Picked up a decent point in the end against Ipswich. I'd say that Ipswich have looked the best team we've played this season. They were totally in control, albeit not creating too many chances, until Whalley's goal totally out of the blue.

Can't imagine the red card would have gone down too well. Why the central defender is lunging in on the keeper in the opposition box whilst 1-0 up and coasting and already on a yellow card, is totally beyond me. Even then, they were comfortable until the goal.

Somehow I doubt it. We'll be back in the playground soon.

Deserved defeat to Cheltenham yesterday - congrats to them for their first win against us since they rose out of non-league.

Plenty of depression in the Pompey ranks. We're told that we will have a similar playing budget next season so we are likely to finish in the same mid-table position unless the Cowleys can work some magic.

It's quite possible that the lack of ambition will start to affect season ticket sales, which have remained remarkably strong in this division. Expecting the departure of more key players in the summer, as we don't seem willing (or able?) to tie them down.

Fans are now comparing the Cowleys less favourably to Jackett, which I think is unfair. Jackett had a much higher budget in comparison with our competitors and squandered much of the money garnered from big player sales for Matt Clarke and Jamal Lowe. He had four unsuccessful bites at the promotion cherry and it was absolutely right to move on. Things could turn toxic very quickly though if we make a poor start next season.

Has the owner reneged on promises to the cowleys?

We bottled it yesterday, from the team sheet to the first half performance. Thankfully that lot don’t really have much of a threat otherwise we’d have been dead and buried at half time.

Second half was better after a couple of changes and we scored an excellent goal assisted by SW17’s favourite ever player. On Lewington, I’m really glad I don’t hate a player enough to jump over the hoardings and try to punch him, though to his credit he literally laughed every single bit of abuse off throughout the whole game.

I wasn’t a fan of being shepherded along the street whilst almost being trampled by a police horse or two, but all in all the old bill did a good enough job.

The run must end at some point DD so be happy it wasn't there. I know I may be sounding daft but fancy us at yours for some unknown reason.

I’d take a draw from you lot if you offered it to me now. This weekend coming will be the one that has us decide if we’re going up automatically or settling for the play offs as we have Oxford away on the Tuesday and they’ll probably need something to keep the play off hope alive.

We tend to struggle on tighter smaller stands so Stadium MK should be better suited for us and you're not a niggly side either.

It's a good question. I'd say probably not. There was a general feeling at Pompey that all League One clubs playing budgets would have to drop, post-Covid. Turns out that wasn't the case, and many clubs increased instead.

Great last gasp win again yesterday and thanks to bolton and gillingham getting a point we should have a good chance now of staying in the top 6. Alex Neil has us much more solid and we have once again scored late under him. If only we appointed him straight away instead of fucking about with Keane for a fortneet we might not have lost those games in between against donny etc and could have been in the top two hunt.

Well done Wigan they are all but up imo but wtf has happened to Rotherham, i thought they had promotion sewed up weeks ago. Gonna be an interesting last few games. Sunderland v Rotherham is our re-arranged home game in the midweek before final day so i reckon a few MK Dons fans will be cheering us on.
You mean, great last gasp point stealing.

We were the better team, although not at our best, but came up against yet another keeper pulling off the saves of his life. That's three games running now and the net result is probably season over for us. It's hard to take after some of the fantastic football we've played this season, and being up there all season. It's important now that the players don't throw the towel in (I'm sure they won't) and finish on a high, even if that means finishing a frustrating seventh, and a point off the play-offs.

It's not sour grapes, but I'd say Sunderland are the sixth best team in the current top six and will be in this league next season.

That’s pretty much how we’ve played under McKenna but we don’t score enough goals. Game should have been put to bed. Reckon we’ll have a couple of new strikers next season.

My first visit to Shrewsbury, some of the friendliest fans I’ve come across

Disappointing to only get the draw against Gillingham but fair play to them, Harris has got them performing for one another and battling away. They were far better than the reverse fixture back in October, for sure.

They played exactly like Donny should have done, but didn't - sticking in the tackles left, right and centre, and stopping our more creative players, which is what you want to see if you're scrapping to stay above water.

Vadaine Oliver seems like a bit of a donkey but he was certainly putting himself about.

Think you were lucky to get a point In the end.

The difference between Harris' team and Evans' is massive the players are fighting for Harris whereas I think they had stopped playing for Evans

Massive weekend ahead for us if we get 6 points I think we'll stay up

Both teams had the same shots on target however our keeper did pull off a great save and so did yours at Ross Stewarts one on one so it is slight sour grapes. Alex Neil admitted he set us up wrong but he has got us hard to beat and scoring late which is a good thing i suppose. I thought you shaded the match only just mind just as we shaded the match at the SOL which you got a point out of & that day i came out the ground believing we should have got all 3. I genuinely thought a few weeks back you were nailed on for top 6 with the form you were in but this season has seen many twist and turns and even more to come so don’t count yourselves out just yet pal as looking at the fixtures it seems all of us in the top 6 still have time to fuck our seasons up so it aint over till its over.
Look at Rotherham, they have royally fucked up but could still go up autos just as you could win the play offs still. I hope your wrong and we get up via playoffs but we usually lose in them so we’ll see u again next season probably haha.
