Where players are from is of no relevance to me. I want Carlisle to win whether there are four players from Cumbria or four players from North Korea.
That's your preference.

I think it's something to be proud of. I was brought up on a diet of Jansen, Edmondson, Hopper, Prokas, Murray etc. It's long overdue seeing a few decent local lads represent the blue shirt.

Seeing a lad from Staveley represent Carlisle United and do a good job of it is smashing.

First tackle within 15 seconds he pulls a yellow out and then second tackle straight red.

Mental refereeing,

He had a poor spell here in a poor team so for some reason that's upset the Grimsby contingent who he's always been decent for. We've only stated what we saw from him over the course of six months.
Nope. It's nowt to do with Barrow. It's a dig at the Carlisle fans who decided during his first spell here without ever having seen him play that he wasn't as good as we said he is.

One of the best halves of football i’ve seen in ages.

If we win with this ref then fair play to us, i’ve seen some poor refs but he’s so unbelievably biased towards swindon it’s almost a circus act.

Misses pulls, pushes, kicks from behind when we’ve the ball, yet all of a sudden some soft southern jessy falls over and it’s instance a foul.

I trust he’ll be as biased towards us in the 2nd half

Weird how different fans see things. I’ve thought your lot have been niggly and moany at the ref all half. You’re right, though. What a brilliant 45 minutes. No idea how this will turn out.

I see the depleted Carlisle youth team are putting up a brave effort in their bid for survival, must be like the Spartan 300 in front of their goal to have a clean sheet.

Sounds like we can count ourselves unlucky not to be leading at the break. Bradford woeful and allowing us to play to our strengths. Saying that Bradford look dangerous when they eventually create something. Expect the 2nd half to be tougher for us. Once again this performance so far proves that Betsy really did screw us over with the squad we've got.

1-0 up at half time.

Really good start from us, bossed it for 20 minutes then Tranmere took over. Feel we’ll regret not taking advantage of that first 20 by getting a second goal.

The 5-4-1 formation might look negative, but with only one fit striker it’s all we could do really. Unlike Tuesday we have square pegs in square holes which helps. So depleted but doing our best.

Tranmere really started to get on top towards HT and feel their number 7 is going to have a big say in the second half. I’m expecting a backs to the wall 45+ minutes. Hopefully we can hold on but it’s going to be a tough task as we don’t have anything really at the other end to get us out.

Deservedly 1 up at HT at home to the most pointless club in existence.

There's a slight whiff of complacency about us today, should be 2 up with Drinan hitting the post from a great chance, wouldn't be surprised if this ended in a draw.

Looked leggy towards the end of that half. It's possible that our weak bench will cost us a win. Battling like warriors and the team are in it together. Good to see.

Carlisle well on top after their early goal, good finish but poor defending from Rovers. Need to up our game to get anything out of this.

You there? I'll take your word for it if so, but listening to Radio Cumbria there hasn't been any suggestion that Tranmere took over, heard a couple of chances for them but also more chances where we could have doubled our lead.

Complacency our biggest enemy by miles. Salford have been absolute wank. Drinan’s miss was abysmal; open goal from 10 yards. Got to be scoring.

Yeah. They’ve certainly took over possession. Maybe from behind the goal it seems more like we are on the back foot than we are. More last gasp tackles and one goal line clearance from Feeney. Where as first 20 minutes they barely got into the final third. Stretton was hurting them down their left but they seemed to tweak something and have started to nullify him. If we had Patrick day on the other side instead of Charters, we’d perhaps be getting more joy.

I couldn’t tell from this end of Stretton was offside for his goal or not but I’m assuming he was. But it looked like a bad fluffed miss from charters leading up to it. Should probably have scored himself.

Despite that though they should 100% have had a pen and it would’ve been a second yellow for Waterfall too.
Need to go for it second half and proper kill them off.

Thought we were for 20 minutes then you finished the half on top to be honest.

Phillips and livesey saw it as Charters should have taken the shot himself or at least played it to Stretton earlier

you’re 3-2 up so will just fall over at every chance and the ref will just go along with it.

If we get something from this fair play to us.
