To be honest it's turned into a poor season (in the league) overall. The last few months have been shite, the two in charge have been absolutely incapable of motivating the players. I really question the authority these blokes have in that changing room

Didn't see the game, won't watch next week either.

For all this social media shite and how it's all UNITED this and fans together bollocks fact is we couldn't beat an already relegated team who get whopped every week, with 5 teenagers in it, the keeper being a 17 year old and another doing his GCSE's this year, that's 16 years old FFS.

The pair of them don't have it, I'm calling it now, I was warming up to them but this sheer drop off a cliff form is very worrying, Lee seems like an honest, decent bloke but he's like a fan that's been chucked in the deep end and Nelson is profoundly hopeless in any management position as already proved at Blyth and continuing to prove here, the pair of them stand there, arms crossed side by side doing fuck all mid match, not everyone is a screamer or shouter to get points across, but when you're team's playing shite and the players look to the side line for instruction we have two statues stood there.

FWIW there's no way either will get the boot, I think they'll both be here next season and unless there's some big investment I think we're gonna struggle with these in charge.

Don't disagree with any of that

One thing this team doesnt do is give up, even when not playing well.
Not many teams have beaten Rochdale at Rochdale, even better considering we were 2 down.
Still not in our hands at all though, need some favours...
Did Barton celebrate like he'd won the world cup again?

Jesus. I could understand if you'd just been promoted but just why?
Why do you care about their celebrations? The fact you've actively searched this out shows you care far too much.

Just enjoying themselves, will be a great clip to use though if they don't end up going up
We have been there done that. Invaded the pitch v Wycombe then got relegated to the conference the following week.
It was just a relief today tbh

Not sure what's happening to our supposed captain Ollie Banks since he signed a new contract and/or Rooney rejoined but he's an absolute shadow of by far the best player we had at the start of the season. He half-arsed a tackle in the lead up to Swindon's winner (not the first time in recent weeks) and his teammates looked furious, Farman and Brough in particular. I wouldn't be giving the armband to him again next season.

It came up on Facebook. Just strange don't you think? Talk about premature.
On this occasion I will actually defend Barton. Fans stayed mostly in the stands at first but started pouring on after for some reason - which I don’t like. I don’t agree with going on the pitch of an opposing team, especially when we haven’t done anything yet.

Fans went up to him celebrating and he shook hands etc and they lifted him up on their shoulders. On camera you could clearly see him pointing out there was 1 more game left, kept trying to calm them down - eventually though he kinda just gave in and tapped his chest etc.

What he did at your place as well, there was nothing wrong with it. He went up to the away fans and did a fist pump where we cheered with every pump. He does this for most wins, Klopp seems to do it most games. DC used to do it, sometimes GC too.

I get a lot of people don’t like Barton, as a person I don’t. However you’re looking/picking at something that just isn’t there on this occasion

Did what we had to do yesterday. We weren't quite as good as we were against FGR but still showed more intensity than a lot of times at home this season. Barrow were no mugs and looked to have sneaked a point but Louis Reed who was immense yesterday smashed in the winner.

Looking forward to Walsall next week now.

Bit of a turnaround from your fans telling him to GTF earlier this season. Say what you like about the man, he's done a fine job to turn it around.

Onto the game, well what can I say? It never even crossed my mind that we wouldn’t be in the play offs the last few weeks, not until half time yesterday anyway. All results going the wrong way and somehow we’re suddenly out of the play offs.

We were pretty poor and defensively it was by far our worst performance of the season. Credit to Rochdale though, I thought they were very good and certainly not at the beach. Last goal was definitely onside looking at the replay, but I do wonder how their 2nd wasn’t offside (can’t see on camera though) and their 3rd was definitely a foul.

Unfortunately the red was off camera but Barton confirmed the throat grab, so stupid. That’s him gone for the season, at best we might get him back for the PO final, assuming we make it.

Over to you Mansfield/Vale, clearly there’s no pressure, right?

In mid December we were 16th after losing 2-1 to vale. Since then I think we’ve conceded something like 6/7 goals at home. He’s done a superb job tbf to him.

Have to say I’m impressed with your comeback as well, thought you were out of it a few weeks ago.

Can you imagine a Rovers Vs Swindon play off final? A near sell out Wembley in L2 - it would be horrible

Our problem all season has been at home, we've been lethargic and before FGR had only 7 wins, a pathetic record. Against FGR and Barrow the crowd and the players have added passion and intensity and its worked. At times we play some great stuff but we are so flimsy when it comes to defending set pieces. (especially free kicks)

Reed and Payne have been class recently and have shown how important they are. Josh Davison is often clumsy on the ball but you can't fault his work rate and he scores goals. Mckirdy is what he is, maverick - he wasn't great yesterday.

Gas v Swindon final would be hell.

Really do need Brizzle to get 3rd spot, which I can't see happening unfortunately. Northampton will probably beat Barrow, but if it does happen, and then Swindon win the PO's.

Can you imagine how good L1 will be? Swindon Oxford, Rovers Cheltenham, Exeter Plymouth & I suppose FGR.

Just a shame Yeovil & Torquay are doing shite, otherwise it would be the full shabang

God I fucking hope we turn up tomorrow, the thought of losing and not having a chance at top 3 on the last day is bad enough but if we lose there's every chance we'll drop out the top 7 all together next week.

Huge game that one, Salford need the win to keep the play off hopes alive.

Could go either way that one. If you shackle Smith you've got a chance. Everything they do goes through him.

I also noticed that hed only been on the pitch for 5 minutes and was arguing with team mates. Bit of a Billy big bollocks?
