That is a tough start on paper. However, you just never know how the first few games are going to go as a season kicks off.

Hopefully you have better joy on your travels than your home game in that trio of games
It's true, sometimes better to play the fancied teams early doors.

Aguiar, it's Aguiar.

A lot of fans are saying Williams and Gladwin can't play in the same team but I note you have got them in your line-up

Bryn

Brennan, Macdonald, Clayton

Shade, Gladwin, Reed, Williams, Devine

McKirdy, Adeloye

Bench: Ward, Hutton, Baudry, Iandolo, Khan, Darcy & Wakeling

That said, I can't see it being much different from what you've posted. Perhaps Hutton for Devine and Darcy/Khan for Gladwin. No space on the bench for Harries then? (he's already taken a lot of stick for his pre-season performances which I think is incredibly harsh)
Williams & Gladwin can play in the same team and will do on the vast majority of games this season. Cannot see Hutton at left back as he was pretty ropey there last week. He's right footed and should play at right back. Re Harries. I'm sure he will get plenty of game time this season its just that I see others in the pecking order that are ahead of him. I, unlike the majority who have only heard reports about him, have seen him on 2 or 3 occasions in pre-season and whilst he wasnt fantastic am prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt

If i had to bet a tenner id say it'll be Harries and Hutton over Clayton and Devine. Maybe Darcy or Khan instead of Gladwin too. Not long to wait to find out in any case.

We played Tenerife's B team on the 23rd I think. The yoots also played Grimsby Borough under the Grimsby Town banner on the 26th. We've probably not had as many minutes in our legs as the rest of the division but we've also had about 3 weeks less to prepare than the rest of the division so I'm fine with that, better than cramming in too much. We'll be fit, ready and well up for tomorrow. Players and fans that is.

Hartlepool had a short window too last season and didn't affect their start and tbh I doubt it will have any bearing on yours either.

Will be a close game, expect us to play it out from the back and probably make at least one or two mess ups doing so.

We've not kept a clean sheet in pre season, but didn't have a settled backline.

The one thing that annoys me the most about us is in front of goal, we can be too wasteful at times and not clinical enough. Which has come back to bite us, thats been more down to the players than Wellens.

I can see a draw tbh. Whoever wins will be by one goal and probably by a mistake or moment of quality.

If anything it helped as the players were still largely match fit and we had a good start, albeit with a favourable set of fixtures to start the season off.

We did end the season with one win in 12 and I think it had caught up with us a bit. Believe Harrogate had a similar issue the year before us.

As there isn’t a club I particularly dislike this season, I’ll wish everyone good luck and may the shithousers among us come out on top!

Never taken to Stevenage and with Evans in charge they are my club to definitely dislike this season. Good luck to all other clubs and fans except when you play us of course

Certainly quality wise the game of the day is salford vs mansfield. Be interesting to see how we both face off so early in the season

Still, happy football christmas everyone, especially for stockport fans who’ve waited a decade or so to play er, barrow!

I don’t like stevenage for what happened to macc really, and the season before.

Plus they’re southern and pointless.

They have no fans and the towns a shithole

the ground is small, soulless and has nothing around it

And then there’s steve evans

Yeah, fuck off stevenage

Genuinely looking forward to the game/season , new era for us, very much going into the unknown but I think that works in our favour. I'm relatively positive about our chances which is unusual for me. Good size squad, competition in every area. Think we might surprise a few...saying that we'll get dicked 3-0 today and I'll end up thinking we're going down again.

Either way the new manager and team need to be given a chance. The expectation from inside the club appears to be a top half finish, if we're not near that but not in imminent danger, time needs to be given and we notoriously don't give much of that. UTP

Yep very curious to see us in a competitive game with so many new signings in the squad, could be 9 debut's today, hope we put up more of a fight away from home this season, last year we were so feeble on our travels, as soon as we conceded the first goal it was basically game over.

Personally not gonna judge the team until about 10-12 games in, see were we stand after them.

This manager takes no prisoners, And i believe the players will have the same mindset.
If opposition players have the same mentality as posters on here (no disrespect) then
We may well be underestimated, As most have us in the bottom 2.

Its a long old season, With some already thinking they just have to turn up
Against certain opposition.

Good luck to ALL, Except when we meet.
Enjoy the show and let battle commence.

I’m especially looking forward to Mansfield at the CG. We’ll get outplayed, they’ll create numerous chances and we’ll win!

That’s just how it goes.

Stevenage can’t generate enough fucks for me to give one.

It will interesting to see how the train strike affects people's journeys (to cheer Devon Lad up I support the action).

Lots of new players around for Crawley. New way of playing. New manager. Can see the same results coming.

Good luck to all the teams for the season.

Attack, attack, attack!

This is the main thing for me, as much as these players are unproven. As long as the squad shows more fight when things are against us I’ll be happy. Too many times last season we went one down, especially on our travels and we fell apart, looked panicked, no game plan and teams went through us like a finger through cheap toilet roll.

Impressed by the managers no nonsense approach so far and hope we surprise a few.

Is that a jibe at Devon Lad, or have I missed something? He's as Tory as they come. Personally fully support them but also annoying that it's happening on the 13th now as I have a train ticket to Rochdale and might not be able to get there.

Snide jibe at Devon Lad.

I'm an ex bog cleaner, guard, train driver and signalman on BR so I am supporting my old mates.

Yeah all the best fellow league 2 fans. Now Exeter have gone there doesn't appear to be any trolls designed to irritate and there is a good selection of fans from all clubs in the division excluding Salford, Stevenage and Harrogate. (Colchester have only 1 but he's a good egg)

I wonder how many posts after the games today will blame officials for inadequacies. Not long to wait now.

Is Charles Breakspear officiating anywhere? One set of fans there will be irate.

Turnbull and Davies both missing at the back, but we’re still strong there.

Mumbongo not yet match fit but he’s backup anyway.

Long term injuries to Morris and Jolley.

Still a very strong starting 11. Looking forward to it.

Ellis Taylor the only difference in my predicted side, Hamilton the only real attacking threat from the bench, 6 subs as well, we can register 7 can't we?
Aye, guessing Mayonnaise can’t play due to playing his parent club, and not sure we have anyone else haha.
