Any idea how ‘best team in the league’ Bolton are getting on at struggling relegation threatened Fleetwood? :dk:

5-0 which takes us above the best team in the league.

We’ve given Oxford a far harder game than I thought we would, the ref was absolute shite, not the reason we lost, but the standard in League 1 is getting worse, he made Kettle look half competent

The only thing I can’t believe is that we are only losing 1-0, nothing can get worse unless Boris cancels Christmas after the Tories Xmas do
Got away with that tonight; we were poor. Almost drew (and could have lost it!).

Despite our performance we probably should have won 5-0!

Appreciate Cheltenham had a massive off day but that’s a hell of a win for us. Jesus, what a performance.

We were poor, Charlton were very good. Walton stopped it from being 4 or 5 nil.

Toto Nsiala and possibly Walton tangling/pushing/shoving with 3 or 4 young Town fans.

You were expected to win 5-0 so I’m quite upbeat, first half was awful but second half there were things we can work with against lesser opposition before, new/manager/players

Is this how you usually play under Cook?

Absolutely shocking.

Morsy, poor captain in my books. Come out and publicly commented on owners who invest ‘not having patience’. Awful game tonight, never in the game and a captain should be commanding the players, building the play but nothing.

He was a major player who let Cook down and he was one that Cook will have chosen, not the so called Mark Ashton.

Over 3k Town fans there tonight witnessed that dross

Result never looked in doubt but the way we crumbled second half was an absolute embarrassment. Credit to you though, a million times better than us from minute 1 to 90.

Pompey should have won that. I said I’d take a point last week, even more so after seeing the back 3 and again more so playing 25 minutes with 10 men. Peacock-Farrell was outstanding.

Some of those players need an injection of confidence and ought to be good enough at least mid-table League One level.

Others looked well off it and light years away, particularly first half. No doubt they’ll be bombed at the first opportunity if there are takers

A busy January ahead for you guys!

Burton looked absolute shit in the first half and we were running riot with 2 goals (and could have been more) in the first half.

Then they really pulled it back round in the second half, we sat off, and allowed them to play some very neat passing football, and that coupled with their long throw merchant seemed to rattle us a little and BAFC got back in the game with a really weird goal...literally all the players (ours and theirs) seemed to stop dead as if no-one expected it to go in.

2-1.

We then shored up the midfield a little, having gone with a very attacking starting line up, and that seemed to kill things off a bit (helped of course by the usual blatant timewasting). But credit to Burton for actually successfully changing things at half time.

Very much so, we still have six first team players out but how long can you keep using that as an excuse. As a squad we are more than capable of being mid-table but if they are mainly unfit and badly managed it doesn’t make a jot.

Just noticed that there were games on Wednesday as well:
  • Milton Keynes Dons vs Plymouth Argyle
  • Wigan Athletic vs Shrewsbury Town

whoops.

Oh boy.

Great way for me to celebrate another year round the sun on this rock, phenomenal performance, three 5-0 away wins in less than a season and a half!

Apparently there were arguments between players and fans tonight, calls of ‘you’re not fit to wear the shirt’

How you played in the 2nd half looked better by far than the first half but you were still leaky at the back. Kamikaze defending from your corner (I think) when Gavin Whyte was clean through from our half and should have scored. Considering how more even it was we had so many good chances in the 2nd half. I reckon you should consider starting with the 2 big forwards you had at the end for the next game as you looked the most dangerous you had all game.

You shouldn't have been given a chance after that the first half but Cam Brannagan being changed at half time as a precaution weakened our team in the middle.

Very pleased with our winner obviously, good run by Steve Seddon and a lovely finish by James Henry. Henry really is an important part of our squad.

Bolton should pot Evatt and try to get Alex Neil who still lives in Grimsargh.

Haven't got time to type too much but Crewe's first penalty is an absolute joke, it a yard outside the penalty area with the ref looking straight at it!

We now have one CB for Saturday - one off with concussion tonight and his replacement sent off!

Well that was easy, should have have been 4 or 5.

We were good, Ipswich were Crewe/Doncaster levels of bad.
