A match between two teams that are both out of good form.
Grimsby at near base of current form table and home form while FGR have dropped down main and away tables.
FGR travel to Grimsby with a dodgy defensive line-up, three of their back line were missing in last game.
Therefore this could be the first win in a Grimsby revival.
Whatever result there will undoubtedly be goals a-plenty, which is usual with these two long established opponents.

Cheltenham v Vale Reserves with the injuries we’ve got. Oddly the year since our last visit which was our last game before lockdown.

Defending well, not creating enough despite plenty of play in good positions, we will huff and puff, maybe even look better in general play than our opponents, bob up the one decent chance and probably lose to a sucker punch again. Seems the way it’s going.

Need to get this out the way then look to three massive home games that could define our future.

Two in form teams meet at Valley Parade on Saturday. Bolton 6 wins on the bounce, Bradford City 5 wins on the bounce.

We would have been expecting a crowd of about 20,000 in normal times for this one, without a doubt.

I would imagine both teams and supporters would be happy with a point from this.

Well, we're handing out surprise wins to teams down the bottom so suppose it was about time Grimsby's turn came around. We do have the advantage of playing away though.

Mansfield fans have told us not to worry, we've got three points coming our way on Saturday.

Barrow 0-2 Mansfield.

Said i would take 4 points from the Oldham Bradford games......I have now got greedy
Think this is going to break i follow viewing figures for lge 2.
Our unbeaten run may not look good if you took the negative view of the teams we have beaten.
Our back 4 have not conseeded a goal in over 4 games due to the midfield pair of Williams and Lee who nullify any attacking threat. On a side note Lee had a 97% pass complete rate last night.
Think Bradford will certainly test those stats this Saturday.

Oh shit we're the worst team right now form wise!

Our journey to non-league football has begun..

Can only realistically see a Morecambe win... as is the way with us though, we'll score first, briefly look to be in control of the game, and then concede a penalty and a wonder-goal and end the game looking like we're playing Barcelona.

2-1 to Morecambe.

And before the first match in that form guide, before the FGR game on the 2nd of Feb we were 2nd in the form table (behind Mansfield), 2nd in the league (behind Cambridge) but with five games in hand and had won 9 out of 11 home games.

We seem to get into a solid promotion position only to collapse on a fairly regular basis, so much so that the old conspiracy theory about John Nixon not wanting us to go up as he'll lose his place on the EFL board has surfaced on twitter again. It's like we have these tweets waiting and ready to go when the inevitable post-Christmas collapse comes. Don't think I've ever seen a collapse quite like this one though, this is intense levels of bottling promotion.

FGR have only won 4 of the last 6 so apparently now dropping down the form table..... Easy 3 points for Grimsby.

Grimsby 0-2 FGR

Hopefully one or two of our injured defenders are back, or at the very least Bailey Cargill passes any concussion tests, as even Grimsby would fancy their chances of bagging a few against a defence containing 3 right backs and a second year scholar.

Even the young lad (or possibly Kane Wilson?) looked like he might have pulled something chasing back in the 100th minute last night after Ben Speedie, the worst ref I've seen all season, added an absurd amount of time on so he could continue to 'entertain' the tiny amount of people still watching for as long as possible. I mean who the fuck wants to play on another 11 minutes when there haven't been any serious injuries and the game is dead and buried?

This was a collapse that set off an 11 year decline...

Hmmmm, I seem to remember a lot of 1-0s over the years. There definitely have been a fair few goals in some of the games, but without checking I'd wager that 1-0 is the most commonly re-occuring scoreline by a long way.

The fact that you've used the phrase "Grimsby would fancy their chances" in a positive context and not in relation to our imminent relegation shows just how much you're overestimating the optimism in the Grimsby camp right now.

Just need to keep pace with the likes of Cheltenham. We owe Crawley one for the 4-0 drubbing at their place earlier in the season. Expecting a tough game but think we’ll just about come out on top.

Not sure how our game will go. I didn't expect us to win last night so this is somewhat of a free shot.

We clearly have the fight and desire to win games it's just the quality that is letting us down. We've been completely outclassed by 3 sides near the top in the past 3 games.

We're probably one of the best sides in the league off the ball and one of the worst on the ball.

I am so disillusioned with my 'Crock of Shit' I may not even bother with ifollow for this game.

The depression that comes over my family and I watching this current team is damaging our health.
Team in this instance being rouge cart horses romping around a field chasing shadows; not the usual definition which is "a group of individuals (human or non-human) working together to achieve their goal."

FGR at 5/6 to beat us is like printing money. I don’t gamble anymore but for anyone who does I suggest selling every valuable item that you own (house, car, wife?) and lumping it all on it.

I was fortunate enough to watch us when we were allowed in for a couple of games but the Oldham game last week was the first time I'd seen us win on iFollow.

It's depressing viewing but the way I'm looking at it these could be our last 16 games left in the Football League for a generation so I'll just put up with the pain. Shithousing our way to a 1-0 away win over Workington is a lot more fun than watching us at the moment.

Is this some superstition thing you have going on?

Last time I predicted it, it happened!

I think we'll lose our next two but beat Scunny and Walsall. Draw against Stevenage

Really looking forward to the game. Have no idea which way it will go, Bradford with a tougher game last night, whereas we gave a few key players a rest. Think we start unchanged from that too. 3/4 who came off would be most likely to change, so possibly stick with them.

Wish we had a few more points early in the season though, doesn't feel like we have much room to slip up. We're top 2/3 over 5/10/15/20/25. So the poor start is impacting us a bit.

I would imagine most teams fans in the top half of the table would be happy if you shared the spoils.Sorry but my money would be on the Noblot.

Despite how poorly we played down in Sussex earlier in the season I was very impressed with Crawley. If the Tranmere players can recover in time from that gruelling, bruising but fair encounter against Newport then I think this should be a good game.
