Way to fuck that one up Vale. Should never have been close enough to let them level it up at the end. Criminal to do that at the end as well.

Should of been out of sight and even then why the hell didn’t Dan Jones just nod home right at the end rather than put it back across. Absolute farce to not win that. Tough run of games now so doesn’t look to positive. If we can’t bury them today we’re going to be in for a struggle.

What a result.

2-0 down away at Derby at Half time.

End up winning 3-2 with a 90th minute winner.

Sam Cosgrove with a brace off the bench.

Delighted for the 2.3k + travelling fans, bet it was mental in that away end!

We were much the better side for large periods today but that Rak-Sakyi looks one hell of a player. He singled handedly caused more problems for us than the other 10 you had on the pitch combined.

Exactly, he’s our only threat. We don’t create anything, even todays goal was a gift.

Don’t even get me started on the defence, shambolic for all 3 but that last one was something else.

Bolton much the better side but we really don’t do ourselves any favours.

I’ve seen enough with Garrity now, he needs to be dropped. I also don’t understand why take off Tom Pett who was probably the best player on the pitch. Self inflicted wound today without question.

We passed it around very nicely at times and created some chances, but Shrewsbury were more streetwise and clinical. Ended up being a pretty limp 2-0 defeat in the end, which is disappointing really. 3 defeats out of 3 at home in the league so far, obviously an area that needs improving. The new lads looked decent although you can tell they are still inexperienced in mens football.

Accrington on Tuesday is looking like a game we need something from as Peterborough away next week looks a bit daunting the way we’re defending.

Agreed, he looked class against us.

We did well to hang on for a battling away point having been down to 10 men for 81 minutes, but that’s McCleary out for 3 games for a straight red - so dumb.

4 of our 5 points so far have been completely undeserved, never say no to a last minute equaliser though. 2 in 2 for Charlie Brown, maybe he'll come good after all.

Tbf I did wonder live if it had hit his hand but there wasn’t really a huge appeal. Same linesman also missed the ball going out of play twice and played on.

It probably wouldn’t have made any difference but you never know, you equalising almost straight away definitely gave you momentum. If we had held the lead for longer who knows how it may have panned out.

End of the day, it was given and we were second best from there on in so is what it is.

Fair play to you, if a team is allowed to hang around in a game like that it only takes one chance. We’ve had a habit of doing that going back several years though. There was a game at Rochdale last season where we missed countless chances then switched off in stoppage time and cost us 2 points. It’s just a very Vale thing to do.

We seem to be battling for points away from home without playing particularly well - riding our luck and then taking our chances. I'll take that away from home.

We really need to start playing properly at Whaddon Road though.

Not if I’ve got anything to do with it they won’t. And all the fans too. Only a few of the “I still remember the non league days and it was worse then” brigade, the rest of us would drive the dick to sky hq for his other job. ( and he’s no good at that either )

That’s as straight forward afternoon I’ve seen at the abbey for some time. We were always in control once we went ahead.

Lincoln couldn’t live with our front 3 in the first 45 mins with Tracey joining in as well.

I understand Lincoln were missing a lot of regulars players and you could see that today as they were very poor on and off the ball.

Four wins from four at the fortress which is our home again. Top of the table clash away to Ipswich next week.

Should have won, but didn't. Positives were Mipo's first goal for us and he looks decent, Forrester looks some player and Wilson got his first few minutes this season. We missed too many chances though especially the header at the end which had goal written all over it. Garrity messed up a great chance with Mipo standing waiting unmarked to tap it in. Cheltenham did't really deserve anything or trouble us much, but we gifted them a point by switching off right at the end.

Its a learning process I guess, but harder games are on the horizon and we need to get points in the bag.

We got completely dominated in every department from 1st Minute until the last.
Just Thankful that our goal difference didn't take a bigger hit than it did, could have easily been 4 or 5.
We were awful but that's probably taking away from their Performance.
Well played Barnsley.

Delighted with that. Exactly the sort of game we’d drop points in every season since we came down. Four away wins from four. Top of the league. Happy days.

I think we really need to focus on getting a settled side now. It’s hard to get players to build up understandings given we have yet to name the same team twice in a row. I agree with you on Mipo, very raw but got the attributes that make you think he can have a good career.

Feels weird to have lost every home game yet we're doing reasonably well away!

Bolton at home next week, another tough one.

Holy shit. Can’t wait for us to play Barnsley in that case…

It’s just frustrating and that today sums up our season… in the last 4 games we’ve defended well enough to a point to concede only 5 real chances… but all 5 have ended up in the net!

Not sure the answer but we need to grow up quick, this is the big boy league and now we are under big pressure to win one of the next couple of away games.

Got to be the most furious I have heard Clarke after the game too! He was absolutely seething and rightly so. He went nuts at half time by the sounds of it and wouldn’t repeat the word he used to the players at full time.

So so frustrating it really is.

Comforting to hear Vale are finding it tough so far too at least, teams seem to be a lot more clinical at this level.

Well deserved point for Chairboys, playing for 80 minutes with 10 men. No good having all that possession if you can't get shots on goal, their goalie never really troubled. Warrington looks absolute class and he will figure strongly going forward, so the draws keep coming, not losing but not winning. Ainsworth marshalled his troops well and certainly came out top against Brown. Never known us draw so many games...

I’m not comforted at all! We are down with Burchnill as Manager!

He just doesn’t learn or seem to have any Plan B whatsoever!

We will be well adrift by Christmas with him in charge!

That was a special performance and a thoroughly deserved win. Thought we were the better team all game and deserved to go in at least level, yet found ourselves 2-0 down at half time.

Brilliant fight back in the second half as Derby appeared to lose their way. The subs Schuey made were excellent as shows the real change between this season and last - some real quality and depth in the squad now.

Cosgrove with a brace off the bench appears to have done more for us in 20 minutes than in his other spells in this league. Admittedly the first looked offside.

Jubilant scenes for the huge green army following in the away end. Fantastic!

Probably add in Bristol Rovers too. It's certainly been an eye opener how one mistake can cost you. We've largely been competitive with one exception (and that was a team who came up with us) but you just can't afford to switch off or especially in our case be slack in possession.

We're shit and we're going down
I think we are shitter than you...at least we won't have to go a season without playing each other...if we both go down!

Seriously though it is times like this that I wish our club was being run by people who know something about football, but sadly it isn't...I know that people have criticised us in the past for being Dale's vanity project but I am getting to the stage where I seriously wish he would do one and hand over the club to someone who is going to put football as the priority and not anything else, no matter how well intentioned. Don't even get me started on his idea that flying the Palestinian flag over the ground is a good thing...the bloke is an utter canute!
