Aw come on man... clearly taking the piss.

Until maybe two weeks ago our league position still looked good on paper, in that if you didn't take form into account you'd think we had a solid chance of making the playoffs, but now it doesn't even look like that. Win our games in hand and we'd still be outside the playoffs. We only have one game in hand on anyone that matters, three on Cambridge and Stevenage which are both irrelevant.

The collapse has been astounding. 2nd of February we were 2nd in the league with four games in hand and only three points behind leaders Cambridge and three games in hand on a host of teams behind us. We'd been top before our season was interrupted. We had the best defence and the second best goal difference in the league and had more wins than anyone else (in fewer games). We were top of the form table with six wins from our last eight.

Since then we have played 13 games, won once, drawn three and lost nine, and dropped to 14th in the table, only have one game in hand on most teams but are nine points from the playoffs. Are bottom of the form table, only the bottom three have lost more games than us, have the leakiest defece in that period and now a goal difference of a measly +3

Well that's just such a defeatist attitude to have my friend.

If we can end up looking the much better side against the team who are now top, then there is every chance of us turning it around against even more inferior opposition in the coming games.

I mean even one of their own fans on here thought Cambridge were shit and we should have won yesterday.

In all fairness both Vale and Walsall were unlucky to lose late to Cambridge in a game that could of gone either way, and Scunthorpe beat them recently...

Cambridge are one of those teams that just find a way to win that gets promoted usually rather than spectacular.

Carlisle seem like us or Colchester just a few weeks later. It’s been a weird season with sides flying early on then going on huge runs with poor form and strugglers flying up the league.

Injuries due to the games no doubt playing a part maybe.

Have Cambridge actually named their stand The Paul Mullin stand?

That's a joke surely right?

Cambridge shouldn't be up there really, I mean they got extremely lucky in the summer with a few bargain signings like Mullin who is usually a bog standard L2 forward Tranmere reject but is playing the season of his life and old man Wes Hoolahan still being more than good enough, plus they signed Iredale who was fucking crap for us last season and also signed that Digby lad from Stevenage.

Who is there manager exactly? Some no name who no one had ever heard of who was part of their youth staff who has turned out to be effective. Everything is going their way I've not known a club to have so much luck in 1 season.

Hello people, I'm a Carlisle fan.

I think our bad form right now is just a blip and going by yesterdays game against Cambridge we were just so unlucky in the end and I'd say it was the better team who lost.

However with that good performance there's now hope we can at least get right back into the play off mix where we belong.

Keep the faith! There are still plenty of games left with 3 of them in hand on some teams.
Hello Carver.

Are they banned on here? I heard differently when we had that Notts County fan with two accounts.

I'm not!

Why do people think I'm this Carver fella?

Just cos I tell it like it is
An amazing coincidence then that in the 2 months Carver got banned in 2017 Redfox was posting and then once Carver’s ban was over Redfox stopped posting.
And then Carver takes a break from the forum and Redfox is back again.
Purely coincidental of course though. :bg:

The company that sponsor the stand have renamed it for the last 8 games of the season, only 4 of which are actually at home. So not as big a deal as it sounds.

So much space to pass it around Crawley... I was expecting them to be a lot better than this.

*touch wood*
I did try to tell you.

Yems' remedy for Crawley looking lightweight in midfield is to start Josh Wright.

First goal was unlucky. Horrible bounce in front of the keeper. The second I was really impressed with the way Wright watched the Carlisle player turn, think and stroll forward. Even more impressed with the way he watched the Carlisle player decide to have a shot. A normal professional would have made the mistake of closing him down but not our Josh. He's better than that !

We always have less possession, early on in the season we were doing really well without the ball, not so much lately, a couple of matches reffed by Trevor Kettle where he probably had more possession than either team, but no surprise that the game we take a 2-0 lead, we have 45% possession.

I wouldn’t mind us taking Omari Patrick next season. League one or league two he’s a decent player.
