If we replicate the performances of recent weeks we will win, but we are due a dip after seven games unbeaten. However, Clarke, Spearing, Vaughan and Feeney were all rested on Tuesday night, which could prove crucial.

With Cheltenham - Carlisle postponed and Stevenage at home on Tuesday, we have got a great chance to push into the top three.

It will be interesting to see whether Nugent gets on the pitch.

I have been watching Tranmere's recent run of good form and rise up table with interest.
Could it be the third time in last three occasions that FGR and Tranmere are in same division and vying for promotion.
With four promotion places available, that could be a good omen for both clubs.

As have I, I backed them to go up at 33/1 a while ago

Expecting a tough game up at barrow, they played really well at our place so if they play anything like that then we’ll struggle again.

our first choice keeper is now out for the season which is a massive loss in my eyes, our back up keeper burton just doesn’t cut it for me, to small and not commanding enough.

one of the new cb’s to start and hopefully stops us conceding.

think we’ve always won up at barrow when we was in the conference! Nailed on to lose now then!

Ross Embleton has already confirmed that our strikers Ruel Sotiriou and Lee Angol will both be out for the forseeable future with hamstring injuries - So we're looking at around 2 months then and possibly the end of the season for both to return.

With Lee Angol being out of contract at the end of the season, thats probably the last we've seen of him. Has talent but doesn't use it enough, is lazy and has picked up 3 hamstring injuries in his 18 months with us. Good riddance to him.

Danny Johnson is closing in on a return, but we only have one fit striker in Tristan Abrahams - Conor Wilkinson can play there but has been alot more effective as a right forward this season.

Out of form Colchester come to town, we haven't done well against them recently so I wouldn't be suprised if we lost.

On Tuesday 3 of our new signings made very good impacts on the team, so hoping this can continue because at Bolton last week we was terrible I thought, against another out of form side. We barely laid a glove on them.

Salford away.....Evatt got a good problem he now has the best squad in the league to choose from.
Cannot see many changes from our team that beat Orient, but the now will be some quality not even getting on the bench.
Hopefully you can go from 19th to 18th with your super, all-improved squad.

Difficult to predict for us against the Stags tomorrow, they are probably the best side we have played against this season at home, or at least the one that asked the most questions...they definitely deserved to beat us. Their home form is outstanding but we have been better when playing away for several seasons, I will go for a 1-1 draw.

Hardest thing is predicting our starting line up, it would be hard to justify dropping anyone from the team who won last Tuesday, but if Matt and Adams are available they may have to settle for a seat on the bench.

All depends how we react to not playing for so long.

Admittedly I’ve not watched or listened to every game, but tranmere are as good I’ve seen this season, the game at our place was a cracker.
Our form is spank someone then lose 6 and repeat.
I think with some people of our better players back we may have more of a chance here, but it still spells defeat.

I do want to see some of our new players in action but we never win when I watch on iFollow, so it's a tough decision to make.

Dear me, 18th will be a improvement on where you are ending up
Well, wherever it is it ain’t L2. We’re in the same position as you - only a league higher.

Maybe next season!

It’s weird... we’ve won 3 games since October in the league... 6-3, 3-0 and 5-1

That said despite moans from our fans about scoring we are one of the leagues highest scoring sides, even in defeat we have scored 3 twice!

Hopefully we are more confident after last weekend and with the big guns back we can get back to the very good Port Vale from the first ten games. Tomorrow should give us a clue where we are with the likes of Gibbo, Monty and Manny back as hard to judge against a poor Southend.

The only game we had remotely close to a full side was Bolton which we won 6-3 but can we keep a fit squad now until May.

Not involved this weekend, but Chris Beech has held a press conference just a few minutes ago. Seems we've suffered a couple of serious injuries in training. Some kind of freak injury perhaps, he says we have a player with a broken foot and another with a broken ankle. No mention of which players.

UPDATE: OK, we did mention the players, just not in the initial tweet. It's Morgan Feeney and Jamie Armstrong, both young players and unfortunate but neither of them are first team or even first understudies in their position so panic averted.

I'd watch them if I were you. Barra are in a false position.

Don’t believe all that bollocks. It’s the time for ST renewal, he’s trying to flog the club and he’s had an injunction stopping him from selling as there’s an ownership dispute.

More chance of you coming over all sensible.

Tbf, I’d imagine a whole host of clubs are teetering financially. I am surprised that none have gone belly up already.

Agree.....said it in August through to October on this forum....Even said some teams should be feeder clubs, but still be there own club, just take Premier league reserves and blood them.....
Got the usual Bolton should be Burnley/Blackburn feeder club
I would have been happy to take Burnleys best 4 youngsters ie Adam Taylor, Lucas Jenson and two others as long as Burnley paid there wages.......We will always be independent, but some teams need to give this some thought.
It would work for both teams

We've been there all season, not sure how long constitutes a false position!
Bolton are in a false position since they should be in the Premier League according to some deluded maniacs.

And I'd gladly take it come May.
agreed......one goal this season to remain in this league
Next season you may or may not need to build......A lot of teams will look to cut costs and your squad may be good enough for a top half finish next season.......Can see whats happening with Wigan/Swindon escalating.
If we was in the position we was in 24 months ago i doubt we would survive......its all about timing

Pitch inspection at 8:30 tomorrow morning at Field Mill, what are the chances of it being on with the weather predicted to be pretty wet?
