We've had some odd refs this season and, funnily enough, the one versus Mansfield did seem to favour them (penalty was correct though). For instance only giving a yellow when a Mansfield player pushed the lino or nothing at all when a Mansfield player tried to beak our players ankle.

Sometimes they seem to like you others they seem to give everything against you. Just got to get on with it really.

The ref would be a scapegoat if we didn’t think we play poorly and were outplayed by Swindon on the day.

That’s what he means by the throwing, we gave it away from a throwing and end up conceding, the mistake by Hawkins for the first was laughable, you’re not getting the context right. He’s not saying it was due to a poor throw, it’s the fact losing possession from a throwing in the opposition half then conceding is criminal.

Regarding the second it’s convenient to pretend it did not happen from your perspective, especially if you are making the argument the referee did not have a stinker for Mansfield.

That’s my point, i can deal with incompetent refs (and there are many) but at least be neutral/fair it was almost laughable? i look forward to receiving a ref like that for mansfield in the near future.

his worst was the foul in the first half in the swindon half by the west stand, completely wiped out attacking down the left when in acres of space (why would you willingly go down in that situation) yet managed to spot a foul from 20 yards.

if we’ve let 5 in at home we’ve got to look ourselves and dust ourselves down but we never had a chance in honesty.

I hear the referee at Mansfield had a really good game yesterday, can anybody confirm?
As someone that was there I can confirm that if not having a bad game constitutes having a good game, then he had a good game.

Of course you had a chance at 1-0 and 2-1 and you blew it ‍♂️

Reckon next time Mansfield get that ref just concede the game and save everyone’s time.

Yep, and we also had two great chances before you got our third too. We definitely blew it. We are officially out of form, injuries playing a part but we’ve just not been good enough recently.

We all moan at refs but it is always our opinion against his and seen from a different angle. Sure they make mistakes but don't we all. Games today are played at a frantic pace, which makes it impossible to get every decision right but they give it as THEY see it. I used to get told that the only human not to make a mistake ended up nailed to a cross. Also, I find the statement "the ref was itching to send someone off" a bit ridiculous.

It's not so much who's out at the minute. It's been the constant churn as for every player that returns from injury another goes out again. Most of our starting lineup have already had at least one injury so far this season so a lot of them aren't 100% fit, we can't name a consistent line up and Simmo frequently has to change his plans at short notice.
Holy, Back, Armer, Mellish, Guy, Moxon, Gibson and Dennis have all started in 90% of our league games. It's not bad having that level of consistency in the starting eleven after a third of the season.

Granted a few of them might be playing with knocks but I'd hazard a guess that most players around the country carry some sort of issue with them throughout a season.

Where do we have to finish to win it, pal?

Take it all day when you consider what a step up this league is.

Be the first club eliminated from both playoff contention and the relegation battle. Orient won it last year, so it’s clearly a springboard to success.

12 points behind Orient who I was told I was crazy and knew nothing about football after suggesting they might finish above them.

Steady on, comrade. Orient have had an easy fixture list and we still need to prove ourselves against the top sides like Mansfield.

Mark Kitching back to you in Jan is odds on. We mutually agreed to cancel his contract the other week which was a little odd as he had been playing some games. We did sign Callum MacDdonald that same week though and he looks a much better player than Kitching so maybe both parties just knew the writing was on the wall.

I believe he can't sign for a FL team now because he wasn't a free agent when the window shut or something like that rules wise? So the fact he hasn't gone to someone in the NL yet, I reckon he's nailed on for you if the rumour is you've got some lined up. Ex player and from round your way. Good left back, decent left wing back, shaky LCB. He looked quality in the NL first season as a LWB but got a bad back injury and has lost a bit of pace since I think which has stopped him from looking good there IMO. Bad back injuries are bad ones to get, hard to get rid of 100% and effects your whole body even if you're back "fit".
Are you getting Calum Macdonald on a longer deal then? Good player but wouldn't re-sign for us as had hopes of playing at a higher level.

Quite possibly the weakest looking Carlisle United bench I’ve ever seen.

The starting lineup doesn’t look much better either. Weak weak weak. So much so that Grimsby have rested Anthony Glennon.

Amending my prediction from 2-0 to a 4-0 defeat.

Tranmere away.

This game has come at completely the wrong time for us. We have 9 out injured plus 2 suspended. A lot of them key players too. Add that to the fact that we’re coming into this off 3 successive defeats, it’s really not ideal.
Prediction: Tranmere 4-0 Carlisle

Sorry, I'll have to try harder. The problem is, we all(including me} remember the questionable decisions that go against us but not the ones when we benefit.

Not sure tbh, signed until January initially, he's possibly still looking for something better if he turned down a deal with you.

He looks good to me, not an explosive wing back but very tidy and composed, always an option. He's an improvement on what we had so hopefully we can at least keep him until seasons end at least.

It's a strange one because despite him being pretty good I think he was maybe a bit ambitious thinking L1 clubs were going to be hotting up his agents phone and offering big deals.

We can offer a decent wage which may tempt him to stay with us, we'll see.

I’d also like to find the quote where who needs mourinho was told specially he knows nothing about football?

More nonsense.

Though in fairness i didn’t (and i don’t think many did) expect orient and stevenage (especially) to still be top 2, crazy stuff!

He was at Blackpool before us, but when they got into the Championship, initially loaned then let us sign him permanently. Rumoured he had a trial with Derby lined up, but that fell through with the takeover. He probably is better as an orthodox left-back, but ok as a wing-back. Will be an interesting contest against Dacres-Cogley on Tuesday night.

Our board and investers have heavily invested in Wellens and his coaching staff, as well as investing into the playing squad. Wellens isn't being paid pennies to be here shall we say.

We've also paid money to sign George Moncur and Theo Archibald pernamently and all of our out of contract players whom were offered new contracts in the summer stayed on including Tom James who is another good player and Adam Thompson who is a very reliable centre half who's got promotions before and is good in the dressing room - similar to what Conor Coady is like shall we say.

Then there is the loan market, signing Idris El-Mizouni on loan for a season from Ipswich has been a real coup as he is too good to be playing at this level, as well as signing Charlie Kelman from QPR - He's not the most prolific striker but he is quick and works very hard for the team. These two won't be here on the cheap as both should really be playing higher.

We have 2 players for every position, if one player goes down then we have players who can fit right in - our academy players Ruel Sotiriou, Shad Ogie and Jayden Sweeney are good examples of this of players who now have enough experience to come in and do a job. Central Midfield probably the exception where its not exactly like for like and we also have 3 keepers to call upon, but Vigs will always be first choice there.

We've helped balance the books by selling one of our youngsters Hector Kyprianou to Peterborough for around £300k.

This isn't I guess a major suprise to myself and most Orient fans that we are in the mix, we know our owners have put money into the squad and have targeted having a go at promotion.

We just don't go around waving our cocks out about it.

Out of interest did you know it was the same ref we had at FG last season who sent laps off for the challenge where he didn’t touch the player?

L£yton Ori£nt then is it?

Didn't really know that. Should be a formality then if some of the wages rumoured are true. Wellens landed on his feet with that job.

Yep, I've just entered this into the shared tracker and it's telling me that the title is Orient's to lose now and anything less than an auto spot will be a failure for Wellens' and his tippy tappy brand of aesthetically pleasing football.

Excel spreadsheet had them struggling pal due to E10rifle getting access to the password. Trying to pull the wool over our eyes.

Also had us two struggling due to the gigantic step up from NL to L2.

I've amended it as chilled and content mid table monsters.
