McClean is such a dickhead, can't believe the ref bottled it and didn't send him off in the first half

Sometimes you leave a football match, wondering how on earth you didn't just win but by a massive score. Was like men versus boys out there today and completely outclassed Bolton. Could easily have been 5+ to nil well before they scored from the only chance they created all game. Some poor finishing and trying to walk the ball on the net cost us. Not sure why exactly the Keane goal after 3 minutes was ruled out either.

Boltons only tactic was diving. That Dapo for the third game against us this season was out of his depth and just kept diving every time he went near McClean, a yellow that was never was given early on, after Dapo threw himself down and produced a bizarre sound. That dive infront of us in first half injury time, was beyond pathetic.

We bullied the weak Santos who had an absolutely awful 90 minutes and just couldn't stay stood up spent most the game lying on the floor. So frustrating not have picked up the deserved 3 points. Play like that for the rest of the season and we win the league.

Absolutely cowardly shithouse challenge in the 95th minute from Bolton player, could be a very long term injury and no free kick was awarded, never mind a red!

Wigan only had one shot on target , even the Wigan commentators thought McClean should have been sent off, Bolton could and should have won that game, once Kachunga was subbed it was all Bolton. Wigan did boss the first half but were toothless, the challenge in the 95th minute was not even a foul, that's why a freekick wasn't awarded

Hahaha please tell me you are taking the piss? Our shooting was terrible which is why we didn't have more on target. The amount of times we got in a goal scoring position and wasted it was very frustrating. By half time we should have had the game wrapped up.

Bolton had 1 chance all game, the goal.

McCleans yellow was never a yellow. Santos did 2 far more cynical challenges and didn't receive a yellow at all before that. Two soft fouls, with 1 debatable do not constitute a red card, every soft fool getting a yellow would be crazy.

That challenge was, late, high and with force, if you don't think that was even a free kick but McClean producing minimal contact with Dapo was a yellow then wow.

The injury to Baldock a few weeks ago is really starting to cost us. Chances falling to Gavin Whyte aren’t being converted (as good a player as he is), it’s a real weakness. Matty Taylor doesn’t look quite so effective either.

We could and should have come away with something. Once Plymouth scored, they had a really strong spell for 15-20 minutes and we looked unable to counter.

Mike Cooper is excellent by the way. He made a couple of excellent stops, comfortable on the ball and really good distribution.

We've still never lost to Ipswich Town in a league fixture... the mighty U's march on at Portman Rd.

Well, for the first time in a long while there is some relief on my face. Significantly 2nd half subs, Pilkington and Harrison both scored and Dan batty came on as well. Thanks to late goals from the Owls and Black Cats Fleetwood are now in their highest position for months -but still deep in the proverbial stuff

Nonetheless a fine win today which gives us a fighting chance . 3 successive home games coming up so our destiny is very much in our own hands

Btw Credit to Morecambe for an excellent win today

Always funny to see Ipswich lose after their very confident fan base on here (and rightly so with the squad they have). That's defo Ipswich out of the race for promotion until next season!

Good win for us at Charlton, felt confident after we went 1-0 up, then Charlton go down to 10 men and we didn't capitalise. Instead we go down to 10 in the 2nd half and you expect Charlton to come strong. Vital goal from Scully in the final 10 for us to limp over the line.

Well that was a throughly enjoyable and deserved win, Ipswich huffed and puffed but created very little other passing it from side to side and once we scored I was confident we’d see it out.

Bonner got his tactics spot on and the players put a quality shift in especially knibbs who worked his absolute balls off and won the free kick from which we scored.

Looking forward to next season already with phish coming down and hopefully Northampton coming up along with ipswich who aren’t going anywhere, hopefully next season they won’t be as cock sure.

Up the u’s.

They will. The entitlement on TWTD is awsome. They have 20000+ crowds so of couse they should win. :gr:

A pretty routine 2 - 0 victory against an inform Shrews side. We're on a great run, and keeping the two above us under pressure.

Anyway, a good win for us against a Shrewsbury that's been on the up recently. I'm a little relieved as I really thought this match could be a banana skin. 1 point off top but having played more. Still looking a real possibility to overtake Rotherham.

Written before I'd read woburns or I wouldn't have bothered.

You haven’t been laughing for a while then, first loss since January

But we knew there was only a small chance of play offs when McKenna came in, 10 points behind the play off group, who’ve played a game less. The fact we’ve managed to stay within a glimmer of hope with 6 games to go, with a near on 2 points a game record in 18 games is incredible and gives confidence in McKenna for next season!

26,500 there today (2,000 Cambridge). They fans are coming back now Evans is gone!

Worst we’ve played under McKenna but we move on.

With all due respect, I often look at other teams forums when play them and they more often than not say how genuine the Town fans come across.

You get one thread heading that makes us look entitled but if you go in and read it, a lot of the replies down vote the post and tell them they’re wrong.

Problem is, fans don’t tend to see past the entitled threads on a forum.

More than happy with our time under Mckenna - personally feel the season has been over long before today though. With further strengthening & budget confirmed for the off season I'm confident he will deliver us autos next season.

Playoff battle still looks like it's going to the wire for the rest of you, will watch with interest as a neutral.

Tongue in cheek mate, don't take it personally. Teams fan forums are toxic when they lose and obviously the greatest team in the division (tm Bolton) when they win.

First double of the season that I certainly see coming when I saw the team at 2pm, 6 changes from last week. It worked even after our best to make it difficult for ourselves!

You should change your user name to Rsoul after those comments, you played us off the park for 25 minutes scored a soft goal, and other than Mclean wasting a chance never troubled our keeper, we played without both our wing backs and it took us a while to work you out. Santos was emmense yet again but your to biased to see that, McClean should have walked even your fans thought that, we scored a great header and Sadlier on the back post could have given us the win in extra time. a game of two halves and a fair result. As for the sending off look how Mclean reacts he instantly puts his head in his hands he knew he was walking, then the ref got involved. If it was any other team than Bolton you would saying the same.

Now I can see why Evatt and Bolton fans think you are the best in the league. You were woeful today and offered nothing to the game yet you believe you played well is quite incredible. You had the one chance all game. Neither side came close to scoring in injury time, most of it was spent with injuries and subs and taking thrown ins that had no effect. There were no chances. 25 minutes? You were on the ropes until the half time whistle went, second half you just passing it around defence and midfield to beef up possession % without getting near our box. We kept robbing possession and countering to create almost all the opportunities in the second half.

McClean should have been booked on the verge of half time but the one he got booked from was a howler from the referee. Two wrongs made a right as he got 1 yellow card which was overall the right number.

Santos spent more time passing to Wigan players than Bolton and kept falling over when a physical player came near him. Very clumsy display your other two centre half's were much better. Aimson was head and shoulders above Santos.

Santos got booked for violent conduct after raising his arms. Having somehow escaped a yellow first half then he did this on a yellow.

There are many better teams to have come to the DW than Bolton this season. A few teams in the relegation fight created more chances than you.

You must admit you were awful today, another tiny home crowd, not many clubs in England would get smaller crowds than you with a stadium your size at the top of this league, will these owners write off millions like the last lot when they realise you are not a big club in a small town as they have stated ?

You flog your season tickets for the same price as a happy meal then come along here and wave your cock about it you sad prick. 91 messages on here and I reckon about 81 of them have been about us. You are definitely bald and fat with a massive head considering we live in it rent free. Run along and get back to celebrating your 1-1 draw!

I just don't understand why the Bolton fans can't admit to their team playing badly for once, seemingly intent on believing every time they play a match they are peak Brazil. I expected a lot from Bolton today, considering their good form since January and decent signings but they just simply were second best today. We've won a few games at home this season, were based on the game we didn't really merit the win but that's football for you, other games we have been on top but drawn. The 4 home games we lost, the opposition simply played better in each. Today's game reminded me of our 1-1 at the Reebok back in 2014, were Bolton were the better side from the off and won every second ball and created the better chances throughout, could easily have gone 4 up and then we had 1 decent ball in late on that Powell smashed home and we robbed a point and nearly got 3 with a penalty miss. Today the roles from that game were reversed.

So now move onto crowds. Since when did crowds win you stuff? It's all about what happens on the pitch. Our previous owners did not write millions off, you well know that.

Given Bolton still owe around 30m in previous debt agreements and made a loss last season and likely this season I am not sure you are in a position to judge other teams finances.

Yes he should have been sent off and yes you were worthy of your precious point. But it doesn't change the fact that YOU are a prize knob. Not the other Bolton lot on here, they seem sound. You though, are a prize twat.
