Betting odds are correct at 20.43pm Wednesday 24th but suspect they will be tweaked by tomorrow morning after Southend win!!

Should win this one comfortably, but I'll be content with a scrappy 1-0 win.

Must win for us if we want to cling onto a chance of promotion; Oldham have the measure of us this season though, and with the expressive way they play and our rustiness I think they're strong favourites to take all three points.

That Quigley shot looked over the line in the highlights.

Yeah, I don't understand how it can hit the underside of the bar twice. Anyway, not to worry, nice not to rue bad luck this time, although most of it has been our own doing.

We're currently in a sticky patch and the longest winless streak under Ross Embleton which is 6 games, we've failed to score in 5 of those games.

One of my main criticisms of Embleton was he needed to make us harder to beat - Which he has, but now we don't create enough chances and don't have that threat we had 5 weeks ago. So its a fine balance.

I personally think we've been more boring than shit, we've just stopped creating chances. However, scoring 1 goal in 6 games and not winning is going to piss the fans off. A large number of our fans have never taken to Embleton because we've been so inconsistent but there aren't many of our fans who want him to stay after this recent slump, his interview after the game on Tuesday wasn't great, he blamed everyone but himself and had a dig at people who've questioned the formation he's stuck with - The sign of a manager losing it.

I think a loss on Saturday and Tuesday away at Grimsby will leave him on the brink and unable to turn it around. We've not won away from home in 4 months and lost 5 of our last 6 away games as well.

I'll be suprised if Tranmere don't beat us, I'm assuming all those Tranmere fans (not the ones on this forum) who unfairly criticised the appointment of Keith Hill on Twitter that I saw, have now crawled back into their internet holes so they don't have to admit their egos have been damaged?!

Most have thankfully. We have done well since he came here apart from the odd strange performance. That is normal at this level though. Thats part of the masochistic joy of supporting a team down here. You never really know what version of your team will turn up for a game, and you can mostly afford the cost of games when allowed to go. Mind you i wouldn't go to Anfield or Goodison Park if i had money to burn.

I think you were on a similar run of form prior to playing us earlier in season when you put in a faultless performance and ran out easy winners. Hope there’s no repeat this time around.
As for Keith Hill, I think the timing of his appointment shocked a lot of people, because under caretakers Dawes and Parkinson the team looked unbeatable and some fans thought they should be given a chance. That’s no excuse for all the abuse he and the chairman received on social media though.
Don’t think this game will be as free scoring as some of our recent games. 1-0 either way.

Pretty sure one of the Tranmere lot on here said they got them at 20/1 a few days ago...

I took them at 33/1 at the start of their run, I’ve just checked and it’s actually 16’s.

With the league being as tight as it is, they’re surely still incredible value

Anyway onto GTFC matters, I live just outside of Harrogate and I’m planning to potentially try gain some kind of vantage point to watch. I walked up on Saturday and I think it’s feesible.

Im hoping 3 points on Tuesday means players will play with a little more freedom as I’ve not seen a more nervy, mistake ridden performance than the one we witnessed.

Surprised at that, I used to work in Harrogate and remember the ground being in a fairly quiet/flat residential sort of area. Unless there's two grounds and I'm thinking of where Harrogate Railway play? Good luck though, hope you can get to watch it. Should have got yourself one of those Town gilets that Hursty always wears and try to walk in with a iPad as if you're an analyst.

Harrogate away when we're allowed back in has potential to be a great away day, shame we're having to wait.

Don't really know how our game will go.

We followed up 4 wins with a very flat performance on Tuesday. Our complete inability to fight back when we go behind means a lot of our games end after about 10 minutes. This will probably be a first goal wins like pretty much all of our games this season.

Walsall away for us. Watched a bit of their game last night and they looked tidy enough but never really looked threatening. Andy Cook will most likely start given he's inelligeble for Tuesday and should be right up for it given they're his old side. 0-2 win.

Crawley's forwards have forgotten how to score. Our defence is good for one goal a game (sorry Colchester) unless playing against ten men. I wonder what the score v Exeter will be?

4-0 to Crawley. Nichols and Nadersan with a brace each.

I'm sure you can correct me, but I don't think we've ever got a positive result at Glanford Park, even when playing well.

I certainly am not expecting anything at all - especially as we could go top and we've lost every time that's been possible this season.

Would much prefer to be playing Jolleys Barrow. Would be really nice to win, but I don't know if I see it.
Hope we start better than the away game.

You've only played here 9 times but your record isn't great. W1 D1 L7

All you need to do is score first, we don't do draws. If we score first, we may concede an equaliser but we will most likely win. If we concede first, its game over and we've lost.

Aye I took a detour on the way back from Knaresborough. It’s just behind the hospital and not far from Starbeck which, considering it’s a nice Town, sure is a dump.

Good odds Tranmere were the best we’ve played... that said Southend looked the worst EFL side I’ve ever seen slightly worse than Southend in October that we’ve faced and have since lost once and beaten a few of the top sides so can’t always judge on the odd game.

We've got more hope now than we did a week ago but I can't see us getting anything unfortunately, something like a 3-1 defeat.

Leyton Orient are in poor form and we’re coming off the back of a brilliant midweek result. What could possibly go wrong...
Orient were very well organised and hard to break down against us on Tuesday although they never looked like scoring themselves. I expect you to beat them with a solitary James Vaughan goal
