Crawley? Ugh.
Not very friendly!
Win, lose or draw (hopefully the latter, maybe the former) will enjoy my day out.

If you do go to Crawley try and find yourself a Sussex Pond pudding...for an experience that will leave you feeling like your arteries have narrowed to a point where very little blood will ever pass through them again.

I hadn't really paid attention to he L2 ties today, but Mansfield having the chance to go top, and Barrow trying to get back under the radar against a resurgent Tranmere stand out.

Also this is a rare occasion when i'll be cheering on FGR.

Rovers not gone for the obvious and replacing Apter with a wide player, instead it looks like McAlear a central midfielder moved out wide. Very attacking bench too, surprising against a side at the top end of the table. Should be interesting…

Oh well, we lasted four minutes today before conceding...not really sure if that is a positive or not...it does give us most of the game to find an equaliser to share the points.

Of course in a must win game Salford have come out all guns blazing, and we look slack and shite. Can't even mark Matt Smith who's their main danger man.

Robinson had the ball in his hands then gave a cheeky grin and deliberately chucked it away, the silly twat. Pointless card. We're level but more by luck than judgement really. At least Robinson can't gee them up at half time.

I’ve seen better quality football at the park.

Somehow beating Mansfield, capitalised on an early mistake and scored a scruffy goal. Had some chances on the counter attack, but we've been so wasteful the odd times we've got the ball, keep giving it back to them.

We've had to defend pretty much the entire half. The keeper has made some big saves and the defence have made about 5 key blocks. Not sure we can hold out in the 2nd half, but it's been far better than I expected so far. Can see why Mansfield are near the top, quick, incisive, picking up all the 2nd balls, linking play etc. Very hard to handle.

Missing Apter greatly. Barrow edged the first half.

Contrived to concede a pen at the death and let them back in. We were probably second best tbh but had got ourselves in front with a lovely goal from Stevens and really needed a win. Doomed.

Crewe definitely a promotion threat now Long (pen) is back.

Mansfield back down to earth, that hoping to nick games at home coming back to haunt them. Just don't score enough goals there.

We're incredibly good....at shooting ourselves in the foot. Game was there to be won, but tbh we wouldn't really have deserved it.

If you were a neutral a fitting summary of that shit fest would be - In a game of virtually zero quality between two horrendous sides, Charles Breakspear was star of the show.

Defensive win today, in a game I didn't think we stood a chance in, away at Mansfield. Honestly over the moon that we've just got three points from there.

Good pick if games lasted 85 minutes. Not sure what happened there but it must hurt to concede 3 in the last 10 minutes.

Can't wait to see the highlights. Bradfords second goal sounds odd. Addai saves a Cook pen the fumbles the ball into the net!

Good win for us. Orsi may attract some interest as he is scoring some goals. If only Grimsby had a player who could get this amount of goals . :fish:

You got the result we never really threatened a well deserved win

Thought we shaded it but still one of those games where it'd take an error or a great goal to break the deadlock and so it proved. Decent, but tight game with both teams going for it. Tranmere were well organised and had some tidy players, just probably missed that focal point up front. Nearly snatched a point at the death, not sure how it didn't go in.

Pleasing for us to get back to winning ways after a bit of a stutter over Christmas. We changed the lineup somewhat to deal with Tranmere's wide players who were their biggest threat. Excellent that we can rotate the squad around to deal with injuries, suspensions and to counter opposition threats yet still look strong and pick up good results.

What a result that was. Backs to the wall stuff, but we looked a threat on the counter and defended brilliantly. Mansfield had a lot of crosses, but only managed 3 shots on target in the whole game, which is a testatment to how we defended.

Even more impressive given we had 3 players go off for enforced changes and ended the game with a knacked CBR upfront who could barely run, another striker out on the LW, 2 wingers sort of just playing where ever they were needed and no natural midfielders on the pitch. Great character and resolve from both the players and management.

My 6th (I think, getting on a bit!) visit to Bradford, and always a good day out.
Overall W8 L4 D3
Away W3 L3 D1
We haven't lost in last 8 games against them.
2-1 win (he said hopefully)
Well, even first half and sat back in 2nd and Bradford went 2-1 up.
We decided to start playing again and 3 in 10 minutes to win 4-2!
Just in pub celebrating prior to train home.
COYR!
PS, if Bradford had a finisher they'd probably have won.

Hopeless stuff from our lot. Those last 15 minutes were a disgrace but we were dreadful all game. Crawley are a weird team, they can look like a pub side at times but are capable of playing some really good football and scored a couple of well worked goals this afternoon.
