Referee been a bit of bellend. Why was our goal disallowed when we hit the woodwork twice? Did not get a great view. Great second goal.
There was a foul. Fair play Mansfield we’re a yard quicker and outplayed us, no argument the best team on the day won

Diabolical from us today. The third poor league performance in a row. If anything today was even worse against a team bottom of the league. The lack of quality in our squad couldn’t be more obvious.

If alarm bells weren’t ringing before, they surely are now, even for Carver if he watched that. It’s going to be a long hard season.

Very tight game between us and Tranmere with Paul Smyth being the difference, he put the cross in for our first goal and scored the second with a well taken finish.

Not alot in the game, both sides cancelled each other out for long periods. Tranmere had more chances but didn't feel like they was going to take them. One proper save from either keeper all game was made by Vigs in the second half.

We wasn't as good as we have been so far this season, but our game management is very good when we take the lead. We slow the game down and generally waste alot of time and today Tranmeres players got wound up by it, particularly Niall Byrne.

A mention to the Tranmere number 26 who came on, there is no record of him so must be a youngster. Not sure of his natural position but he came on and played on the right of a back 3 and had a stinker for the final 20mins he was on and looked quite clumsy. I thought the switch to a back 3 for Tranmere didn't improve them.

I thought Tranmere were ok, hard to beat but didn't look like scoring. Know they have injuries which won't be helping them. Their players at times during the game seemed to get frustrated with each other alot.

The referee was a proper c*** though - someone taken ill in the crowd and he refused to stop the game despite both sets of fans telling him to do so. Scum.

I was unsure of Harry Lewis when we signed him. He hadn't played much football in the last couple of years, but...he's probably the best goalkeeper we've had since Jordan Pickford perhaps. He made some incredible saves today. But yeah, on the game itself, we were second best for probably 80 minutes of that. Too late to second balls, really poor control with the ball getting caught under feet a lot, passes missing their man, and going straight out of play. In my opinion, it's the weakest performance of the season, but we've shown that we've learned from previous games and managed to hold on for a win. Really pleasing is that. Really happy for Jake Young scoring a worldie. Could be a real player for us.

Walsall are the best team we've faced this season so far. Looked to have quality in a lot of positions. Just came up against a goalkeeper who's way too good for League Two. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Where do the EFL keep finding these absolute morons? Apalling is that. Prick.

Meh, we were always gonna come unstuck at some point. The only worry I have is we are conceding some poor goals.

1-1 was fair on reflection, crap second half, paying the price for not signing a centre forward, had two attacking mids up top.
2 Attacking mids, I take one of those was Hastie who came onto the pitch and jogged the game out.
As well as fluffing a gilt edged chance to finish the game off, He ought to be ashamed to call himself
A Pro.

2nd half tactic from us was to constantly waste time, Hence 6mins stoppage which the ref got right.

Hartley has said after the game we finished with no strikers on the pitch.
There was one sat behind him (gray), But no he had to play HIS golden boy.
Which may cost him his job, His decision.

I,ve seen each game this season and Colchester were by FAR the worst we have played
The win was there for the taking.

Weird game Cas. After 40 mins, Walsall should have been 3 up. After 44 mins we were 2 up and could have been 5 up after 51 mins. As you say though, they outplayed for most of the game. Credit us for 2 class goals though.

They said on the Rovers commentary that the guidance to referees in the Prem, so presumably EFL was not to stop games for medical issues off the field of play. If correct then it’s the EFL rather than the referee, who are at fault.

We've only lost to top of the table Orient and that was a penalty and a worldie. We had the bettter chances in our home draws against Noton and Sutton, hammered Crewe and gave Forest a really good game. My hiope of at least not being involved in a relegation battle looks decidedly pessismistic now. I'm not sure how likely we are to blow anyone away but we'll be more than alright

From the commentary it sounded as if Rovers had as many chances as Orient but rarely tested your keeper, whereas the Os usually looked dangerous in attack.

The no 26 was Simeu the loanee central defender from Southampton. Carlisle fans reckon he’s decent so hopefully will settle in time.

Very weird indeed. Which were our two chances just after halftime? I remember Platt having a free header but don't remember the other. Harratt should have buried his chance at the end too.

Wellens has said in his post match interview that the EFL have apparently told all refs that the game must continue this season if someone in the crowd is taken ill.

What a proper bunch of scumbags they are if thats the case. Totally the wrong attitude to have, I'm sure if one of their staff members needed medical attention they'd have the game stopped then.

Good first half for us. Average second half. Deserved to win but needed to make it count more. Never know at 1-0 and I thought Wimbledon had a very good shout for a penalty turned away 5 minutes from the end.

They probably felt the same about us if we're being honest, two rotten teams who'll both be down and around the hairy arse end of the league this season.

Both us and Colchester are in it the long haul. Game of two halves where one side were shite in each.

First half Colchester were dreadful and despite not looking that good ourselves we were pretty comfortable. Second half though, another story. No idea what he said at half time but I think it's obvious which manager got through. They were braver and had a go whereas we retreated and retreated and retreated again. It's either fitness, tactics or both. The manager is accountable for each.

Niang and Sylla did well I thought, McDonald alright, Meyanese and Lacey fine. Hamilton, Murray, Tumilty and Paterson shouldn't be near a game at this level.

We won't get a better opportunity to win an away game than that so it's disapointing but not surprising we weren't good enough to do so.

Platt had the free header then we had 2 shots from good positions, think it was Chapman and Young but everything was 100mph at the time. Walsall are a big side, got men into the box and got the ball there too easily. We allowed them to bully us and surrendered midfield. Sutton and Smallwood didn't work. Thankfully, Lewis earned his corn. For the first time, Crichlow's defending worried me. Thought we looked like the away side, relying on breaks. Another plus, Wright put a couple of juicy crosses in and if that is a sample of what he can do, he will get assists.

Odd game at Sutton. Total domination for the first half hour then we saw our woodwork rattled a couple of times. Weren’t our best at the back today and overall happy with the win. Should have probably put 4 or 5 on the board though. Coley looked very good for Harrogate and almost scored a really decent goal. Surprised Exeter can’t make use of someone like that, have they improved since last season in terms of personnel?

Murray was turned inside out on more than one occasion, so much so he fell over.
Making himself and his teamates look amateurish.

How can the likes of Hamilton and Hastie be ahead of Gray.
Agree about Sylla and Niang is growing into it.

Tbf our keeper had a blinder today, you won’t come across keepers like that every week. He’s already had a number of MOM performances and won’t be in league 2 long.

You were far better than o expect, but we certainly weren’t anywhere near where we should have been. Happy to get away with one today and hopefully improve.
We handled Cook well today apart from switching off once and he scored he didnt cause us the problems he usually has in recent years need these 2 new players we have some very raw young players at the moment.

Very few negatives for us at the moment which is a strange feeling. We are keeping clean sheets and are a fluid side with quick and technical players and are generally a good watch although today Tranmere were typically tough to play through. It's another 3 points against a side who will finish top half no question.

Surely some common sense has to be used though if both sets of fans are waving calling for help ?

He was hilariously bad. Looked like he’d never laced up boots before.

You certainly had some decent chances but failed to test Vigouroux. Thought you were excellent in the defensive and middle thirds of the pitch. Very successful at disrupting us and doing the niggly side of things. Not much up top, though, and didn’t seem to have a player capable of carrying the ball to worry us. Going to be in a lot of low-margin games this season which isn’t usually a recipe for much more than mid-table.

Your manager must be on the brink?

Not only are you not picking up many points but most opposition fans are picking you out as the worst team they’ve faced.

Watching your goals on the ITV highlights show last weekend was seriously impressive. Your attack looked so full of speed and quick movement and passing.
