top 3 but from experience things can change quickly!

The promotion battle I feel has a few more twists to come.

Not against any of your lot in home ends. As long as they behave -- You know what I mean. Just a heads up . It is common knowledge in Bristol that you have purchased tickets for certain areas and this has been noted by certain groups. Just be careful.

We've lost 5 games this season. Only bettered by FGR. The next team have lost 8. That's quite a difference. That's throughout the entire season. We've been incredible this season apart from when we had a Covid riddled team and long term injuries to some of our key players, all back now. I'm not worried about finishing anywhere, but IMO our worst case scenario is second. We're looking to catch FGR and nothing else atm.

I'm not too confident. We did play really well at Newport up until the sending off though and that was without Oates or Murph. Still I'd have a better feeling about it if one of those and Perch were available. Clough obviously says they're all doubts but that means nothing with him. Fingers crossed a couple on the team sheet come 2pm Sat.

Whatever your worse possible 11 will be you’ll beat us by at least four goals.

Our game with Carlisle should be a right corker. Two out of form teams, with no manager or goal threats :fl:

yeah, the lads who are planning on being in the home ends are 'sensible' as such, so they know to keep quiet, no colours, that sort of thing. Like you say, as long as they behave they'll be fine

We're missing Foulds, Ridehailgh, Threlkeld, Angol, Eisa, Vernam, Walker and Elliott. It'll be a cake walk for Mansfield. Normally I'd fancy Cook to score against a former club, but unfortunately he's let himself go a bit during Xmas. Looks incredibly slow and unfit.

I really don’t get posters saying their so and so player is the best in the league. You only get to see other teams players a maximum of twice a season.

Anyhoo, we’ll butt fuck Exeter soon!

Simply not true, we've played Bradford 5 times. I've seen televised games...Yours in fact... I've got ifollow so when we don't play, which has been quite often, I've seen other teams play.

Yeah, just like you did when we smashed you at your place, you'll be lucky to survive a 4 goal hiding this time around at fortress sjp

Mate are you serious? Yes Exeter played well but you certainly didn't smash us. Smashing is 11 goals scored in 3 games and 0 conceded, not a 2-1 win

After Rovers have finished you on Saturday we’ll follow up with a nice big uppercut.

What's funny is how we've absolutely destroyed you in the last 2 games we've played you this season.. Tehehe GUFFAW

Mark Hughes, Jack Baldwin and Pablo Martinez played in those games. Totally different defence now
